Special Containment Procedures: Five instances of SCP-XXXX are to be contained in a standard containment locker in low-threat moderate-threat anomalous storage at Site-16. Under no circumstance are any instances to be removed outside of testing. Additional instances recovered in the field are to be destroyed. Female personnel who believe they have been exposed to SCP-XXXX are to report immediately to Site medical. Class A Amnestics are to be administered, and the affected are to be released to their duties under a period of observation.

An instance of SCP-XXXX, recovered following a raid conducted by MTF Psi-21 in ██████, Missouri. (looking for a new image. bear with me)

Should signs of anomalous effect persist, or if the 48-hour 'Point of no Return' has been exceeded, the subject is to be redesignated SCP-XXXX-A, and interned onsite. Site-16's humanoid containment wing has been expanded for this purpose. Instances are to be provided with standard amenities, along with a small package of beauty products of their choosing for good behavior. Site Security has been instructed to ensure instances of SCP-XXXX-A do not become violent. Guards are to use strictly non-lethal means to break up altercations, unless these incidents directly threaten the lives of Site personnel. Group therapy sessions are to be held on a weekly basis to ensure the mental stability of SCP-XXXX-A instances.

Following [REDACTED]¹, Head Researcher Gallagher has shifted research efforts to reversing SCP-XXXX's effects. As interactions with the support email found on the back of instances of SCP-XXXX have proven fruitless, resources have been allocated to find, and question individuals who may be directly involved with SCP-XXXX. Operational authority has been granted to MTF Chi-24 "Girl Power" MTF Psi-21 "Cyril"².

Following several raids conducted by MTF Chi-24, and later Psi-21, connections to GoI-2808³ have been discovered. In light of this, existing Foundation Webcrawlers have been instructed to screen for new activity on the group's website pertaining to SCP-XXXX. 911 calls and welfare checks suspected to involve SCP-XXXX are to be intercepted, and deferred to MTF Psi-21 for response.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a handheld mirror, made of resin and glass, measuring 25 cm in length, and 10 cm in width, with a mirror area measuring 10x12 cm. Instances of SCP-XXXX discovered in circulation are typically pastel pink in color, with Victorian-esque designs adorning the handle and rim. Ostensibly, instances of SCP-XXXX come as part of makeup 'care-packages' created by PoI-7899⁴. Testing has revealed that the beauty products found in these care packages are not anomalous.

SCP-XXXX exhibits a powerful cognitohazard, which is triggered when the user perceives their reflection in the mirror. This cognitohazard appears to affect women in a different, more drastic way than men, suggesting that the object's intended target is the former.

Female subjects that are affected by SCP-XXXX begin to express strong feelings of dissatisfaction, disgust, or even hatred for their self appearance. The subject then begins to make every attempt to 'rectify' this issue, often through making drastic changes to their appearance and sense of fashion, often to be more in line with a more stereotypically female style. This includes, but is not limited to:

• A sudden, often large investment in women's beauty products.
• Heavy application of said products.
• A fixation on stereotypically feminine clothing articles. This includes dresses, skirts, pink clothing, etc.
• A further fixation on attempting to impress and win over a man with their looks.

Male subjects exposed to SCP-XXXX exhibit very mild signs of affliction, if any. 53% of males exposed to SCP-XXXX voiced mild discomfort or disgust for their reflection in the mirror, which faded quickly upon exiting the test chamber.⁵ The remaining 47% showed no change in behavior.

The extent of SCP-XXXX's effects appear to vary from person to person. Individuals who are more content with their self-image may be slower to affect, though this is unconfirmed. Individuals who exhibit existing self image issues seem to be more susceptible, with initial testing showing immediate, drastic changes.

Though relatively minor at first, the effects of SCP-XXXX appear to worsen over time. Within 48 hours, the subject may begin to experience the following:

• Signs of Major Depressive Disorder
• Heightened self-loathing
• Anxiety, generally with regards to their appearance and whether those close to them will think less of them because of it
• A focus on their self appearance at the expense of all else, such as hobbies, obligations, and family
• Isolation from the outside world until they have 'perfected' their appearance. This is typically characterized by stereotypically feminine qualities such as pink clothing, makeup, etc
• Violent outbursts if friends, family or otherwise try to interfere

Following a period of 48 hours, the effects of SCP-XXXX appear to become irreversible. Class A amnestics, currently the best treatment for SCP-XXXX, have no effect after this time. The exact reason for this is currently unknown. Following this point, individuals affected by SCP-XXXX are redesignated SCP-XXXX-A.

