Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is currently contained in Storage site-08. SCP-XXXX is to be positioned at the outer wall of the Storage site. The barrel of SCP-XXXX muzzle is to be covered at all times except during testing. SCP-XXXX is to be painted when needed to stop further rusting. Testing with SCP-XXXX must be approved by site administrator.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a mussel loaded cannon made from bronze dating to the 17th century. SCP-XXXX was part of the cannon armament of Akershus Fortress in Oslo, Norway. SCP-XXXX has rusted due to poor maintenance and direct exposure to the elements. The cannon that makes up SCP-XXXX sits upon a wooden carriage. It is not known if the wooden carriage is part of SCP-XXXX or if SCP-XXXX merely sits upon it.
SCP-XXXX will spontaneously reload and fire upon whom is inflicting damage to the building or items in or connected to the building SCP-XXXX is situated in, with enough power to neutralize the threat. SCP-XXXX is able to move horizontally to shoot its target. Testing show that SCP-XXXX wont fire with a muzzle cover on. However SCP-XXXX is sometimes able to circumvent the muzzle cover. Only one instance of this happening has been recorded. See incident XXXX-1. It is theorized that a strong enough threat is able to trigger this response.
Addendum: SCP-XXXX was discovered on 21.09.1986 when SCP-XXXX fired on a teenager who was breaking windows on a building SCP-XXXX was stored inside. A foundation agent on vacation witnessed the event and secured SCP-XXXX. A copy of SCP-XXXX was put in its place.
05.08.20██ - Incident XXXX-1
on 5 august 20██ at 1700 SCP-682 tried to breach containment. SCP-682 was stopped when a projectile broke through the containment cell of SCP-682 and then struck SCP-682 stomach. SCP-682 stomach area was void of any tissue.
It was later confirmed that the shot came from SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX had shot through its muzzle cover and gone through approximately 1/6 of the site. The shot caused 3 casualty’s and 28 wounded.
