Object #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is currently contained within a standard humanoid containment cell in Site 19. The inner walls of the cell are to be plated with a 5 cm thick sheet of metal, no softer than an 8.5 on the Mohs hardness scale. The cell is to be furnished with standard living conditions for that of a human. Subject is to be administered a specialized nutritional supplement, XXXX-DE-04, on a weekly basis, as to delay SCP-XXXX-A. Subject is also to be administered anesthetics on a bi-monthly basis. A monthly psychological checkup for SCP-XXXX is required, unless SCP-XXXX-A is nearing activation.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an androgynous Caucasian male of approximately 1█-2█ years of age, standing 1.82 m tall. Subject displays exceedingly poor psychical health; it appears visibly malnourished and emaciated, with an extremely pale complexion. Subject’s hair reaches to its waist and is of a green color, which research has determined to be caused by the integration of an unknown species of mold within its hair follicles. SCP-XXXX’s anatomy displays several anomalous features, such as two rows of abnormally sharpened teeth and clawed digits. This includes multiple holes – approx. 70 with diameters of 1 cm – that cover the subject’s entire back region and lead directly to the bloodstream. Despite these conditions, SCP-XXXX displays exceptional physical ability, demonstrating jaw strength of ~1200 psi. The subject’s intellectual capacity is low, struggling to solve elementary level math. SCP-XXXX is capable of speech, demonstrating tendency to nervous behavior.
The subject’s internal biology appears to be relatively normal, aside from one feature: a large, bloated organ located near the liver. Due to the size of the anomalous organ, the liver of the subject has shrunk, and suffers impeded function. This organ has been designated SCP-XXXX-A. SCP-XXXX-A is largely inactive for inconsistent periods of time, ranging from 5 weeks to 6 months. Following the activation of SCP-XXXX-A, several eggs – ranging from around 150 to 400 – of the locust species Calliptamus italicus are released through a large valve in the organ, which circulate through the subject’s bloodstream and eventually exit through the subject's holes. The eggs then rapidly hatch and metamorphose into adults. These locusts – collectively referred to as SCP-XXXX-B – display aggressive tendencies, and attempt to devour any matter visible. Members of SCP-XXXX-B have also been observed to devour and digest nearly any material, ranging from certain metals – depending on the hardness of the material – to toxic substances. Members of SCP-XXXX-B will expire within at most 30 minutes of release, regardless of how much matter has been consumed. Tests involving the physical abilities of SCP-XXXX-B have been prohibited, following an incident on ██/██/2███ in which SCP-XXXX-B ate through a degraded area of the test chamber, leading to a small breach, along with the deaths of Doctors ████ and ██████ as well as ██ Class D personnel.
All attempts to administer food to SCP-XXXX have resulted in the quickening of the activation of SCP-XXXX-A. It is currently unknown how SCP-XXXX obtains their energy. However, if nutrients are not administered to SCP-XXXX for an extended period of time, SCP-XXXX-A will cause immense irritation within the subject; as a result, the subject will phase into an aggressive, mindless state. During this phase, SCP-XXXX will display behavior similar to SCP-XXXX-B, and attempt to devour all nearby matter. This state has been recorded to last at most 1 hour. Despite acting parasitic towards SCP-XXXX, genetic tests have found that SCP-XXXX-A is composed of natural tissues. In addition, SCP-XXXX is not only able to digest a large range of material, further linking its connection to SCP-XXXX-A and B, but is also able to gain nutrients from otherwise indigestible matter.
SCP-XXXX is regularly placid – even friendly – and willingly holds conversations with staff, but is prone to mood swings and other instabilities. SCP-XXXX seems to detest the presence of SCP-XXXX-A within its body, and wishes to "cure" itself.
Addendum A-1: As of ██/██/2███, any and all surgical procedures –particularly surgical removals – on SCP-XXXX are forbidden. Failure to comply will result in immediate relocation, and possible termination.
Object #: SCP-RUST
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: Due to the nature of SCP-RUST, it can not be “contained”, and instead must be prevented from manifesting.
[CONTAINMENT PROCEDURES PENDING]
Any living/non-living organism or object infected by SCP-RUST-3 is to be quarantined indefinitely. Termination of subjects is authorized if the infection has not proceeded to the later stages, but must be followed with immediate quarantine.
Description: SCP-RUST refers to an anomaly manifesting primarily in North America, while also gaining more prevalence in other continents. The phenomenon begins with an individual receiving an electronic message – including, but not limited to: short messaging services (SMS, or “texting”), e-mail, etcetera – containing [DATA EXPUNGED]. This unopened message is a memetic hazard, observing it will compel the individual to open and read it. Individuals with high memetic tolerances are able to avoid the persuasion of clicking on the message, but the following events still occur if the message is read out of curiosity.
Once read, the following events occur at a 98% success rate:
-Subject falls unconscious.
-Subject supposedly enters an alternate plane of reality, designated SCP-RUST-1.
-This reality appears to take the shape of a long, narrow hallway with a factory-like environment. The hallway appears to be composed of black metals of unknown origin, and is dimly lit in an orange color by multiple lights embedded in the structure. Air inside the structure appears to be oxygen deficient. The hallway eventually shows signs of oxidative corrosion, including: a rusty odor, flaking, and general weakened support.
-The end of the hallway leads to a massive chamber, estimated 50 meters high, with a large entity – SCP-RUST-2 – present within the center. SCP-RUST-2 takes the form of a ~35 meter tall mass of tangled wires and computer monitors. [More description coming soon]
-Twelve entities, designated SCP-RUST 4 through 16, surround SCP-RUST-2. These entities appear as tall humanoid figures cloaked in black robes, with the skin of each being completely covered. The most notable feature of each figure is the presence of an ~81 cm (32 inch) width computer monitor in place of the head. Each figure’s monitor contains a different image, including:
-A large red eye with black sclera. Appears to be function as an organic optical organ, and often blinks.