Instances of SCP-XXXX-A are prone to violent mood swings. This appears to be a direct result of exposure to SCP-XXXX's effects. Instances have been reported to be cooperative and docile at one moment during an interview, before suddenly exploding at the interviewer's questions.

The Pittsburgh Police Department alone has received a number of reports suspected to involve SCP-XXXX before it was brought to the Foundation's attention. At the time of writing, at least seven homicides have been reported, and at least ten hospitalizations.

Discovery: The first instance of SCP-XXXX was recovered in Portland, Oregon, following the hospitalization of the Pierce family. According to seized police reports, the Pierce's 14 year old daughter, Naomi, attacked her mother with a pair of scissors during an altercation, then turned on her father and brother when they tried to intervene. The rest of the Pierce family was hospitalized, while Naomi was brought into police custody.

Initial investigations show that baseline reality in Naomi's room had been altered in a manner fitting SCP-4319's reality bending properties. Changes included: Pink walls, decor, and other stereotypically feminine effects, such as heart shaped pillows and pink dresses.

The Foundation expedited a response after several police officers and investigators were compromised by SCP-XXXX's cognitohazardous effects. The resulting shootout between affected and non-affected officers killed four, with another eight wounded.

Naomi was transferred to Foundation custody, while her family and the first responders were amnectisized, with the cover story of a home invasion and an unrelated shooting respectively.

INTERVIEW LOG XXXX-1/LEVEL 3 CREDENTIALS REQUIRED

Interviewed: ██████ Pierce

Foreword: Agent Anita Mendez, a Foundation operative embedded with the Portland Police Bureau interviewed ██████ Pierce, the father of the first instance of SCP-XXXX-A following the incident. Mr. Pierce's wife and son were in critical, but stable condition.

Agent Mendez: Mr. Pearce? I'm Detective Mendez. I trust you're feeling well?

██████ Pierce: Oh, as good as I can be, I suppose, considering what happened. What about my wife and son? Are they alright?

Agent Mendez: Your wife and son are still unconscious, but the doctors say they're stable.

██████ Pierce: Ah, well, it's good to know they're not dead…

Mendez hums her agreement. The sound of a chair being pulled is heard.

Agent Mendez: On that note, I was hoping you could answer some questions. Help us fill in the blanks about the incident, if you will.

A heavy sigh is heard from Pierce.

██████ Pierce: Ah, so this is about my daughter, then.

Agent Mendez: Yes. I know it may be painful, but anything you tell me can help my team get to the bottom of this investigation.

██████ Pierce: Well, it started about, oh… three months ago. Naomi never was a stickler for her apperance. She never went too heavy on makeup, wasn't much for brands. She liked to read, play video games, Badminton, and stuff like that. You know, nothing one would consider as overly girly.

Agent Mendez: And then she suddenly started to?

██████ Pierce: Yes. Strange things started happening after she found this website. It was called… Just Girly Things, I think. She got really pulled into it, started doing things she never really showed interest in before. It was like she had just changed overnight. She started acting like one of those girly girls you see in a bad Romantic Comedy. Then she replaced all the furniture in her room with pink stuff, repainted the walls pink. Well, I say she did that, but it seemed to happen overnight.

Agent Mendez: I see… Please, continue.

██████ Pierce: Well, after a couple weeks, I couldn't even recognize Naomi anymore. Her friends started getting worried, then she attacked one of them and got suspended. The Principal told me she called her friends 'fake women' or something like that.

Agent Mendez: Has Naomi done anything like this in the past?

██████ Pierce: No, she was a model student. She did well in school, everyone loved her. She didn't take shit from anyone, but she wouldn't hurt a fly. Anyway, things only got worse after she got the mirror.

