Description: SCP-XXXX is a helmet constructed for the Vietnam War for American infantry, with writing carved into the side stating, “Born free”. The helmet is equipped with cigarettes on the side, with seven out of the eight cigarettes missing. Upon wearing the helmet, the user will temporarily forget their past experiences and will instead believe they are in Vietnam. The situation is always different, but when asked their name the afflicted person will consistently respond with, “James”. The scenario for each afflicted person experiences when wearing the helmet is always described as a traumatic experience such as a helicopter crash or a prisoner of war camp.