-A bloodied mouth on a black background. Moves accordingly as subject speaks.
-An emaciated, starving man of unknown ethnicity and race.
-An animated image of World War I trench warfare.
-[REDACTED]
-A dilapidated, burning city. Also animated.
Once present within the main chamber, SCP-RUST-2 will directly speak to the individual, and exercise a memetic hazard to persuade them to “join a cause”. Regardless of whether the individual agrees to this or not, they will be infected with SCP-RUST-3 upon awakening. SCP-RUST-3 is a necrotic infection that slowly corrodes the skin and internal structures of an organism, with the skin appearing to “flake” away, while changing color to reddish-orange. For this reason, it has been compared to the oxidation of iron. The infection will eventually take over the victim’s entire body. In this event, other effects may take place, such as: a large, deep orifice forming where the face previously was, growth of additional eyes in seemingly random locations, and sharper digits. Victims of SCP-RUST-3 seem to lose the sense of sight, but can seem to track non-infected organisms through unknown means. The goal of all those infected by SCP-RUST-3 is simply spread the virus, as it is highly contagious. It seems that inorganic objects may also be affected by SCP-RUST-3, although they simply “rust”, as opposed to the other affects on living creatures. Because of this trait, the infection can be transferred airborne, as the air itself around those infected has been corrupted.
When a significant amount of people/organisms have been infected with SCP-RUST-3, SCP-RUST 4-16 will begin to manifest in reality, and continue to spread the infection through touch and air. As of ██/██/████, six out of the twelve entities have been able to manifest in reality, with four of them being contained. Whereabouts of the other two are unknown. SCP-RUST 4-9 appear to be capable of vocalization, but often refuse to speak. However, SCP-RUST-8 is an exception to this. All knowledge about the pocket reality of SCP-RUST-1, the nature of SCP-RUST-2, and the purpose of SCP-RUST-3 are all derived from SCP-RUST-8. [Continue here]
Object #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be held in a standard containment cell. Use of SCP-XXXX outside of testing is strictly prohibited. No further action is necessary to contain SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX’s containment cell is to be refurbished monthly, to replace the materials transmuted by the device.
Instances of SCP-XXXX-2 are to be immediately terminated once testing has concluded. Physical force is most effective at achieving this.
SCP-XXXX-2A is to be contained within a cell similar to that of a padded solitary confinement room, instead composed of rubber. Under no circumstance is SCP-XXXX-2A to come into contact with any material that is not rubber or rubber like objects. SCP-XXXX-2A does not gain energy from consumption, so administering food is unnecessary.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a large coffin-like device, composed primarily of sandstone and hardened clays. Carved into the front of the device is the image of a humanoid figure with widened eyes and hands together in a prayer. The presence of a multitude of iron spikes on the insides give similarities to that of an iron maiden. Large, fibrous root-like objects appear to be growing out of SCP-XXXX’s exterior, anchoring it to the ground it rests on. Samples of these roots have been shown to contain an unknown liquid, designated SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-1 appears to contain molten ivory, nucleic acids, trace amounts of asbestos, iron, and [REDACTED]. SCP-XXXX appears to produce this liquid by itself. SCP-XXXX’s roots absorb the contents of the ground it is rooted in, and transmutes them into SCP-XXXX-1.
SCP-XXXX’s main anomalous effects occur when an organism – most often a human – is placed into the device. Once the device is shut, vital signs of the subject inside do not cease, as shown by infrared scans. After a time period of approximately half an hour, SCP-XXXX automatically opens and ejects its subject. The subject is thus referred to as an instance of SCP-XXXX-2.
Members of SCP-XXXX-2 are drained entirely of blood. Replacing the blood is SCP-XXXX-1, which still allows the SCP-XXXX-2 instance to function on a basic level, and show increased intelligence, physical strength, etc. However, SCP-XXXX-2 instances show signs of impaired mental stability – often leading to psychosis – among other issues, including but not limited to cluster headaches, loss of sight/hearing, and losing the ability to understand human speech. Occasionally, subjects may be incompatible with the process, as those who enter may exit as a small pile of viscera and mashed bone. In these occurrences, vital signs are evident up until the subject is ejected, as they are suddenly reduced to such. It is currently not known what causes SCP-XXXX to reject a subject.
SCP-XXXX-2A is a female of indeterminate age. The entirety of SCP-XXXX-2A’s body has been completely drained of color, with the skin, hair, internal organs, etcetera all being a bright white color. SCP-XXXX-2A is barely able to function on a basic level, with tests discovering that 40% of its brain has degraded. The entire existence of SCP-XXXX-2A supports the hypothesis that SCP-XXXX-2 instances do not age, and are effectively immortal. If SCP-XXXX-2A comes into contact with a non-synthetic material, it is able to transmute said material into SCP-XXXX-1, and use the newly made liquid to gain more energy.
Recovery Log: SCP-XXXX was discovered in the ruins of a collapsed Assyrian ziggurat. The device was found buried in the wreckage, along with several mutilated human bodies (presumably of SCP-XXXX-2 instances), and a weak SCP-XXXX-2A. SCP-XXXX-2A noticed personnel and attempted locomotion, but could only manage a feeble crawl. SCP-XXXX and SCP-XXXX-2A were presumed to be anomalous, and were thus transported to containment. A intact single slab of sandstone was also discovered at the site, which was inscribed with such in Akkadian:
"We will be held back no longer.
It is now time to become one with the gods."
Addendum: As of ██/██/12, SCP-XXXX’s ability to transmute other materials into SCP-XXXX-1 has been discovered. Reclassification to Euclid is accepted.