Agent Mendez: The mirror? You mean the one we found on her desk?

██████ Pierce: That's the one. We got it in the mail with a box of makeup a few days ago. Not long after Naomi looked into the mirror, she really doubled down on the whole appearance thing. She started buying more makeup, ignoring me, her mom, and her brother. She said she wouldn't come out of her room until she looked absolutely perfect for her man. I don't think she's ever had a boyfriend, though. God, it was like something just possessed her, you know?

Agent Mendez: I assume this is the point where Naomi became violent?

██████ Pierce: Yes. After a couple days, her mom decided that enough was enough, and she marched up to her room and said that this little 'phase' was over. Naomi didn't like that. I could hear them screaming from downstairs, then I heard my wife scream. When I came upstairs, Naomi had taken a pair of scissors, and…

Agent Mendez: It's alright, Mr. Pierce. You don't need to tell me.

██████ Pierce: Thank you… I'm sorry I couldn't be of much more help.

Agent Mendez: No, no, you've been a great help. I think what you've told me will help us get to the bottom of this whole thing. Your daughter will be held in a mental institution, until such time we have deemed she is mentally fit to return.

Agent Mendez: Anyway, I won't keep you any longer. Get some rest, Mr. Pierce. Thank you for your cooperation.

██████ Pierce: You're welcome. Oh, and uh… before you go. Could you promise me something?

Agent Mendez: Hmm?

██████ Pierce: The real Naomi would never have done something like this, that much I know. No family should have to go through what we did. So, when you find whoever, or whatever did this to her… make sure you bring them to justice, alright? And please, do whatever it takes to save my daughter.

Agent Mendez: Don't worry, Mr. Pierce. We already have our best people on it. Get some rest.

Interviewer's Note: The connections between SCP-XXXX and GoI-2808 cannot be coincidental. As such, I am formally requesting additional resources be put towards monitoring the group's activities. - Agent Anita Mendez.

Following the conclusion of this interview, the Pierce family was amnesticized. Naomi remains in custody at Site-16.

Coincidentally, MTF Alpha-4 "Pony Express" agents embedded in the United States Postal Service intercepted a possibly anomalous package addressed to PoI-7895⁶. The contents of the package was found to be a box of various beauty products, a pink hairbrush, and a pink hand mirror, fitting the description of SCP-XXXX.

Also within the box was a letter written by PoI-7899. A transcript of the message is attached. Memetic hazards have been redacted:

I made these care packages as a special treat for especially good [MEMETIC HAZARD]s on the site, and I'm picking you to be the first lucky girl to receive one! I think that all you need is a reminder of the true, beautiful girl you can be. Take a look in the mirror while you experiment with the makeup I sent, and I think you'll see it too. Always remember, dear: real [MEMETIC HAZARD]s always look their best.

Furthermore, an investigation conducted by the Foundation suggests that Naomi Pierce had contact, and was even friends with several known members of GoI-2808, namely PoI-7895 and PoI-7896.⁷ It is believed that one of, or both of them introduced Naomi to the site at some point in the last three months. Activity logs from SCP-4319, as well as ██████ Pierce's interview appear to corroborate this.

Following the concentration of all SCP-XXXX instances at Site-16, operatives from MTF Chi-24 "Girl Power"⁸ reported a marked increase in the frequency and scale of incidents involving SCP-XXXX. Activity from SCP-4319 confirmed suspicions that PoI-7899 had begun 'rewarding' users of the site with care packages containing SCP-XXXX, most likely due to the Foundation's intercepting of PoI-7895's package. In response, Site-16 Command instructed MTF Chi-24 to step up containment efforts of SCP-XXXX. However, an incident at Site-16 on ██/██/2020 saw a large number of Chi-24 agents and Site personnel succumb to SCP-XXXX's effects. The ensuing fighting caused multiple Keter and Euclid level containment breaches, and the deaths of ██ personnel.

Following this incident, Site-16 Command and the O5 Council ruled unanimously that due to its cognitohazardous effects, MTF Chi-24's continued involvement with SCP-XXXX in a field role was an unacceptable risk to Foundation assets and personnel. As such, operational authority of field operations was handed to MTF Psi-21 "Cyril".

