Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4367 is to be wrapped in at least a 2-inch-thick layer of airtight plastic wrap to prevent any physical contact with SCP-4367. It is then to be stored within a 10mx6m locked container disguised as a motel room, in the event of these conditions not being met, SCP-4367 will teleport to the nearest available motel room and replace the original bed. The container must be only accessible to personnel of clearance level 3 and above. SCP-4367 is to be monitored at all times with an infrared camera placed in the north-east corner of the container.

Description: SCP-4367 is an old, dirty-white coloured, floral patterned single-bed-mattress discovered in a motel within the [REDACTED] area of Northern Europe. The mattress was discovered in a simple oak bed frame and equipped with standard blue duvet covers. This appears to be the preferred appearance of SCP-4367, as any attempts of replacing or removing the frame and/or duvet have resulted in the old set returning within a time frame of 10 minutes. All attempts to damage SCP-4367 have resulted in regeneration of the damage within the same time frame. The regenerated parts of SCP-4367 maintain their effects on the subject.

Upon physical contact with SCP-4367 or another object in immediate physical contact with SCP-4367, the subject will immediately feel drowsy and nauseous, feeling a sudden urge to lay down in SCP-4367, this phenomena occurs regardless of the subject’s current status and subjects who were tired before testing showed the same symptoms as ones who were well energized moments prior to the encounter. If the subject is stopped from laying down in SCP-4367 by a third party, the subject will cease their attempts to lay down and return to their senses.

Subjects who lay down in SCP-4367 will promptly fall into a comatose state for as long as direct physical contact with SCP-4367 is maintained. The subject appears to be dreaming while in this state. In the circumstance that two subjects make physical contact with SCP-4367 simultaneously, they will lay down together and experience what appears to be a shared dream. The dream has been reported to be euphoric and awakening in nature. Both subjects have full, detailed recollections of their shared dreams after removal from SCP-4367. This leads researchers to theorise that subjects are not dreaming but are in some form of pocket dimension which SCP-4367 creates based on the subject’s preferences. Upon being removed from SCP-4367, the subject will wake up in an agitated manner and immediately seek out SCP-4367, attempting to return to it as quickly as possible.

Any attempts to stop a subject from reaching SCP-4367 have resulted in the subject breaking out into a maniacal rage, proceeding to severely injure or kill all high-class personnel in the way of SCP-4367. Failed attempts to reach SCP-4367 by the subject are followed by undistinguishable mumbling and sudden sharp screams from the subject. Following this, the subject will proceed to continuously bash their head against the nearest, hardest surface, continuing the process regardless of sustaining undoubtedly fatal head injuries, subjects usually continue until the █████ is entirely ████████.

Prolonged stay in SCP-4367 results in the subject’s muscle tissue decaying at rapid speeds, the fastest recorded complete muscle decay as a result of contact with SCP-4367 took 14 days. Skin and bones of the subject are not affected in this process. Within a period of 24 hours following the total muscle decay of a subject, SCP-4367 seems to absorb the remains of the subject into itself, leaving no trace of the subject behind. This process has never been recorded or witnessed by any personnel, and only recorded evidence of this event are the infrared readings after a disappearance of a subject, as SCP-4367 appears to radiate heat after it has absorbed its victim for as long as 5 hours after consumption.

This process does not seem to be necessary for SCP-4367 in any way, and thus far appears to be only of malicious nature. SCP-4367 has only been recorded affecting human subjects.
