Item #: Possession

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: Possession is to be kept in a 3x3x3 meter glass box within a 10x10x10 meter metal containment chambers. Personnel are not to be let near object unless for testing. Unless said otherwise, Level 4 personnel are allowed access to object. No fewer than three (3) armed guards outside and within containment chambers are to be securing it. Anyone who comes into contact with object will start to shift in form, and psychological evaluation is lost into a wolf like state. If a Possession -2 occurs, tranquilize and terminate the object immediately.

Description:Possession appears to be a wolf skull, only missing the bottom of its jaw. Although, looking as normal as a skull can be, its abnormal changes to whomever wears it, is not.

The object, when in contact with any human, will slowly and painfully start to shift the humans form into a wolf. Process appears to be extremely painful (See Addendum 4), and takes four (4) days for it to finish. Most personnel do not survive within those days, and often expire.

However, when a surviving personnel has finished the process, they appear to be a timber wolf with a skull. Surviving personnel who have finished this process are now referred to as Possession-2.

Possession-2 will have the instinct of an average wolf, yet, everywhere it walks, any nearby personnel will have an immediate heart attack, resulting the anomaly to start oozing blood out of it’s paws (See Addendum 2).

Possession-2 is known to attack and hunt any personnel who have touched it and survived and never changed, or at random. It is unknown why object hunts like this.

Addendum 1: Object was carried by a guard who, moronically, put it on as a joke. Guard could not pull it off, and died within three (3) days of the process.

Addendum 2: Object was given to D-1587 and the following happened.

Day 1: Subject put the object on and described a sudden click in his mind. Subject tried pulling object off, but failed.
Day 2: Subject started shifting, his hair growing all over his body, and his ears into werewolf like. Subject has been walking on all fours all day.
Day 3: Subject has grown a tail, he looks more werewolf like but, he appears to be getting smaller.
Day 4: Subject looks to be a timber wolf, and growls at us everytime one of us near it. Three (3) personnel has had a heart attack and the anomaly’s paw prints can be shown, appearing as if it had walked in a puddle of blood.
Addendum 3: Object was breached and second anomaly was terminated by gunshot to the temple of the head.

Addendum 4: Subject puts on the skull and explains to personnel what she is feeling.
Begin Clip.
Subject: “I’m feeling a burning. Like, I’m in a heat wave.”

Doctor: “Can you describe another feeling?”

Subject: “It’s just so god damned painful! Why did you make me put it on in the first place?!”

Doctor: “D-4653. Tell me what kind of pain you are feeling.”

Subject goes quiet for a moment.

Subject: “It’s burning. Everywhere, I feel like I’m on fire. My head is pounding as if someone is throwing my head into a brick wall! It hurts doctor! Take it off!”

Doctor: “That concludes the test for today.”

Subject: “What?! Where are you going?! You can’t leave it on me! Please! Take it off! Take it o-”

Subjects plea’s were silenced when the monitor turned off.

End of Clip.

Addendum 5: Subject was told to put the skull on. The following recording is between Dr. [REDACTED] and the SCP itself.
Begin Clip:

Dr. [REDACTED]: “So, let’s start off with a simple question. What are you feeling?”

Possession: “I feel nothing. I can’t feel anything. I am merely a skull.”

Dr. [REDACTED]: “What in the hell?”

A clipboard drops from one of the researchers hands, beside him, out of shock.

Possession: “You wanted me to tell you what I am feeling, am I correct?”

Dr. [REDACTED] clears his throat.

Dr. [REDACTED]: “That is correct. Would you explain to me why your sentience is here?”

Possession goes silent. Object does not speak the rest of the recording. A bone cracks and a scream erupts from the subject currently wearing the object.