Foreword: Dr. Westmoreland interviewed Naomi Pierce, the first instance of SCP-XXXX-A, a week after her transfer to Foundation custody. The interview took place two hours after the transfer of all SCP-XXXX instances to Site-16. This interview was conducted mainly to question the subject about SCP-XXXX, to gauge the subject's mental health, as well as to experiment with the possibility that SCP-XXXX may affect SCP-XXXX-A instances even when in proximity to each other.

Closing Notes: Immediately following the conclusion of the interview, mishandling of instances of SCP-XXXX exposed multiple agents belonging to MTF Chi-24 and other female staff members to its cognitohazardous effects. The resulting fighting between them, and the attempted intervention of Site Security teams caused multiple Keter and Euclid level containment breaches, resulting in the deaths of ██ personnel. Dr. Westmoreland and Naomi Pierce were found in the interview room by MTF Psi-21 Team Three "Seraphim" and escorted to safety.

Interviewer's Note: SCP-XXXX presents more of a threat than we previously expected. While the cognitohazard itself is not lethal, the fighting between them caused multiple containment breaches. We need to be more careful with the handling of these mirrors from now on. We also need to be more aggressive in screening every letter and message from JGT for memetic hazards. Furthermore, following my interview with SCP-XXXX-A, I am formally requesting that Head Researcher Gallagher shift research to reversing SCP-XXXX's effects. Ms. Pierce was not fully in control when she lashed out at me, and with more incidents involving these damned mirrors popping up, it's only a matter of time until things get out of control. Addendum-01: Following intial recovery of SCP-XXXX, an email was found on the back of the handle, likely a support email. Due to the increasing frequency and scale of instances involving SCP-XXXX, the decision was made to contact the email, and attempt to gather information about its inherent cognitohazard, and hopefully glean a method of reversing its effects. Following this message, the email ceased responding to all attempts to contact it. Furthermore, the number of instances of SCP-XXXX in circulation appeared to increase. Due to this development, additional Psi-21 teams have been recalled from existing deployments to assist in containment operations.

Addendum-02: Following the containment breach at Site-16 on ██/██/2020, the Foundation intercepted a call from PoI-7896, in which she recommended SCP-4319 to a friend, Anise McCord. A week after the incident, MTF Alpha-4 tracked the delivery of a package to McCord's place of residence in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In light of this, the Foundation quickly authorized the deployment of teams from MTF Psi-21 to contain the threat. Log is attached:

On ██/██/2020, the parents of Rose Garret requested a welfare check for their daughter, a student at the University of Pittsburgh. They had received a series of phone calls and text messages from her, where she voiced concern for the behavior of her friend, Anise McCord. McCord had grown steadily more agitated over the past week, obsessing over her appearance and isolating herself from friends and family. The behavior mentioned matched SCP-XXXX's anomalous effects. According to Rose's parents, they had not heard from their daughter for at least two days following their last phone call. The address provided was found to be a sorority house for ███ █████ ████, with at least twenty confirmed residents.

Because of the unknown, possibly large number of individuals affected by SCP-XXXX, Site-16 Command authorized the deployment of two strike teams from MTF Psi-21 "Cyril".

Psi-21 Team One "Sicarii" Was dispatched to the sorority house as the entry team. Their orders were to quickly ascertain, pacify, and contain the threat before it brought undue public attention. Psi-21 Team Two "Shinobi" was dispatched to a nearby, unrelated incident, with orders to reinforce Team One if they required assistance. Both teams reported to Psi-21 command at Site-16, callsign 'Den Mother'.

Sicarii 1-2 'Dunn': You not read the reports, Pete? Seven homicides, ten hospitalizations in Pittsburgh alone. I don't think you want to be the poor bastard in the report that got stabbed to death by some sorority girls because you let your guard down.

Sicarii 1-3 'Blackburn': Besides, if the Foundation didn't think whatever's going on in there was serious, they'd have sent two ladies from Girl Power and called it a day. But hey, if you're too much of a pussy to go in there, I'm sure they'll be happy to wipe your memory and send you back to the SAS.

