Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX is to be held in a standard humanoid containment cell at site ██. SCP-XXXX is permitted access to the Level-3 faculty sections of site ██, but should be returned to containment after a roaming period of 2 hours SCP-XXXX may roam the facility as often as desired, but should be contained immediately in the case of an A-XXXX or B-XXXX Event (See Event Log A-XXXX-1). Any staff affected by an A-XXXX Event are to be faced away from SCP-XXXX for a period of time no less than 4 hours or until all symptoms subside and local reality re-stabilizes. Upon end of A-4031 Event, affected individuals are to be put on leave for a period of time dictated by the site director, after which personnel may return to regular activities under increased supervision of site security and medical staff.

In case of a B-XXXX Event (See Incident Report B-XXXX-1), SCP-XXXX is to be placed in a mobile containment cell and transported no less than 2 Kilometers from human contact until event ends and local reality re-stabilizes. B-XXXX Events commonly last between 8 and ██ hours before conclusion. Any personnel affected by a B-XXXX Event should be presumed deceased.

Description:
SCP-XXXX resembles a 22 year old Caucasian male of average build and has a weight of 78 Kilograms and height of 1.76 meters. SCP-XXXX has the anomalous ability to appear to be in front of any object within a 200 meter range regardless of location. SCP-XXXX’s anomalous properties allow the entity to be seen seemingly “through walls”, overlapping any non-opaque solid material between SCP-XXXX and any observer within effective range of SCP-XXXX. This property has been likened to “Using the ‘Bring To Front’ feature on a human being” by multiple personnel. This effect does not apply to sounds created by SCP-XXXX.

SCP-XXXX was brought to foundation attention after sensors at site ██ recorded a massive release of electromagnetic energy emanating from the ██████ College of Science and Technology. SCP-XXXX was spotted by local authorities and was described as “A guy running across the walls”. Foundation personnel quickly found and contained SCP-XXXX, transporting the entity to site ██ via aerial transportation. Witnesses to SCP-XXXX were given cover story “Fraternity” or treated with Class-C Amnestics (See Event Summary A-XXXX-0).

Psychological analysis and interviews with SCP-XXXX (See Interview Log XXXX-1) have shown that SCP-XXXX, while anomalous to outside viewers, does not possess any known anomalous abilities nor does it have any control over its primary anomalous property. SCP-XXXX has also proven to have a heightened intelligence compared to the average individual, but this has proven to be caused by regular study and research done by SCP-XXXX prior to Event A-XXXX-0 (See Event Summary A-XXXX-0).
Due to the extensive scientific knowledge possessed by SCP-XXXX, it has been suggested that SCP-XXXX be allowed to aid site researchers by completing complex grunt work.

Dr. Michael: Hello, I am Doctor Michael ██████.

SCP-XXXX: Mark █████, how do you do?

Dr. Michael: Very well, thank you. Could you tell me how you came to possess your Anomalous properties?

SCP-XXXX: Right to the point? Well, I had been working on a project with a friend of mine, Liz, for quite a while. It was supposed to be a form of X-Ray technology that was, safer, cheaper, and more efficient than anything on the market. Unfortunately, it appears that there was an… incident… basically the thing blew up. We were using ████████ particles purified from high-intensity X-Ray radiation using carbon crystals and ███████. The process was supposed to convert the radiation into a form of energy completely harmless to living tissue while also using a hundredth of the energy and still producing a crystal-clear image.

Dr. Michael: I see, very interesting use of ████████ particles, I’d like to further discuss your system at a future date. For now, you mentioned a Liz character? Could you tell me more about this person?

[SCP-XXXX is silent for several seconds before continuing]

SCP-XXXX: Eliza Macbeth. She was a close friend of mine - friends since childhood in fact. She was the mastermind behind the project, I was just the logistic and electrical guy. At least until she was killed. We’d been researching a place to source some of our more expensive materials like the crystals and ██████ extruder and eventually we got in contact with the owner of a big tech company. He offered to show us around the place and talk business but the day before our visit we ran into a complication with the system. And so I stayed back to fix the damned thing while she went on the tour…

[SCP-XXXX is now visibly distressed and speaking heavily]

Dr. Michael: I can tell that you’re uncomfortable talking about this topic. The quicker you finish your statement the quicker we can move on to another topic.

