Special Containment Procedures: SCP-3578 is to be kept in Site-07 in a standard humanoid containment chamber built inside a 10x10m titanium sphere. The containment chamber will be kept constantly surrounded by four spinning cuprate superconductor rings that will levitate the cage and contain the entity via the esoteric use of barely understood quantum physics strikingly similar to the Meissner–Ochsenfeld effect. The spinning rings can be stopped while still maintaining levitation (albeit at a 643.8% increased energy cost) to give access to the interior of the cage via a hermetic hatch door. Due to SPC-3578’s matter phasing abilities and the excessive energetic cost this can never be done for periods longer than 10 minutes. The interior of the cage can be furnished with a music player, a DVD, a TV or several bookshelves if SCP-3578 cooperates with the Foundation. Every item is to be powered via the use of batteries; no electric outlets are to be present in the cage. New media can be granted as a reward for good behaviour every two weeks; this media regardless of its nature is to be completely random. Every given object and interaction is to be done via a drone with no recording or image streaming capabilities, only voiced conversations are to be allowed. The cell itself has been constructed to also act a Faraday cage but still, objects like cell phones or any device capable of connecting to the internet or the outside by any means are completely forbidden.

Description: SCP-3578 is a entity of 3.2 meters of height. The entity is partially incorporeal, semi-transparent and constantly floats at 0.3 meters above the ground, which has made analyzing its mass impossible as most measuring methods simply do not detect it. It is believed SCP-3578 is only visible and semi corporeal due to the effects of its containment method or simply because it allows it to happen and otherwise it would be completely invisible and undetectable by all known means.

Its shape deviates greatly from the human form while still maintaining several striking similarities. SCP-3578’s internal skeletal structure contains the same basic shape and number of bones in a healthy human adult albeit elongated and twisted. No internal organs, genitals or musculature are present within its body. For classifications purposed it is to be considered gender neutral.

Several gigantic fang filled slits are present lining SCP-3578’s body but these have never be seen opening, albeit they might twitch and spasm in random occasions. On its face there is a jade and copper mask of intricate design, this mask is decorated with geometric motifs resembling precolombine Aztec imagery and floral accessories of what appear to be Nelumbo Nucifera (Indian Lotus) flowers.

SCP-3578’s body is composed of a viscous substance that can only be cut with lasers that operate between the ███ and ███ GHz spectrum. The lost matter will be slowly regenerated over the period of up to 48 hours. SCP-3578 doesn’t show any discomfort about this process or losing part of its mass but it has admitted that it feels especially ravenous afterwards. Every cell of its body is affected by gravity and can phase across solid mass, albeit at a faster or slower speed depending on the substance it is pressing against, being Fraxinus wood the best material found so far with a deceleration of 87% of normal phasing speed. Due to the transparency and ethereal properties of SCP-3578’s cells study has been incredibly tedious and slow as most samples end phasing onto the floor and get irreversibly lost sooner or later. DNA tests have shown that its genetic code is 98% identical to that of a human. Only two parts of its body have shown different properties, its eyeless mask and its multiple teeth which are both completely opaque and solid, albeit it is hypothesized that it can make them as incorporeal as the rest of its body at will, these two parts have been proven to be all but impossible to break and gather samples from.

Despite possessing sentience, a mouth and a jaw SCP-3578 has never communicated physically and instead speaks by emitting his voice around itself by unknown means. It has been noted that it’s voice always produces a soft echo, regardless of the dimensions of the room or environment it is in.

SCP-3578 feeds on what it calls “organic energies”; these can be knowledge, dreams, memories, thoughts, emotions and █████ of living sentient beings. Lack of sustenance in organic energies will result in the entity's becoming more aggressive and animalistic, parts of its body will start decaying and losing tensile strength, causing entire chunks of it's flesh to start falling down. With the sole exception of █████, SCP-3578 doesn’t needs to physically touch the subject to start the consumption or are proven lethal to the person it feeds upon. According to SCP-3578 while it can feed on the other types of organic energies these are not enough to ensure sustenance and it needs at least one ████ every two weeks. This request has been granted and every ten days SCP-3578 is to be feed a single D-Class person, this subject is to be taught a random variety of scientific, philosophic and artistic subjects for a week before being consumed. The remains are to be incinerated and its ashes sent to its closest family member. SCP-3578 seems to prefer memories or knowledge about itself over everything else, even becoming violent to feed upon the people who possess them, for this reason no pictures or video footage is to be taken of SCP-3578 at any time.

