Description [ARCHIVED]: SCP-XXXX was a multi-stage anomalous event resulting in the destruction of the Chaos Insurgency's previous center of operations, Facility 31.

SCP-XXXX began at approximately 4:30 AM, 09/04/1958, and ended five minutes later at 4:35 AM.

The cause of SCP-XXXX is presently unknown.

[00:00] - Emergency alarms sound within SCPF Site-01.

[00:43] - Emergency alarms cease.

[01:12] - A loud, low-pitched hum is heard, followed by a short burst of blue light across the entirety of both Site-01 and Facility 31.

[01:50] - Facility 31 launches a ballistic missile. It is unknown where this originated from.

[02:36] - A bright, white beam of light is seen curving around the horizon towards Facility 31, moving at hypersonic speed.

[03:05] - The ballistic missile launched by Facility 31 is vaporized as it draws close to the beam of light. The beam continues movement.

[03:49] - Sirens emanate from Facility 31, and several vehicles are seen attempting to evacuate the area. The beam of light is now clearly visible from Facility 31.

[04:22] - The beam of light reaches Facility 31, and the building becomes engulfed with a similar white light. No sound is heard.

[04:36] - The white light fades, and Facility 31 is revealed to be destroyed, along with all aforementioned vehicles.

[04:50] - A small electrical explosion is seen in a dim crater below the wreckage.

[05:00] - No further activity. Incident CERES concludes.

Statement Regarding Incident CERES

It is with great hesitation that I address last night's events.

As you may know, the Chaos Insurgency is a ravenous splinter group intent on causing carnage and dismay, and built on principles founded on the destruction of our, the Foundation's, established order. It is, though, rather saddening to know of Facility 31's obliteration.

Instead of choosing to coexist with us, as the facility had managed to do perfectly since it's inception, they chose to launch a missile in our direction. We retaliated, and now they have been reduced to ashes.

After every opportunity they have been given, every chance to stand down, the Insurgency have chosen ignorance, anger, and war. As upsetting as it was to watch our old allies burn, I fear they may never learn their lesson.

With all the confusion gained from the result of their violent outburst, I felt obligated to make my opinion known. I and my peers, after all, are those responsible for the discipline of our unwise, rebellious children that were once compliant.

Insurgency, if you have read this, I beg of you to cease your childish antics. Reflect, always, on what happened on The Fourth of September, and never, ever, forget it.