A chuckle rises up through the van, Rawlings scoffs.

Sicarii 1-5 'Rawlings': I'll show you who's a pussy, smartass…

Soon after, Foley clambers into the back, silencing the three.

Sicarii 1-1 'Foley': Alright, alright, we're almost to the house. Remember the rules of the game: The Foundation wants us to capture any instances of XXXX, and apprehend the residents alive. We can't figure out how to stop this if they're dead, so don't kill anyone unless they're about to kill you.

The agents nod. Foley passes out pairs of panoramic night vision goggles (GPNVG's).

Sicarii 1-1 'Foley': Our quad-NODs and helmet cams have been fitted with SCRAMBLE lenses. It'll identify the cognitohazard and scramble it out before it starts fucking with you. As far as we can tell, it won't affect us the same way it affects women, but they don't want us taking chances. All told, we'll be in and out. Simple containment job.

Agent Ananenko speaks up from the driver's seat.

Sicarii 1-4 'Ananenko': Ah, but when has any job for the Foundation been simple?

Another chuckle. The van slows to a halt.

Sicarii 1-4 'Ananenko': Well, we are here, friends. This place looks… how you say… very ominous…

Blackburn peeks out through the windshield. All the lights in the house are off. No activity is seen or heard inside.

Sicarii 1-1 'Foley': Lovely… Alright, check your weapons. Let's get this done.

The Agents ready their rifles. Foley brings a hand to his radio.

Sicarii 1-1 'Foley': Den Mother, this is Sicarii 1-1. We're onsite and preparing to enter the target building. How copy, over?

Den Mother: Den Mother copies all, Sicarii 1-1, proceed with caution. Shinobi 1 is on standby, out.

The agents open the van's back doors, filing out. They move across the lawn towards the house, weapons ready. They stack up at the front door.

Sicarii 1-1 'Foley': Curtains are drawn… I'm not hearing anyone inside. Dunn, you're on point. Get the door, quietly.

Dunn steps forward. He steps forward, taking a few moments to pick the lock. Once successful, he pushes the door open. Almost immediately, he recoils, coughing. A small cloud of what appears to be dust filters out of the open door.

Sicarii 1-2 'Dunn': Jesus… what'd these girls do? Dump half the world's supply of face powder in here?

The agents flip down their night vision goggles, stepping inside one by one. Once in the foyer, they see a woman laying face down on the floor, immobile. Foley motions to Blackburn.

Sicarii 1-1 'Foley': Blackburn, check for vitals.

Blackburn lets his rifle hang on its sling. He crouches next to the woman and gently rolls her over. As he reaches to check for a pulse, he stops in his tracks as he sees her face. Two eyeliner pencils have been stabbed into her eye sockets. The tips have begun to protrude out the top of her head.

Sicarii 1-3 'Blackburn': Oh my God… She's a goner, top.

Foley moves over to look, grimacing and shaking his head.

Sicarii 1-1 'Foley': Hmm… Dammit… Alright, let's secure the bottom floor, then we'll work our upstairs.

The team sweep through the bottom floor of the house. Two more bodies are found in the living room, five more in the kitchen, and another two in the dining room. In some cases, cosmetic tools such as Flat Irons and Curling Irons have been used as the murder weapons. Blackburn finds a laptop on the kitchen counter, bringing it back to the living room where the team reconvenes.

Sicarii 1-2 'Dunn': Everyone on the bottom floor's dead, boss. You think we're too late?

Sicarii 1-1 'Foley': I don't think so. They told us that twenty people were living here. Besides, we still haven't checked upstairs, yet. Blackburn, anything on the laptop?

Blackburn has accessed the laptop, showing a pink screensaver. Checking the web browser, he finds several visits to GoI-2808's website in the past week.

Sicarii 1-3 'Blackburn': Doesn't seem to have any anomalous hardware on it, besides the visits to JGT. It does confirm that the pink abomination is in play, though.

