Special Containment Procedures: all specimens of scp must be contained in a stainless steel chamber. a suspended platform acts as a base for the structures that scp create. water fills the bottom of the chamber. the chamber itself is 15x15x15m and the platform is 10x10m. the water used fills 2/5 of the chamber. The water is treated with mild pesticides and is replenished twice every month. every year the chemical composition must be changed to stop specimens from developing immunity. trials are in progress from the insecticide producing scp. food and water are dispensed via a dumbwaiter. the dumbwaiter in question is coated in PFTE as with the wire suspending it. this must be reapplied once every three weeks. a winch allows the dumbwaiter to be raised and lowered when feeding the specimens. steel cables coated in PFTE prevent scp specimens from being able to climb whilst holding the platform above the water. vents positioned along the level of the platform expel airborne sedatives to put specimens in an unconscious state.
Description: Resembling a standard generic ant scp specimens are found with three
castes: the 0.5-1cm workers and the larger major caste being 1-1.5cm in size the queen being the last caste but the size and colour are unknown. specimens are matte grey in colour. they have stone like bumps along there body this is made of a variety of materials that their fellow sisters spit this onto each other to act as armour. nodes along the abdomen and gastor expel an extremely volatile acid that burns through every known substance except a few. trials are planned to begin involving the implementation of it in the neutralisation of scp-682.
When scp build their structures they mimic regular leaf cutter ants and chew building materials
to return to their nest with. they proceed to build surface based nests. they build straight up in a rough circular design. from a distance they have the appearance of man-made structures. in fact
the colony had existed for many years before it was moved to a secure facility because the people of ██████ had willingly accepted it as a man-made structure.
