Description: SCP-16088 is a 2 meter by 2 meter wooden sandbox. Despite being an estimated 20 years of age, the wood has sustained little damage.
When a person enters SCP 16088 they will immediatly feel a tingling sensation all over their body. Soon after, the subject will feel a burning and itching sensation all over their body, similar to that of a fire ant bite. Within minutes, the subject will be consumed by an unknown substance.
When an item is placed in SCP 16088 the deteriation of the object depends on its strength.
Tests:
Subject 1: A live cricket was placed into SCP 16088. Died at 11 seconds. Fully consumed at 34 seconds.
Subject 5: A small, fresh, red apple was placed in SCP 16088. Fully consumed within 46 seconds.
Subject 47: A mouse was placed in SCP 16088. Death at 23 seconds, fully consumed at 1 minute, 23 seconds.
Subject 56: a 1 foot rectangular steel rod was placed in SCP 16088. Consumed at 3 hours 21 minutes 3 seconds.