SCP-XXXX: I’m sorry… It’s just hard to think about it… One minute she’s telling me not to knock the distiller over again while she’s gone and then the next minute she’s flattened under a 100 ton crucible of god-damn molten lead!

[SCP-XXXX begins sobbing, head down on the desk]

Dr. Michael: Thank you, Mr. ██████, and I’m sorry for your loss, but we…

SCP-XXXX: I know you’re just acting like you care to get me to share what I know. At this point I have nothing to hide, just ask your bullshit questions so I can go back to my bleached prison cell.

Dr. Michael: You are only being kept here for your own safety, I’m sure you can understand that. Now, can you tell me more about this “Project” and how it relates to your current situation?

[SCP-XXXX is silent for several seconds, unmoving]

Dr. Michael: I understand you have been through a lot, but I can’t help you unless you answer my questions. Can you “Please” tell me more about your project and how it caused your anomalous properties.

SCP-XXXX: … Alright. After Eliza… Passed… I had to take on the project alone. Without her there it felt impossible, I couldn’t understand half of the components. She wrote most of the notes and I could barely understand half of the phrases she used. I just didn’t… I didn’t know what to do. I spent countless days working on this thing with little to no sleep between, I was basically living off of caffeine. I was ready to give up. But then I found something, a page hidden between pages in one of Liz’s notebooks. It described a component to stabilize and amplify the ████████ particles, and it was the last thing I needed to get that son of a bitch working.

Dr. Michael: So did it work? Did you ever get the machine working properly?

SCP-XXXX: I guess I did, but not as I’d expected apparently. When I finally got the thing assembled I was so desperate, what with a major lack of funding and sleep, I just threw the thing into the system and turned the bastard on. What follows is fuzzy, mostly just bright lights and science shrapnel flying through the air, and it’s about then that you found me.

Dr. Michael: When we attempted to recover what we could from the area of incident we found little more than a massive scorched hole and some illegible burnt notebooks. Is it safe to assume that your notes on the project were primarily physical?

SCP-XXXX: If you’re asking if there’s any schematics stored in a secret compartment somewhere, you’ll be disappointed. But if you’re asking if I could rebuild the machine from memory, then… maybe… but it’d take a while and I’d need a lot of materials. And even so…

Dr. Michael: But could you do it?

SCP-XXXX: Look, you’ve had me here for, what, a month? I’ve had a whole lot of time to think, and I’m pretty sure the only chance I have at fixing this shit is with that machine. So yeah, I’d be willing to try.

Dr. Michael: I’ll send a request to the administration. For now, you may return to your cell.

As of the writing of this document, three incidents connected to SCP-XXXX have been witnessed and recorded by facility staff, two of which have resulted in casualties, but neither of which were intentional.

 

It was an accident, I had no control. So many people dead because of me, and there is nothing i can do about it. Why do they still let me wander, why am i even allowed alive? I had to demand they change my rating to Euclid only because they wouldn't mark me Keter. I killed so many people, why are they being so nice to me?

Event Summary A-XXXX-0:

Location: ██████ College of Science and Technology, ███████ ████
Date: September ██, 20██

Description:
Anomalous activity reported by local authorities, confirmed by nearby facility agents. Recovery and Suppression teams dispatched, teams arrived 15 minutes after incident. By this time, facility agents had quarantined the area and apprehended the anomalous entity with little resistance. Anomalous entity - later designated SCP-XXXX - was transported via aerial transport to site ██ for containment. Witnesses to Event A-XXXX-0 were treated with Class C Amnestics and were given cover story “Fraternity” to prevent media leakage during clean-up period.
No casualties were reported during event A-XXXX-0.
Three casualty was recorded related to Event A-XXXX-0. Witnesses to the casualty were treated with Class C Amnestics.
Cover story “Fraternity” replaced with cover story “Columbine” for the remainder of the clean-up period.

Note:
After SCP-XXXX was allowed roaming privileges, a secondary anomalous property was discovered affecting any subject that witnesses the primary anomalous property of SCP-XXXX for more than 45 minutes in a given period. Subjects that witness the effect of SCP-XXXX for an extended period of time begin experience a mental disconnection from reality. If subject continues to be exposed to SCP-XXXX’s effect, local reality around the subject will begin to morph as the subject begins to “merge with the background”. Affected subject will become visually distorted until such time as they are no longer affected by SCP-XXXX.

