Item #: SCP-51XX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: All staff personnel are not to look directly at the engraving on SCP-51XX SCP-51XX is to be contained in a 12cm×12cm×12cm box with thick, soundproof walls. SCP-51XX is to be checked on daily
Description: SCP-51XX resembles a light blue, non-anomalous sphere exactly 10 millimeters in diameter and is composed of a heavily dense material similar conductive properties to silver, though current tests have failed to identify what the material is (see addendum-1). SCP-51XX has a mass of 400 grams, most likely due to the alloy that it is made of. The smooth, spherical object has a small red '+' etched on its surface, though testing has shown that attempts to create similar etching have failed, meaning that the source of the red mark likely required a significant amount of force and precision. The dye used to create the red coloration is also currently unknown. The engraving in SCP-51XX is about 0.3mm deep into the surface. one axis of the '+' symbol is approximately 15% longer than the other, but both axes perpendicularly bisect each other.
Under close observation SCP-51XX strangely generates a quiet, soft sound, measured to ring at the frequency of 432 Hz at 20dB. However, SCP-51XX does not ring continuously. Researchers have hypothesized the random tones to be morse code. But, after transscribing the code, they were left with nothing. Researchers have, however, discerned 3 patterns of "code" that SCP-51XX creates listed as follows.
