Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is kept in room ██ on site [REDACTED]. The room in which SCP-XXXX is kept in shall be made to appear as [REDACTED] and will be kept dark to prevent anyone who enters the room to read the pages of the books on the bookshelf.
SCP-XXXX shall be contained in a locked room. Only personnel with level 3 clearance is allowed to unlock the room in which SCP-XXXX is stored.
Due to the events that occurred after test III, no personnel, under any circumstance, is allowed to interact with SCP-XXXX. (See Test Log III for details)
Description: SCP-XXXX is a bookshelf 4 meters in height, 1 meter in length, and 50 centimeters in depth with 3 shelves 7 centimeters thick within the bookshelf. SCP-XXXX appears to be made out of black cherry wood. No fastening materials are visible.
SCP-XXXX appears to be occasionally filled with books, ranging anywhere from 0-50 books at a time. The books on SCP-XXXX are described as being bound in human skin, although, when observed on camera or other forms of recording, they appear as normal books with blank pages. No documentation of the contents of the pages has ever been conducted.
When subjects read the contents of these books, they begin to slowly descend into madness the longer they are exposed to the contents of the pages, with worse cases (test III) causing subjects to [DATA EXPUNGED].