SCP-3578 can also gather organic energies by listening, reading or watching entertainment media like music, books, movies or even videogames; albeit, according to its own words, these are little more than snacks that barely fill. Whenever it consumes media it doesn’t really focus on the plot, rhythm or gameplay and instead seems to feed upon the trains of thought that happened on the product it is feeding upon. For example after reading an especially interesting book it will feed upon the inspiration that went onto its pages and after a brilliant plot twist it will mention things like really enjoying the taste of the ideas that the author came up with. Despite of that it doesn’t really seem to perceive the contents and seems unable to recall the characters, lyrics or plots of the media it consumes. All the consumed media won’t change in appearance or composition but will become anomalous and won’t be able to entertain anyone who reads, plays, watches or listens upon them, becoming impossibly dull and boring to everyone. The consumed media is to be recycled or incinerated.

Just like SCP-3578 can feed upon organic energies it can also, according to its own words, feed part of its own energies to other people, allowing these subjects to have vivid dreams, suddenly feel emotional outbursts or come up with new ideas or inspiration. SCP-3578 gave himself to the Foundation by travelling to Site-07; it rendered itself visible and phased its hand inside of Dr. ██████’s head. The security personnel shoot several rounds which harmlessly phased across its body. Dr. ██████ ultimately asked them to stop and assured that she was fine. Minutes later she became overwhelmed by new ideas and immediately started working on schematics and equations to build SCP-3578’s containment. According to Dr. ██████’s own testimony it filled its head with ideas and complex knowledge in an instant, asking only for the containment to be built in return. ██████: Let’s start with the basics, what are you?

3578: The SCP Foundation has designated me as SCP-3578, Euclid Class.
██████: Yes, correct, but, what’s the reason of you being here?

3578: How can you ask that question to something non-human when humanity hasn’t found the answer to that yet? Priorities, Doctor.
██████: Let me rephrase it. Why did you come to us, 3578?

3578: We are hunter-gatherers; I decided that such life was not for me. I now have fresh food being handled to me. I’m here to feed and, some day, die.

██████: We, who is we?

3578: My people of course.
██████: How many of your people are out there?

3578: Between two and half a million maybe? We are nomadic individuals who barely interact between each other. I haven’t met of my species in decades. There isn’t anyone like me thought; otherwise I would be SCP-3578-2.
██████: Tell me more about your species. Why are you present on our world?

3578: Originally our people weren’t as different as your humanity. Your scientists could even have classified us as members of the Homo genus. Distant cousins if you want to think of it that way. Our society couldn’t be more radically different to yours thought. We embraced anomalies and studied them to improve the human condition. We attempted to ascend into beings of pure energy…but we didn’t quite make it. We became something higher yes, yet impossibly far from our expectations.
██████: What failed?

3578: We don’t know, but it mattered not. We redefined humanity and now our species was irreversibly and forever changed. We became unable to process food anymore; we lacked digestive tracts after all. From that point on we required organic energies to survive.
██████: So, are you from another planet, another dimension or timeline? Your tale doesn’t explain why you are here.

3578: Your impatience and curiosity are quite delicious Doctor. Flora and Fauna were unaffected and their organic energies were not enough for us, we faced a slow extinction. Son we turned into each other in a cannibalistic civil war. We attempted to become something superior and in reality we became little more than beasts… and that was a good thing. There it is; curiosity again, this time with some fear added to it.

██████: Please, focus on the story.

3578: Just like humanity experienced a quick evolutionary progress after discovering fire and cooked meat we also changed to something further beyond. After devouring each other the survivors we were changed physically and mentally. The few that remained found the solution to what looked like a dead-end. We would travel further beyond to a source of organic energies. I don’t know if I travelled in time, to another dimension or to a mixture of both; matters not. When we came we found plenty of food to be gathered. A young humanity ready to be reaped and harvested.
██████: When was that; for how long have you been here?

3578: Millennia. Along the years we planted seeds of brilliance in your minds to create generations of cultured people who would dream big and do life changing discoveries. We have aided humanity by giving them insight or inspiration to achieve great successes, for example in the creation of the █████████ ███████, medicines like ██████████ or even the ████████. I have personally aided the Foundation in coming with containment procedures, protocols or understanding of some SPCs. Did you know that class-█ amnesiacs don’t really do anything?
