Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to have at least 5 MTF agents available from Mobile Task Force Mu-4 “Debuggers” at any given time. This is so proper containment procedures can be taken place without the public becoming aware. Mu-4 is to keep watch over the transmitter 24 hours a day to insure that the transmitter does not stop operating, and if it does, to evacuate and alert all other Mobile Task Forces and Foundation Personnel at the neighboring containment area. Task Force Mu-4 are to activate the noise blankers in the SCP’s CZ each evening at 18:00 hours local time and 23:00 hours local time. This is so the radio signals do not reach public radio listeners on shortwave frequencies. (NOTE: Mu-4 operatives rotate the noise blankers frequently, and the times given are the recommended procedures.) During testing, Task Force Mu-4 should be on stand-by for immediate termination of the Class-D personnel if SCP-XXXX-1 emerges.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a large radio transmitter located on Auxiliary Area - ██ in [REDACTED], Russia. The radio transmitter is 10 x 14 meters in length and is connected to a coaxial cable which leads to the top of the facility, which then leads to a 60 meter antenna mast. On the radio transmitter, “████” is written in Cyrillic script with the radio transmitter manufacturing details. The radio transmitter is made of solid aluminum casing, which when opened up reveals several regular-looking radio parts (resistors, tubes, crystal oscillators). The internal components of SCP-XXXX are linked to several anomalous locations yet to be located. All attempts to locate these anomalous locations have proven futile. According to a document found at the site of the radio transmitter by Agent ████████, SCP-XXXX was created by GRU Division “P”. The rest of the document was lost due to a data breach recorded in the Records and Information Security Administration.
Testing done on SCP-XXXX has concluded that when the signal is broadcasted and listened to, it causes an unknown neurofunction to occur, causing the individual to experience fierce hallucinations, seizures, and eventually death. In some cases, the individual is taken under control by SCP-XXXX-1, who wants to try and gather information about the Foundation and its purpose. It has been responsible for several data breaches in the Records and Information Security Administration. Testing is limited to only senior research personnel for possible data breaches.
All testing information has been classified by the order of O5-██.
Addendums:
Addendum 10/██/██: The signals have gotten more tolerable, according to recent testing. Further testing is expected over the next few months.
Addendum 06/██/██: By orders of the O5 Council, SCP-XXXX is being given Euclid classification due to its anomalous properties.
Addendum 05/██/██: By orders of the O5 Council, SCP-XXXX is being given Safe classification, as the SCP does not appear to have anomalous properties.
SCP-XXXX-1: Currently contained in a Class-D.
█████: [REDACTED] Mu-4 Operative
Foreword: In the following interview, SCP-XXXX-1 hesitates to give answers to the Operative's questions.
<Begin Log>
█████: Now, why do you care so much about the Foundation?
SCP-XXXX-1: Well, you've successfully contained me in a fucking Class-D. And, that's all you need to know.
█████: Let me rephrase, why have you tried to breach data in the Foundation?
SCP-XXXX-1: Alright fine… I have a purpose. For the fulfillment of my creators.
█████: Who are your creators? What do they want from the Foundation?
SCP-XXXX-1: Why the hell should I tell you? All I will say to you is: I have a purpose it will come in the fullness of time.
█████: Fair enough. I've gotten all the information I need. This interview is over.
<End Log>
Closing Statement: From █████: The interview was successful, and at least I was able to get some information about SCP-XXXX-1. Hopefully with this information, our scientists will be able to comprehend (because I sure can't) what all of it means in correlation to SCP-XXXX.
The Mu-4 operative was found dead while on patrol near the radio site 4 days later. An investigation was done, but the information was lost in the Records and Information and Security Administration due to an unknown data glitch. An investigation into the glitch concluded nothing of use. The Internal Security Department has officially begun a separate internal security investigation. -O5-██
"Computer?" [BEEP BEEP]
"Start Overseer Log."
"Affirmative. Log begin."
[Long pause, and a sigh of relief]
"Today has been an unusually long and tiring day. I've been working on training my new Interns in the Engineering and Technical Services Department and I was cordially invited to watch an MTF training. It was quite interesting I must admit. However I really wasn't interested. As an O5 Council member, it can get very boring just watching trainings or watching tests."
[Long pause, keyboard clicks]
"Continuing on… I'm proud of my department. I'm proud of its achievements, its goals, its trials, its tribulations. I thank O5-1 for my promotion every day to Overseer. That's why, I know that this Foundation will succeed. In its mission to Secure, to Contain, and to Protect. I don't make logs every day, just the days I know I'm going to die. Days filled with horror and bloodshed. We had a raid today from a GoI. Hell, I don't even know who. We evacuated everyone and a lot of people were shot along the way. I stood there in horror as I watched my Rapid Response Team operative die in front of me. Helpless, I tried to call for help, anyone at all, an Alpha 1 operative or someone. Maybe I should just resign. Give myself to 682 and call it a day. But then I realize I'm blessed with my department. "
"Oh God, HELP ME!"
[Long pause and clinking inside a desk; gunshot goes off]
[BEEP BEEP]
"Overextended time period, log deactivated."
