Description: SCP-XXXX is a disposable paper cup with a thin wax coating. SCP-XXXX is a visual cognitohazard which exhibits the anomalous property of modifying the way the signal from the optical nerve is processed. Subjects describe dysphoria with the coloration of their surroundings immediately after exposure to SCP-XXXX, though this period is brief, typically lasting under a minute in length.
Thereafter subjects regain their full cognition. When prompted, subjects express lucid criticisms of their surroundings similar1 to what non-affected individuals express in experiment rooms which have had bright paints applied to the walls.
When SCP-XXXX is viewed directly this cognitohazardous effect is contagious, with a minimum transmission vector of direct skin-to-skin contact. Amnestics are effective at suppressing both variations of SCP-XXXX's cognitohazard.