Sicarii 1-1 'Foley': Alright, let's check the top floor. Then we'll radio Den Mother for cleanu-

A loud crash in the next room cuts Foley off. The agents tense up, aiming their rifles towards the kitchen. Foley gestures for the team to investigate, as Ananenko, Blackburn, and Rawlings move forward. They move back through the kitchen, coming up on a closed door, the laundry room. After a moment, they can hear shuffling inside. The three agents stack up on the door, nodding to each other. Ananenko counts down from three, before he reaches over and opens the door, pushing it open. The agents come face to face with five women, appearing exhausted, disheveled, and terrified. Rose Garret is among them. Rawlings lowers his rifle, stepping forward

Sicarii 1-5 'Rawlings': Easy girls… easy now…

Rose Garret: W-who are you? Is it over?

Sicarii 1-5 'Rawlings': I… It's alright, love, we're policemen. You're safe now, come on out.

One by one, Rose and the other four file out of the laundry room, glancing around nervously. Ananenko flips up his goggles and takes out a small penlight, examining them for any injuries.

Sicarii 1-4 'Ananenko': Are any of you hurt? Can you tell us what happened?

The group remains silent for a moment, before Garret speaks up.

Garret: Anise… she started acting weird last week… four of us tried to go and talk to her… they looked into this mirror she had, and… they… we had to hide…

Garret crumples into tears. Ananenko tentatively embraces her, trying to calm her down.

Sicarii 1-4 'Ananenko': It's okay, rodnaya, you're safe now.

Footsteps and humming are heard coming from the dining room. Blackburn and Rawlings step forward, rifles at the ready. A woman steps out, holding a large kitchen knife, her shirt stained with blood. It is assumed the woman is an instance of SCP-XXXX-A. Garret and her friends move behind the agents.

SCP-XXXX-A: Oh! Mr. Policeman, you got them out! Thank you! Maybe you can help us talk to them, and get them on the same page?

Sicarii 1-5 'Rawlings': Drop the bloody knife. Drop it!

The instance steps forward, tilting her head and smiling.

SCP-XXXX-A: Oh, come on… we just want to show them how to be real girls! We don't want to have another fight, now do we? she gestures to the corpses in the kitchen with the knife.

Sicarii 1-5 'Rawlings': I said drop it! NOW!

The instance takes another step forward, growing visibly annoyed.

SCP-XXXX-A: You're protecting them? Ugh, I should have known. Boys are all the same… KeeLee gives us all these things to try and impress you, and it's never enough!

Sicarii 1-3 'Blackburn': Don't be stupid! Drop the knife and put your hands up!

The instance takes another step forward, ignoring Blackburn and Rawlings' commands to surrender.

SCP-XXXX-A: We try to look pretty for you. We dote on you. We don't speak unless spoken to, and still you pick these fake women instead! Fuck it, you'll bleed like the rest!

Sicarii 1-5 'Rawlings': STOP!

The instance charges the agents. Blackburn and Rawlings immediately open fire, hitting the instance several times. Garret and her friends scream in response to the gunfire. The instance falls on her back, convulsing for a moment, before falling limp.

Sicarii 1-5 'Rawlings': Bloody hell… Joe, you good? Dimi? Girls?

All nod. Foley and Dunn enter the kitchen.

Sicarii 1-1 'Foley': Everything alright?!

Blackburn gestures to the body of the SCP-XXXX-A instance.

Sicarii 1-3 'Blackburn': Stepford Wife tried to rush us. We had to put her down.

Running can be heard from the floor above. Blackburn and Ananenko train the weapons move, training their weapons on the staircase.

Sicarii 1-1 'Foley': Black, Dimi, go upstairs and sweep for hostiles. Rawlings, get the girls to the vick. Dunn, with me.

Sicarii 1-5 'Rawlings': Copy. Come on, darlin's, outside, let's go.

Rawlings leads Rose and the remaining, unaffected women to the front door. Dunn and Foley move off to an unknown part of the house, while Blackburn and Ananenko assemble at the stairs.

Sicarii 1-3 'Blackburn': Alright… you ready to rock?

Sicarii 1-4 'Ananenko': Da… let's do it…

Slowly, the two agents move up the stairs, watching for any movement. As Blackburn reaches the top, a scream is heard from the right, as another instance of SCP-XXXX-A tries to grab the man's weapon with one hand, a knife in the other. A brief struggle ensues, as Blackburn quickly overpowers the instance and pins her to the ground, knocking the knife out of her hand.

