Elevator Pitch: An astronaut from another time and place is stuck here, and she is stuck with the Foundation.

+ Central, Hook, and Notes

Central Narrative: Perdita Sidus is an astronaut from the United Federations of the Americas from the year XXXX. She and her crew were sent out to explore the XXXXXXXXX Galaxy for strange occurrences that were recorded there. Unfortunately, she got separated in a life threatening situation and had to leave. The next thing she remembers is waking up, adrift in a deep, blue sea. She and her shuttle were promptly taken into Foundation custody. She is tested for any anomalous properties, and none are found. Her shuttle was torn apart to see if there was anything out of the ordinary. It is just a ship with advanced technology. Then, Ms. Sidus undergoes round after round of interrogation by Dr. Byrd. Sidus explains that she's just a botanist and can't give them any information about how she got there, where she's from, or even how her ship works. A series of interviews reveals more and more about where she's from. However, this also shows a decline of her mental state. She asks, practically begging, for even the most basic privileges. She eventually is allowed the minimum to keep her sated, such as some books to read and some plants that she can take care of. She is also given a journal where she is supposed to write down her thoughts. This is inspected daily, and one of the entries acts as the closer. In it, she expresses a desire to be a scientist again, and even wonders if she could join this Foundation.

Hook/Attention-Grabber: At it's core, it's a tale about a woman thrown into a bizarre and painful situation that is entirely out of her control. She's not an anomaly. She's your average human, nothing remarkable about her except for her knowledge of botany and the fact that she's from another Earth. She wants nothing more than to go home.

Additional Notes: Looking for some crit and a greenlight. I'm not using the clinical tone in the narrative, but it will be there in the article. If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask!
