Item #: SCP-5127
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5127 is to be contained in a airlock container of any kind. Then, said container(s) must be transported and stored in a containment locker at Site-██. Any instance of SCP-5127 being infected by SCP-5127-A must be immediately disposed of via incinerator. SCP-5127 testing is restricted to Level 2 clearance and above. SCP-5127's chamber is to be sealed off via cement in order to stop SCP-5127-A from spreading further. No personnel are allowed inside SCP-5127's chamber until further notice.
Description: SCP-5127 is multiple brown, seasoned, and baked pieces of bread, more commonly known as croutons. SCP-5127 is packaged in olive and beige colored plastic bags with the label █████ ██████. Once questioned, the restaurant chain denied ever manufacturing said products. For the most part, the croutons do not retain any physical anomalous properties.
However, through various testing it is shown that SCP-5127 has weights not possible for regular versions of it. SCP-5127's weight seems to vary between instances, currently the average weights for SCP-5127 is 1-27 tons, with the highest weighing instance of SCP-5127 weighing 35 tons.
SCP-5127 was discovered in Bordeaux, France when reportedly "Croutons that broke my [EXPLETIVE] table." were discovered. Once interrogating ██████ ███████ about SCP-5127, he claims that SCP-5127's package it was contained it was moveable, and weighed as much as a normal bag would. This leads the question whether or not SCP-5127's package is sort of a pocket dimension for SCP-5127, although not looking like it.
Addendum 1: As of 11/12/██, researchers have been reporting more than the usual count of SCP-5127 packages than normal. They have come to the conclusion that SCP-5127 is somehow manifesting more packages to increase in quantity. Reasons of this is currently unknown. Questioning has began whether or not SCP-5127 is somehow sentient and is trying to reproduce somehow to keep it's "kind" alive.
Addendum 2: As of 2/4/██, a unexpected incident has halted further testing with SCP-5127. During Researcher █████'s daily count of SCP-5127, he discovered a strange mold growing on SCP-5127. This has been given the designation "SCP-5127-A". Researcher █████ began experiencing extreme coughing after being exposed to SCP-5127-A.
Addendum 3: As of 5/18/██, SCP-5127's quantity has noticeably decreased. SCP-5127's count was ███ at original recovery, and has dropped to 12 in total as of now. Researchers also note that SCP-5127 has stopped manifesting more packages since SCP-5127-A was discovered.
Addendum 4: As of 6/12/██, SCP-5127's containment chamber has been permanently sealed off due to SCP-5127-A's extreme mold growth spreading from SCP-5127 into the containment chamber itself. Researchers exposed to SCP-5137-A have either died of mold growth through their mouth area or became ill to the point where they are required to be on life support at the infirmary of Site-██ 24/7. Theories question whether or not SCP-5127-A has some correlation with SCP-020, although other claims disprove it.
