Containment Procedures: Chamber is to be furnished with a chair, filing cabinet, clock, water cooler and bin. Personnel entering must not bring any form of office supply excluding paper, folders and clipboards. No gum or pens are permitted in the chamber. Personnel must not remove any object from the room apart from paper and books when permitted.
Description:() is a unbranded polished oak desk 48 inches wide, 30 inches high and 24 inches deep.
() has three draws on its right side and a chewed piece of gum stuck underneath the leg area. it has one name finely carved on the right corner reading "Jamie".
Majority of personnel interacting with the desk have left the chamber unharmed. However a number of cadavers were discovered at an abandoned office complex in Kingston London UK, where the desk was first located by the foundation. Each with multiple deep lacerations carved in various sizes and angles reading "Jamie's Desk" into their tissue.
It is now known that this occurs only after the subject carves or writes their name into the desk which later fades away. It was first speculated by a subject named Jamie that the desk is acting in self defense to preserve itself from wear. Jamie stated "If I were a desk I wouldn't want anyone carving on me." Jamie was brought in to study the occurrences of the desk's interaction with a person with the same name as its previous owner. The D class subject by the name of Jamie was placed by the desk for a number of hours, Senior Researcher's hypothesis was the desk is usable by any person by the name of Jamie. However after the second test Jamie 1 placed used gum under the desk the subject was found deceased the next day.
The first witness to the discovery of the desk and sole survivor of the shipping company who were moving the office equipment was taken in my personel and interviewed on 3/4/2018 see interview A
The survivor made the statement that the first crew member missing had placed used gum onto the desk the night prior. After the survivors cooperation and termination, field personnel had discovered another cadaver at the address given who had asphyxiated on used chewing gum.
Subjects who have placed chewed gum underneath the desk have been found deceased in their beds the next day each of their orifices filled with old chewed gum. See Notes
Senior Researchers began to conduct tests to see if the desk would react to different objects placed inside. The subjects were instructed to place a number of educational books as well as a stock of paper, pencils and office supplies. After twelve (12) days the subjects were instructed to return the items for further examination. The researchers findings showed that math problems placed in the desk when retrieved were answered, sketches and images drawn by the subjects and placed in the desk were more refined and heightened in quality and passages of statements of historical events in the history book where changed given greater detail of the event. The subjects who had retrieved the office supplies had been inflicted with cuts on their chest reading a list of the office supplies that the subjects have taken from the desk. The office supplies had not been altered in any way and the subjects who had retrieved the educational books and paper were not injured in any way.
Senior Researchers interacted with the desk by writing a list of questions on a sheet of paper. The questions had been replaced with a number of different responses. Assuming the response was from the desk itself, senior researchers then began using this as a form of communication.
Interviewed: Bruce miles Laborer at Colton Shipping co
Interviewer: Doctor Simon Roland
Foreword: This interview was conducted after Bruce miles was taken in by the foundation after he had reported the incident to the local authorities it should be known to staff that Doctor Simon Roland was posing as a figure of authority during the interview.
Interviewer: Hello Mr miles, I believe you have something to discuss about recent events.
Person: You could bloody well say that.
Interviewer: Why don't you tell me from the beginning when you began the job, and we can go from there.
Person: Yeah, OK well it was like this, me and the boys go round packing up things the boss tells us, usually its for moving large scale equipment or if a company is moving headquarters we move all the office supplies for them stuff like that. Well, this time the boss came up said he got a call from some guy, to move six large containers in a abandoned office complex in Kingston, was told to ship them to up north somewhere I think.
Interviewer: Go on.
Person: Well it was an odd job to begin with but our policy is to not ask questions after a few years working for a small-time shipping company you get a few jobs like this, so we thought nothing of it, during our break we looked around the offices' nothing but smashed desks and chairs and writing on the walls looks like the place was vandalized quite a lot, well we found this room with one desk there among the wreckage of office supplies looked like brand new, Ricky was talking about taking it home with him but after a while he said it was more hassle then its worth, after that we start talking, and we had a few beers then went back to work.
Interviewer: So first day, on the job everything is fine, nothing unusual but the desk, interesting, did you notice anything odd about the desk at all?
Person: It was a desk, It said Jamie on the side, we sat by it, heck David sat on it, he put his gum on it you know like when you're a kid at school, we were talking about that I think
Interviewer: And did you ever get the name of the person who asked for the containers to be moved?
Person: No it was a more don't ask questions kind of job, look I knew it was seedy doing this but the boss needed a new job soon the company wasn't doing so good and I am sure he meant well but I guess that doesn't matter anymore.
Interviewer: why don't you continue to the next day what happened
Person: Right, so we came back the next day move two more of the containers only David didn't show, which pissed me off he was the only one that didn't drink the day before, so he had no excuse, couldn't get hold of him at all but yeah we continued having the usual trouble getting the equipment up to the floor then we had a break, Joey had a stupid idea of carving all our names into that fancy desk since he was leaving for uni soon anyway was a sentimental thing we're a close team, (pause) were a close team. I didn't do it cuz I don't write so good so joey he carved my name on there for me, we have a couple beers and begin bringing down the containers and that's when it happens.
Interviewer: when what happened Mr miles
Person: Joey he let go of the container I thought he did his back in or something we were all holding it but without him to help we lost balance it fell down two stories of stairs before crashing on a lower floor, I asked joey if he was alright, and he said he thought he scratched his back bad on something really hurt, I told him to go to the van but before he got there we saw what was in the containers, Pills Lots of pills and definitely not the legal kind
Interviewer: So there were drugs in the containers you say
Person: Well yeah why else would this Jamie guy had killed them, we packed back it up but I am pretty sure joey being the little shit that he is probably took a bag or two of them, and then we shipped them up on the truck, and then we all decided not to talk about what we saw, and we went home, next day well you saw it.
Interviewer: Can you state for the record what you saw the next day
Person: The next day (pause) I found the rest of my team dead, they all had cuts all over them written in them again and again were the words "Jamie's desk" Look please just find this Jamie guy I don't know if he was in the building or had been watching us the whole time, but he definitely was angry about the joey taking them drugs and fucking up his desk
Interviewer: What makes you think this "Jamie" is to blame
Person: Well it's the only thing that makes sense please find him, find him make him see reason, he, he needs to be found
Interviewer: hmm interesting, thank you Mr miles that will be all, now if you would kindly follow these two men they will escort you to (cough) the exit
Closing Statement: After the interview Bruce Miles was terminated by foundation staff due to possible prolonged exposure to scp() it is unknown at this time if scp() has any mimetic effects on people in close proximity to it.
