Special Containment Procedures: The region containing SCP-XXXX is designated as an animal preserve. Its entrance has been sealed with a steel hatch; three guards are assigned to monitor it and restrict access to Foundation personnel. Instances of SCP-XXXX-2 found outside SCP-XXXX are to be terminated immediately.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a cave located within the Wind Cave National Park in South Dakota, United States. The interior of SCP-XXXX is approximately 10km long and ranges from 3 to 32m in height and 5 to 24m in width. Analysis of limestone and sandstone previously located within the cave has confirmed that SCP-XXXX originates from the Cenozoic era.
An open area approximately 500m into SCP-XXXX (designated SCP-XXXX-1) has large biological growths protruding out of its walls. The width of the growths varies from 1 to 25m. Research indicates that the materials appear to function as a vascular system for a liquid visually and physically similar to blood1. Subjects have observed several biological structures which appear to resemble human organs and body parts. Subjects unanimously report a feeling of being watched while inside SCP-XXXX-1 despite no evidence of the anomaly nor its instances possessing optical organs.
Periodically, white, spherical, single-celled organisms 2.5 meters in height which display significant resistance to damage will appear in SCP-XXXX (designated SCP-XXXX-2).2. SCP-XXXX-2 is able to move using hundreds of thorn-like appendages on its body which it uses to roll itself, reaching up to 12.5/kph. SCP-XXXX-2 is aggressive towards any sentient carbon-based organisms in proximity to SCP-XXXX3, and is capable of incapacitating an organism via anomalous absorption of the foreign body mass into its own; effects on the organism following this point are unknown. (See Addendum XXXX.2 for more details).
Discovery: SCP-XXXX was discovered on 12/09/1973 after several reports of missing speleologists who were last seen before entering the cave system. Local police and researchers were sent to explore the area, causing six disappearances. The Foundation was subsequently notified of SCP-XXXX; Class-C amnestics were administered to employees of the Wind Cave National Park and the event was disguised as a coyote attack. This event is referred to in records as Event XXXX-1.

imagine like, there's this hole, and it's too small to fit down, but there's something in there, like alive or something, right — and the foundation sends a d-class or whatever to investigate — we have an audio log
21:45 Hippo and at some point the d-class's audio log gets all fucked up and all you hear are squishing and creaking sounds then static; when they investigate, it's implied the d-class went down into the hole (despite it being too small)
21:47 Hippo bones sliding and cracking, popping, joints slipping out of place, bodies folding like shirts to squeeze in
21:48 br2 Enigma of Amigara Fault?
21:48 Hippo kind of, yeah; you don't see where they come out but you see where they went in and you know what they must have done to get in there
21:49 Hippo gotta go do stuff at work, regardless; good luck with the article!
