A/N: Okay, this is my very first draft, I have no clue how this site works, but I will try my best to not screw up this post. Criticism is appreciated and very much needed, be as harsh as you want as long as it's backed up by evidence and detailed enough for me to make edits based off said criticism. Seeing as this is my first draft, it will likely be very messy with many gaps and very little coherent sentences

Main idea for SCP-XXXX:

chimerical humanoid entity based on Chinese mythological creature Qilin (Kirin and Girin in Japanese and Korean respectively)

object class euclid —> thaumiel

containment procedures are simple. A bed and a writing table are all that's needed in a standard humanoid entity containment cell. the entity enjoys Chinese ink painting (of which India ink, paper, a brush, and a water cup are needed) and playing the guqin (instrument is needed) to pass time, but has stated that these items are not necessary and that it will manage just fine if the foundation decides not to supply the entity with the materials

first seen and captured wandering middle of forest in the (redacted) mountains of China, willing to cooperate once translator was brought in
-can only understand traditional Chinese (in reading, writing, and speaking and listening)
>optional: is taking lessons to understand English as to provide convenience for foundation

entity is incredibly benevolent and empathetic. this entity is known to the ability to calm certain euclid (and very rarely keter) class anomalies. This calming effect only works when it is in the immediate vicinity of the second anomaly

entity has the ability to sense whether a person is "good" or "bad". this sense is very general, and often unreliable, seeing as "bad" could translate to something minor and therefore irrelevant. Entity removes mask in presence of a "good" person, and leaves mask on in presence of a "bad" person.

entity appears to be based heavily around the Chinese mythological creature the Qilin, and is equipped with abilities and powers that are often seen with the mythological creature. This includes fire manifestation and control and the ability to walk on clouds formed under the entity's feet

This entity can die. It can be injured, although recovery is substantially faster than that of an average human. As such, this entity should not be exposed to dangerous and deadly entities as an attempt to understand/better contain the aforementioned dangerous entity.

The entity's ability to understand and to calm is only effective on entities capable of feeling basic emotions and more.

although the entity itself seems to lack emotional capability (its emotions limited to contentment, fear, and lack thereof), the skills in terms of understanding emotions is great

as far as physical features, this entity takes the physical form of a well-built but lean late teens/early twenties Asian male. With "ideal" features and yellow eyes. two antlers resembling that of an adolescent buck's grow from two symmetrical spots on the top of the head, a grayish reptilian tail 2.79 meters in length (as of most recent measurement) acts as an extension of the tailbone, and is often seen being used to balance the entity. long golden hair grows from the end of the tail, starting out short before growing longer. The entity is bipedal. The nails of the entity grow into a small point forming makeshift claws, measuring no longer than a centimeter after leaving the bed of the nail. All hair apart from hair on the tail is red

It is theorized that the Qilin, a creature known to fiercely protect the innocent from harm, started evolving thousands, possibly millions, of years ago in order to be compatible with the human race as we grew more narrow-minded and fearful of these creatures. In order to continue to help humanity, it is theorized this entity has decided to take the form of which it may most easily gain the trust of humans: an adolescent human. It is clear this entity is still in the process of evolution, seeing as the tail and antlers are still present.

Since this entity has been walking the Earth for some time, it has had enough time to observe humanity and how it operates and has found that teens often go through the most suffering and has, therefore, become one to try to understand their suffering more in order to better help them

It seems this entity went through multiple stages of evolution without parents. How this happens is yet to be observed. Due to this, it is very likely the entity has been walking the Earth for thousands, possibly millions of years
