Special Containment Procedures: SCP-9942 is to permanently reside at Armed Biological Containment Area-14, in a standard humanoid containment chamber fitted with 1980s era furniture and items. As for entertainment, SCP-6380's chamber is allowed a monthly rotation of it's own choice of 15 books. Free roam in the Light and Heavy Containment Zones is granted, however may not enter the Entrance Zone without an armed escort of at least 2 Security Guards. Said Security Guards are to be equipped with bolt cutters, and handgun caliber weaponry. During nighttime protocol, SCP-9942 must report to it’s containment chamber.

Description: SCP-9942 consists of two anomalous components: a humanoid entity (SCP-9942-A) and several ropes which summon from said entity at command (SCP-9942-B).

SCP-9942-A is a female Caucasian humanoid entity, standing at 1.70m and weighing 59.87kg with an average-athletic build. Mesomorph body type. Subject has jet black hair dropping to the lower back, emerald green eyes, fair skin, and glasses. Claims to originate from Albany, New York and be of British heritage. Also claims to be born on May 12th, 1992. Birth name is "Anna Thorn". SCP-9942-A is generally passive, being very social. Subject is an avid reader and enjoys things that come from or associate with the 1980s and below.

SCP-9942-A has the ability to manifest 4-6 ropes which protrude from her body, designated SCP-9942-B. SCP-9942-B seems to be fully controlled by SCP-9942-A. Main uses at the moment are for grabbing and handling objects, as well as greeting people via "high-five", and even self defense. The origin point of SCP-9942-B seems to come from both of SCP-9942-A's arms and from the back. Instances seem to manifest without any clear explanation or protrusion, leaving no trace when retracted. Testing results yielded that SCP-9942-B cannot be affected by wind and/or temperature. Despite this, SCP-9942-B is able to be mutilated and destroyed the same way a regular rope can. Though, SCP-9942-A can quickly replace said instance of SCP-9942-B with another.

SCP-9942-A was discovered by the Foundation after New York State Troopers received a call about a suicide attempt by hanging. When local police arrived at the suspected home, they found SCP-9942-A attempting to retract SCP-9942-B around it's neck. After police cut the rope, she was taken into custody for questioning. This is when the Foundation learned of SCP-9942-A, swiftly placing SCP-9942-A under their tutelage. After securing, SCP-9942-A has been permanently positioned at Armed Biological Containment Area-14.

SCP-9942-A is not to be sexually harassed by foundation personnel, whether it be a "dare" or simple temptation. Personnel who break this code will be harshly punished by the Ethics Committee. SCP-9942-A is also allowed to react in self defense. SCP-6380-2 is granted to protect SCP-9942-A under these circumstances and use lethal force if necessary.