Sicarii 1-3 'Blackburn': Shit, that was close! They want them alive, right Dimi?

Sicarii 1-4 'Ananenko': If possible, they said. Considering you've already got her down…

Sicarii 1-3 'Blackburn': Yeah, yeah…

Blackburn retrieves a pair of cable ties from his rucksack, tying the instance's hands and kicking the knife away.

Sicarii 1-3 'Blackburn': Got any more tricks up your sleeve? Or are you gonna stop resisting?

SCP-XXXX-A: (Giggling) Real girls are always well behaved…

Sighing, Blackburn stands up, and he and Ananenko continue. They encounter another instance, who they apprehend without incident. She appears to be crying.

SCP-XXXX-A: Real girls are always well behaved… N-no… get out of my head… make it stop…

Sicarii 1-3 'Blackburn': They keep saying that. Does that mean anything?

Sicarii 1-4 'Ananenko': It's one of JGT's taglines. Memetic hazard and shit.

Blackburn chuckles, looking up at Ananenko.

Sicarii 1-3 'Blackburn': Ah, one of the Stepford Queen's catchphrases- DIMI, BEHIND YOU!

Blackburn draws his sidearm as an instance charges Ananenko from behind with a hammer. Two shots ring out as Blackburn hits her in the chest. The instance collapses, falling limp against the wall. Looking at the body, Ananenko sighs with relief.

Sicarii 1-4 'Ananenko': Chyort… Thanks for the save, Joe…

Ananenko helps Blackburn to his feet. The two continue on, until they reach the final room on the floor, 'Anise ♡' is written on the door.

Sicarii 1-4 'Ananenko': Alright… this one should be the last one.

Sicarii 1-3 'Blackburn': Hopefully she comes quietly… I don't want to have to kill any more girls… doesn't sit right with me…

Ananenko nods. Counting down from three. He kicks the door open, as the two agents storm into the room. The change in atmosphere is immediate: Pink walls, pink decor, pink clothes. Anise McCord is sitting at a vanity table. A ringlight illuminates her face as she applies a heavy layer of makeup. An instance of SCP-XXXX can be seen on the table. The SCRAMBLE tech in Blackburn's helmet camera detects the cognitohazard and scrambles the mirror's image.

Sicarii 1-3 'Blackburn': (whispered) Christ alive… a little overboard on the pink…

They begin to approach the table, rifles lowered, but at the ready.

Sicarii 1-3 'Blackburn': Are you Anise…?

Anise McCord: Hmm? Oh, I'm sorry. Just getting ready for my date, is all. I'm sure he'll be here soon.

Sicarii 1-3 'Blackburn': Date? It's 3 in the morning.

Anise McCord: It's never too late to have fun with my dream man… I've been getting my makeup ready all day… Real girls always look their best.

The agents step closer. McCord ignores them.

Sicarii 1-4 'Ananenko': Alright, enough. Show me your hands, you're coming with us.

McCord: But I can't just leave my date like that! A girl never does that! Real girls always put their men first.

Sicarii 1-3 'Blackburn': He's not coming. He wouldn't take you anywhere anyway, not after he sees you killed your friends. Now, we can do this the easy way, or we can do it the hard way. Put your hands u-

McCord shoots up from her seat, slashing Ananenko's cheek with a pair of scissors. He recoils back, howling in pain.

McCord: NO! YOU'RE NOT TAKING ME ANYWHERE! THEY WERE FAKE WOMEN! FAKE! WE TRIED TO SHOW THEM WHAT REALLY MATTERED, BUT THEY WOULDN'T LISTEN! KEELEE SHOWED US HOW TO BE REAL GIRLS, AND YOU'RE NOT TAKING THAT AWAY FROM ME!

McCord charges at Blackburn. He quickly grabs the hand holding the scissors, painfully twisting her wrist, the scissors falling out of her hand. McCord then tries to bite Blackburn's nose, where he pins her to the ground, tying her hands.

Sicarii 1-3 'Blackburn': Goddamn… Dimitri, are you alright?

