Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept alongside SCP-???? at Site-████ in a standard sized humanoid containment cell with walls made of a solid block of steel, apart from a single entrance to the chamber, accessed via a decontamination shower (capable of electrocution of contents upon detection of SCP-????-1) on both sides of the door, as it is currently being used to house SCP-???? As of ██/██/███. SCP-XXXX is to be kept on SCP-???? at all times outside of testing purposes. SCP-XXXX is under no circumstances to be taken off of SCP-????.
Description: SCP-XXXX’s main body a small hemiellipsoidal device measuring 3 cm in diameter and 0.5 centimeters in height. SCP-XXXX is metallic in structure with a singular gray button approximately 1.5 cm in diameter. The flat underside of SCP-XXXX appears to have a hexagonal pattern made of an orange-brown colored material that is extremely sticky and reportedly painful to remove when touched by any living creature of the kingdom animalia large enough to have SCP-XXXX attached to it. SCP-XXXX can also be applied to other SCPs, such as SCP-2019, SCP-1265-A, SCP-3660, and SCP-????. However it shows no such properties when touching anything inorganic, dead, or belonging to a kingdom other than animalia, such as fungi, or plantae. SCPs seemingly belonging to such kingdoms are similarly unaffected despite several demonstrating some level of cognitive function or even sentience, such as SCP-3171.
SCP-XXXX has three known phases that go as follows:
Phase 1: While SCP-XXXX is not in contact with an animal, it is inert and motionless. Until contact is made with such a creature, SCP-XXXX will remain in Phase 1.
Phase 2: When SCP-XXXX’s flat side comes into contact with a human, humanoid, animal, or animal-like creature, (See Addendum XXXX-Test 3) the gray button on SCP-XXXX turns to a blood red hue, and starts flashing. Removal of SCP-XXXX during phase 2 will leave six puncture wounds around the rim of where SCP-XXXX was placed, and cause severe to moderate pain akin to “duct tape being ripped from the skin, multiplied by five,” according to subjects.
Phase 3: When SCP-XXXX’s button is pressed during phase 2, the button will proceed to turn bright blue and SCP-XXXX will open for approximately 0.25 seconds. SCP-XXXX then expels a mass of material similar in texture to spandex which then proceeds to wrap around the wearer and fit them like a skin tight suit. the suit is seamless and has no apparent openings, rather flowing as one large sheet over the wearer’s body. Said suit is made of the same spandex like material and is identical in color to SCP-XXXX’s button during phase 3. Thes suit’s formation will not be inhibited by any deformities such as amputations or tumorous growths. The suit is reported as feeling comfortable but skin tight, however it provides roughly two centimeters of extra bulk to the wearer. Whilst wearing SCP-XXXX, the internal climate of the suit will match the wearer’s needs. Examples include filling with water for a giant moray, warming an ostrich egg, and filling with some form of water breathable by lungs for a blue whale.
Despite most of the suit being made of the spandex like material, every instance of SCP-XXXX being worn by a creature with eyes has resulted in a visor made of a clear, dense, glass-like structure spanning across the wearer’s line of sight. However no such material can be seen during the expulsion of the rest of the suit. Apart from the visor, the only other consistent feature is a green triangle “logo” with neon yellow lettering spelling out “ACS-Anomalous Containment Suit”. Whether the word ‘anomalous’ is referring to the suit itself or what it is meant to contain is as of yet up for debate.
SCP-XXXX’s most unusual property however, is manifested only during phase 3. Those wearing SCP-XXXX during phase 3 are completely impervious to any damage received by objects on the exterior of the suit. Even action such as being thrown against a wall or breaking their arm behind their back have no effect on the wearer. Any seemingly permanent injuries sustained during wear of SCP-XXXX feel to the wearer as just a normal body contortion and with relative ease can move anything such as broken limbs back into place. Wearers of SCP-XXXX also require no sustenance or oxygen for as long as they continue to wear SCP-XXXX, however once exiting the suit, those deprived of such amenities for longer than a normally comfortable amount of time are reportedly very thirsty and/or hungry, yet oxygen deprivation never seems to be an issue for wearers. Internal temperature is reportedly very pleasant by all wearers, even those preferring or requiring different temperatures than one another, leading researchers to believe the suit’s interior climate also changes to fit the user.
SCP-XXXX can only be deactivated and reverted to phase 1 by another creature fitting SCP-XXXX’s wearer requirements presses and holds SCP-XXXX’s button for five seconds, whereas SCP-XXXX’s suit will then be retracted back into the main body of SCP-XXXX and proceed to fall off the wearer. During none of the three stages is the main body of SCP-XXXX capable of being dismantled, however few attempts have been made to do so due to its bevy of uses to the foundation.
Upon close examination of test footage, SCP-XXXX opens for an instant before releasing the suit. When opening, SCP-XXXX’s top seperates from its bottom via the protrusion of a small rod in the epicenter on SCP-XXXX, though the method of storing and expelling the suit are still unknown as the suit usually is far more in volume and surface area than SCP-XXXX’s main body.