During testing of SCP-XXXX’s effective range, Dr. Manuel reported feeling “ill” but continued testing.
After roughly 15 minutes, Dr. Manuel claimed to feel “like he was being pulled from reality”. Upon investigation of Researcher Miller and Researcher Chris both claimed that the reality around Dr. Manuel seemed distorted. Researcher Chris stated that Dr. Manuel “Looked more like he was an image on the wall than a man in a chair”. Dr. Manuel was removed from the testing chamber and sent to the medical wing for treatment.
After roughly 30 minutes, Researcher Chris claimed to be feeling “Torn from his own body” before Researcher Miller stated that reality around Researcher Chris had begun to morph similar to how it had around Dr. Manuel. The danger was assumed to be linked to prolonged viewing of SCP-XXXX’s effect. Further testing has confirmed this theory.

Incident Report B-XXXX-1:

Location: Site ██
Date: December ██, 20██

During efforts to recreate the machine described by SCP-XXXX [Recorded as SCP-XXXX-M], personnel within SCP-XXXX’s effective range complained of eye pain and nausea. As personnel within unobstructed visibility of SCP-XXXX are unaffected by the danger of prolonged viewing of the entity, research staff viewing and assisting SCP-XXXX in its recreation efforts were not made aware of this change until security personnel began reporting multiple rapid warps in reality occurring throughout the facility. Protocol for A-XXXX Events were attempted but ineffective as all personnel within SCP-XXXX’s effective range began experiencing the same effect regardless of visual connection with SCP-XXXX. Affected individuals stated that they could “See it everywhere” with one researcher stating “It’s like the image can find my eyes wherever I hide them” before radio contact with the rest of the facility ceased completely.
Shortly after the conclusion of the incident, MTF units were dispatched to re-contain the facility. An estimated 130 casualties were recorded including 58 Class D Personnel, ██ Senior researchers, ██ ██████████, and ██ SCP entities - all of which were humanoid and sentient.

Researchers Note:
It was discovered that a significantly large solar flare had been recorded and the energy released made contact with Earth at the same time that incident B-XXXX-1 had begun. If these two events are directly connected, it is likely that another such incident will not be possible for another 20-300 years, but other reasons for the initiation of this incident should not be factored out. SCP-XXXX claims to have had no involvement with the initiation of this incident, so it was likely involuntary.

Addendum XXXX-01: After inspection of SCP-XXXX and attitude of facility staff towards SCP-XXXX, it has been theorized that SCP-XXXX may present a mild cognitohazard causing sentient entities to be more likely to accept and trust any statements made by SCP-XXXX. Research team ████████ has shown to be immune to this effect and have stated their concerns of SCP-XXXX’s privileges in the facility.

 

There have been a total of 7 B-XXXX Incidents, why are they not listed? This SCP is violently dangerous and should be kept far away from human civilization. 2,530 casualties have been reported to date and almost all of them have been disregarded almost as if you want these people to die. If nobody else is going to do something about this threat then we will have to do it ourselves.

Addendum XXXX-02: Research team ████████ has been terminated following violent actions towards SCP-XXXX after entity was allowed continued use of facility privileges regardless of events caused by Incident B-XXXX-1. Any further violent actions directed towards SCP-XXXX will be met with lethal force.

 

You killed them. they were the only ones that could actually understand the danger of the situation and they're gone. Now I'm left with only one choice; I have to continue. I have to finish the machine and hope it fixes this. Until then, I guess people will just have to keep dying.

Addendum XXXX-03: Please stop pretending none of this is happening. I’ve killed people, why are you being so freely lenient? Change my class, lock me away, for the love of god protect these people before I kill them all I’m begging you.
SCP-XXXX has had their access to facility documents barred indefinitely. SCP-XXXX may still use roaming privileges and should be encouraged to do so, especially if SCP-XXXX does not wish to.

 

We will be together again soon my love. Once you finish the machine I will return and we will be together forever, I promise, but you must continue collecting, for me. I do not wish to return without a body ready to hold me.
