SCP-XXXX-1.

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 must be stored separately in maximum security object lockers with electronic locks. Heavily armed guard personnel are to be posted in and around the containment chamber to prevent access to object except in authorized testing.

Due to it's possible uses as an espionage tool should it ever be employed against foundation assets and personnel, the object is to be guarded under maximum security at all times.

Description: SCP-XXXX is comprised of two separate objects: SCP-XXXX-1, a controller styled in a similar fashion to that of video game console "Playstation 4" made by the Sony corporation. Unlike normal controllers of that make, SCP-XXXX-1 is comprised mostly of organic material, and DNA analysis indicates the presence of Homo sapiens, Balanus nubilus (Giant acorn barnacle) and Octopus vulgaris (Common octopus) tissue. Several human eyes with blue irises appear in the joystick section of the controller and move frantically, sometimes staring at nearby living beings.

SCP-XXXX-2 is a USB-like device made of black plastic with a metallic connector. Unlike normal USB devices, it contains human nervous tissue inside the plastic casing, which can be taken apart and assembled again without incident.

The object's anomalous properties manifest once SCP-XXXX-2 is "plugged" into a human (henceforth designated SCP-XXXX-3) being at the base of the skull, where the spine ends. Plugging it anywhere else in the body will have no results, and testing on non-human animals also yielded no results. Pushing the object into flesh seems to displace it painlessly, but may cause bleeding, and will leave a rectangle-shaped hole once removed which may cause medical complications.

Once activated, SCP-XXXX-3 loses all cognitive ability, entering an apparent fugue state (MRI analysis concluded that the brain is effectively in a comatose-like state) and will remain in the position they were in until given commands by the wielder of SCP-XXXX-1. A narrow beam of radio pulses can be detected leaving SCP-XXXX-1 in the direction of SCP-XXXX-3, and any normal methods for interfering with radio signals seem to work with the object's effect just the same, inducing lag and interference.

The screen portion of SCP-XXXX-1 will change to show a third-person perspective of SCP-XXXX-3 situated behind and above the individual (although no object can be detected where this "camera" should be) and any commands given using the controller's left analog stick will be executed by the individual while the right analog stick controls the "camera" .

The X button causes SCP-XXXX to jump, the Square key causes them to attack with a variety of blows, the circle key causes them to roll in whatever direction the analog stick is currently being pointed toward and the triangle key is used to interact with objects (such as opening doors or picking up objects) and people. The left trigger is used to aim the camera in a first person perspective, useful for throwing objects or firing weapons. The right trigger will either throw the currently held object or fire a weapon.

If the triangle key is pressed when facing another human at close proximity a dialogue window will appear, displaying any words they speak as text. Below that window, several dialogue options - seemingly generated on the fly to accomodate the situation (see dialogue test logs below) - are displayed, and can be selected with directional buttons, and confirmed with X.

Pressing the "start" key opens up a menu on the screen portion, including the following options and their effects:

- Settings: Allows several "settings" about the affected human to be changed, including but not limited to age, gender, height, weight, body proportions and ethnicity.

- Save: Saves the current state of the human into one of 99 "save slots". See "load". Save slots appear to be saved "locally" in the individual through an unknown mechanism, therefore removing SCP-XXXX-2 and re-inserting it at a later date will retain previous save files.

- Load: Returns the human to a previous state from a "save slot". This appears to revert any changes taken since that save including but not limited to injury, death, settings changes, location.

- Media: Opens a secondary menu that allows access to the individual's memories, which are viewed as individual video files which can be sorted by date, relevancy and file size. They can also be deleted or exported to SCP-XXXX-2, which if plugged into a computer will display the files as .mp4.

- Shutdown: Instantly causes brain death in the affected individual and violently ejects SCP-XXXX-2.

Removing SCP-XXXX-2 from it's "port" will cause SCP-XXXX-3 to collapse into a coma, from which they'll wake up in 24 hours having no memory of the time they were under SCP-XXXX's effects.

Recovery Log: The object was initially discovered when Senior Researcher Contreras of Site-██ was reported to behave erratically, bumping into other personnel and not responding to queries. Security was eventually called and managed to contain the researcher, tackling him to the ground. Shortly after he began to spasm violently before SCP-XXXX-2 shot out of his neck, showering the security personnel with blood. Steam was reported to be coming out of both SCP-XXXX-2 and the hole on Senior Researcher Contreras's neck, and SCP-XXXX-2 was reported to be warm to the touch. The researcher was confirmed dead on the scene.

Following this, a full lockdown of Site-██ was declared and the facility was searched. An unknown deceased enemy operative was located in the site's ventilation shaft, equipped with military-grade communications gear, a suppressed handgun and SCP-XXXX-1. The coroner reported no identifying marks on the equipment, but the cause of death was identified as cyanide poisoning, possibly from a cyanide pill to prevent capture and intel extraction.