Ananenko groans, holding a hand over the gash on his cheek with a wince.

Sicarii 1-4 'Ananenko': Suka… the bitch fucking slashed me!

Beneath Blackburn, sobbing can be heard from McCord, who had suddenly ceased thrashing..

McCord: Oh God… What did I just do…? I'm sorry… I'm so sorry… I didn't want to… real girls don't have mental breakdowns- No! Get out of my head! Please… please help me…

Ananenko raises an eyebrow, as he steps towards Blackburn.

Sicarii 1-4 'Ananenko': They're… not fully in control, are they…?

Blackburn sighs.

Sicarii 1-3 'Blackburn': I guess not. Now I really wish I didn't pull the trigger… Come on, let's report back to Foley and get the hell out. All the powder in the air's killing my nose…

Blackburn helps McCord to her feet, still sobbing, as Ananenko grabs the other instances they had apprehended. Foley and Dunn are seen waiting at the bottom of the stairs.

Sicarii 1-3 'Blackburn': These two gave us a bit of a fight, but we got them. It's like… I don't know… like they weren't in control.

Sicarii 1-1 'Foley': That's something for the eggheads to work out. Anyway, good work, you two. Let's get this wrapped up.

The agents all step outside. Foley keys his radio.

Sicarii 1-1 'Foley': Den Mother, this is Sicarii 1-1. Target building secured. Jackpot on HVT's. Repeat, jackpot on HVT's. How copy, over?

Den Mother: Den Mother copies, 1-1, good work. Shinobi is en-route with cleanup teams. Sit tight, out.

Several unmarked armored cars arrive on scene. Foundation containment teams step out. Some enter the house, while others take the surviving women and instances into custody.

Sicarii 1-3 'Blackburn': Another fantastic day with the spookhouse shit…

Sicarii 1-1 'Foley': Hmph. Well, our job's done. Let's back to 16. Drinks are on me.

Silently and solemnly, the agents climb into their van. They drive off, the car containing the women following. Back at the house, body bags begin to be carried out…

Closing Notes: Agent Dimitri Ananenko was admitted to Site-16 medical for minor injuries. Rose Garret, and the remaining unaffected women were debriefed, amnectisized, and brought to UPMC Mercy Hospital. Foundation cleanup teams promptly burned the house down, with the cover story of a gas leak. Anise McCord, and the two other instances of SCP-XXXX-A remain in Foundation custody. Incidents involving SCP-XXXX continue to increase in frequency across the Continental United States. Requests to reclassify SCP-XXXX to Keter are pending.

A series of handheld mirrors created by KeeLee, creator of the pink abomination, Just Girly Things. The mirror exhibits a powerful cognitohazard that, when a girl perceives their reflection, progressively becomes more and more obsessed with their self image as time goes on. Girls affected typically attempt to 'beautify' themselves in the standard set by JGT: Pink clothes, makeup, ribbons, the whole nine yards. The affected typically react violently when their loved ones try to intervene, often resulting in murder.

Central Narrative:

The story begins in Portland, Oregon. Foundation agents embedded with local police report that a teenage girl attacked, and severely wounded her family under anomalous circumstances. A response is expedited after several female officers, and crime scene investigators appear to fall victim to an apparent cognitohazard, resulting in a shootout that claims the lives of eight officers. After the Foundation takes control of the investigation, they find that Just Girly Things is involved, due to the support email found on the mirror, and the obscene amount of pink in the girl's room. The Foundation is worried, naturally. JGT has never done anything like this, not with physical objects…

Coincidentally, MTF Alpha-4 intercepts a package addressed to a known JGT user: Cora. Inside is another mirror, a set of makeup, and a letter written by KeeLee. She expresses her concern over Cora's behaviour on JGT, and says she needs a reminder of the true girl she can be. Real [MEMETIC HAZARD]s always look their best, after all.

Things only seem to get worse. Mishandling of the mirrors causes a site-wide containment breach at Site-16, more mirrors begin to pop up around the US, and the body count begins to rise. With the situation rapidly spiraling out of control, the Foundation finds itself in a race against time, as they work to stop JGT's latest plot…
