SCP-XXXX with it's eyes censored to avoid infection. The photography was captured with a robotic, radio controlled camera stand. And the censoring was accomplished by an AI controlled GNU image manipulation program, designed to identify eyes and censor them.
Item#: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: Object is wrapped with three thick cloths with a plastic tie strap around the cloths and the bottom of the figurine itself. Testing is only allowed with written approval from Dr. Kisby.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a porcelain figurine resembling a poodle, carrying a golden basket of roses. When any human makes eye contact with the object, their eyes orientation will be locked so as to constantly be pointed at the eyes of the figurine. After a random period of time, typically below a minute1, the subject will be able to look freely again. At this point however, any non affixed object, ranging from objects as big as a bed to as small as a pack of cigarettes, in direct line of sight, excluding SCP-XXXX itself, will become animate, manifest a pair of humanoid arms and a face and will instantly leap towards the subject and attempt to gouge their eyes out with its thumbs. However, should any new object enter direct line of sight of the subject it will become animate and behave in a similar way, whereas the initial object will cease animation. All instances behave consistently in this manner. This effect will indirectly cause the affected subject to enter a craze of fear and distress while rapidly moving their focus from one object in their surroundings to another. The only way to reverse the effect is if the affected humans eyes cease function, either as a cause of the animate object itself or any other reason. Identification marks at the bottom of the figurine suggest it is of a royal Danish porcelain type design. It was discovered at Mjørkadalur Marine Station in the Faroe Islands, after a report of two employees who had been encountered wandering aimlessly around the station, first one with their eyeballs burst, and the latter with their eyeballs turned 180 degrees causing their optic nerve to disconnect from the brain. After they mentioned a disturbing encounter with the porcelain figurine, the object was confiscated and brought to site-78.
