I waited for the forensics team to arrive. Another damn murder of a harmless Can Man. I swear, these redneck crazies are the worst to deal with. They think that just because a person is anomalous, they don't have the rights as a human being and are condemned by whatever god they believe in.

My name's Saint. I'm a Chassis, a robot used to have the minds of people downloaded into me, so they can live forever. Except that's not the case. Someone fucked up when they invented the Chassis and when they downloaded a mind into me, I turned into an AI human mishmash. Yeah, great right? But, I put my superhuman brain and body to use working for the UIU as Special Agent Saint.

"Saint. Director Thompson wants to see you," said Special Agent Wazowski. I nodded and asked, "what now?" Wazowski just shrugged. "Those fucked-up Fireworks again? They keep killing off all the Can Mans. Pretty soon there won't be anymore."

I put my metal hand on his shoulder, giving him a sly look with my eye. "You worried about not being able to charm all the ladies in the bars with your fascinating tales from work?" He just shrugged it off with a smile and said, "don't keep Thompson waiting." I nodded and walked over to Director Thompson.

As soon as Director Thompson saw me, he tossed a folder at me, and I caught it. "Twenty anomalous individuals have been reported missing in the last month. Now, normally we don't like to get too involved with Three Portlands citizens, but when that many of them go missing, we have to step in." He continued, "we're putting you on this case because you've lived in Three Portlands and know what it's like. We want to get this thing out of the way, otherwise, those poor suckers are gonna wind up in Foundation custody."

"Do we know who's taking them?"

"No, but we suspect someone is selling them off at auctions."

"Like slaves?"

"Yes, and like weapons."
