SCP-XXXX
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX is currently uncontained, despite numerous capture missions and encounters with Foundation personnel. MTF-Theta-35, “Foxfire”, has been created with the task of tracking and containing SCP-XXXX.
SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a modified humanoid containment chamber with walls constructed of at minimum 5in of heavy plate steel. Video surveillance of SCP-XXXX’s cell on both the interior and exterior are to be required at all times.
The containment chamber’s exterior is to be fitted with several ‘sealing’ tags constructed by Shinto priests, with no less than 5 on each wall, and 8 placed on the door to the cell.
One Shinto priest must be on-site at all times and must be on standby when direct interactions with SCP-XXXX are performed. As requested by the current priest, no less than 4 Shide1 staffs must be ready for use near SCP-XXXX’s cell should containment ever be breached. Personnel that are to interact with SCP-XXXX directly must follow the priest’s instructions strictly, no matter how unusual they may seem.
Two armed security guards are to be stationed outside of SCP-XXXX’s cell, both armed with a Shide staff in addition to their standard equipment and blessed by the on-site priest prior to beginning each shift.
SCP-XXXX is to be given water and food on request but is limited to 3 full meals a day. Fresh linens are to be exchanged bi-weekly.
Research on the similarities between SCP-XXXX and SCP-953 is ongoing.
SCP-XXXX may have a connection to SCP-953, see Addendum XXXX-3.
Description:
This document is to be updated upon successful containment and proper analysis of the subject.
SCP-XXXX is a male 4-tailed vulpine humanoid creature with orange/tan fur and green eyes, roughly measuring 1.5 to 2m in height with an estimated weight of 90-100kg. Site researchers have determined that the subject shows similarities to the kitsune or ‘Fox of Many Tails’, a creature of Japanese mythology. While all of the subject’s capabilities are currently unknown, it has been observed to show polymorphic properties, disguising itself as Foundation security, research, and other personnel in repeated attempts to infiltrate Site 17, each with varying degrees of success. Regardless of what form SCP-XXXX is currently in, it displays above human levels of speed, strength, and agility to varying degrees.
Personnel should note that SCP-XXXX rarely appears in its vulpine form, usually shifting into another human form upon exposure. This ‘default’ form can be described as a young adult Japanese male with short dark brown hair, green eyes, and a thin physical build. Anyone spotted matching this description are to be reported to Site security immediately.
SCP-XXXX has also been shown to have regenerative properties. Events have been documented where the subject has been wounded, sometimes fatally, by gunfire or bladed weapons, only for the wound to heal within moments. The time to full recovery varies based on the injury itself, ranging from seconds to several minutes. It is currently unknown if there are limits to its regenerative capabilities. Tissue samples are to be taken upon containment.
The only discovered viable mean of harming the subject is with Shide or other protective charms of the Shinto religion. These will burn or cut through SCP-XXXX on contact. Wounds created by these items appear to take a significantly longer period of time to regenerate. Site 17 is in the process of outfitting all its security personnel with these assets.
Addendum XXXX-1: Initial Encounter SCP-XXXX was initially encountered during a containment breach of SCP-347, SCP-347 fled the facility and reached a nearby city. A capture team was deployed to retrieve the subject.
SCP-XXXX, in its default human form at the time, was observed to follow SCP-347 as if it knew where the escaped subject was. The capture team confirmed via infrared cameras that SCP-XXXX was indeed following SCP-347 without difficulty.
SCP-347 confronted SCP-XXXX after the subject followed SCP-347 into an alleyway. SCP-347 shouted at the subject before attempting to flee. Capture team operatives moved in and apprehended SCP-347 without further incident.
Agent █████ questioned SCP-XXXX of its actions, asking how it was able to locate SCP-347 without any sort of specialized equipment. SCP-XXXX declined to answer the question, and instead questioned the Agent on what would happen to SCP-347.
SCP-XXXX voluntarily agreed to be transported back to Site 17 with SCP-347, on the condition it would have its questions answered. Seeing as the subject did not express any violent behavior this action was approved by Dr. Kurtz.
