Special containment procedures :

All SCP-XXXX are to be kept in high-power incubators set to 400oC at all times. In the event of a containment breach, any incendiary weapons (Thermite Explosives, Flamethrowers, ect.) are to be used to reduce SCP-XXXX into state 0. Once reduced, SCP-XXXX are to be replaced into incubators and stored for re-containment. In the event that SCP-XXXX begin to breed, specimen population is to be reduced to fifty (50) specimens.

Desctiption :

SCP-XXXX are white invertebrates that vary in size and are similar in resemblance to maggots, of which the foundation currently has fifty (50). A major difference would be a large toothed mouth where the head would normally be and a hard shell completley encompassing it made from keratin. Analysis has revealed that they are completely hollow on the inside, regardless of state. SCP-XXXX have various stages that depend entirely on its temperature and only seem to affect their size and ability to chew through different materials. The only exception to this would be state 0, which also changes its color to light brown and "disables" it, and state 10 which allows it to reproduce. Regardless of temperature, SCP-XXXX always feels lukewarm to the touch, the only way to tell its temperature would be using thermal imaging. It is extremely aggressive towards any forms of life, and will actively burrow towards where it thinks life is. Once it catches its prey, it will proceed to [REDACTED] it in mass numbers. SCP-XXXX can be destroyed in any manner other than heat and will always return to current outside temperature and reanimate Testing has shown that a exposure to a temperature greater than 1250oC will render SCP-XXXXs unable to return to a functional form.

Has no difficulty chewing through anything

Gains ability to reproduce with other Stage 10 SCP-XXXXs
