Item #: SCP-XXXX (Houdini's Ticket)
Object Class: Euclid
Date of Recovery: 23-07-1997
Location of Recovery: Princess Theatre in Montreal, Quebec
Special Containment Procedures: The object is to be kept in a simple glass case. No special containment is required.
For transport, thick rubber or plastic gloves at least .5 cm thick at the palm must be used or a prongs as touching the object will activate it. If object is damaged during transport or use, contact Montreal branch for recovery of recreated object immediately.
Description: The object is an original ticket to Harry Houdini's show at the Princess Theatre in Montreal, Quebec for a show on 10-18-1926, 8 days before his death. It manifests in original condition. When touched, it transports the User(s) to the original stage room of the Princess Theatre where Harry Houdini (Or SCP-XXXX-01) performs a magic show. This room is a pocket dimension connected to the ticket. Exiting through the doors leads to a black void. Once stepped into, the User(s) will return to the spot where they initially came into contact with the object regardless of where the object is at the time of return. Inside the room, time progresses at an equal rate as in our dimension. The room is made uniquely for each User(s). If more than one User touches the object at the same time, they will be transported together. Any subsequent User(s) touching it separately will have a unique dimension starting for them. Once the first user enters, the dimension begins from the beginning and will not reset till everyone leaves.
If SCP-XXXX is torn or damaged by a tear of any size, it will disappear and reappear somewhere on the premises where the Princess Theatre once stood in original condition.
The seats are mostly filled with faceless, humanoid figures dressed in suits and dresses designated as SCP-XXXX-02. SCP-XXXX-02s will laugh and enjoy the show and will act as an audience for SCP-XXXX-01. They will normally not look to or acknowledge the User(s)'s presence with the only interaction being to move if the User(s)chooses to take a seat and they are in the way. Once the show is finished, SCP-XXXX-02s will sit motionlessly like mannequins until the User(s) leaves and return, resetting the dimension.
If the User(s)stays after the show is over, after 15 minutes pass, SCP-XXXX-01 may invite the User(s) specifically backstage to join him for dinner assuming the User(s) was a 'good audience member'. The dinner will consist of what SCP-XXXX-01's 'favorite food' being lobster, rolls, salads, t-bone steaks, mashed potatoes, among other favored americana foods of the time. SCP-XXXX-01 will converse with the User and will acknowledge that they are not of his time and ask how things are like in present day. He will ask about the User(s) life, family, or whatever else for friendly conversation. Once 30 minutes exactly has passed after dinner has finished, SCP-XXXX-01 will become as motionless as the audience. All lights will go off save for the exit light at the front of the Theatre where the User(s) entered. It will stay this way till the dimension is reset.
Addendum XXXX-1: Use of violence against SCP-XXXX-01 or any of SCP-XXXX-02s will result in a premature ending of the show. SCP-XXXX-01 will not invite the User(s) backstage for dinner and the theatre will remain dark till the dimension is reset. Continued violence to the point of damage to SCP-XXXX-01 or the SCP-XXXX-02s will result in the doors being locked to the aggressor. Even if opened by innocent Users, the aggressor will be unable to leave.
Incident XXXX-1: Dr. Miles [Redacted], Dr. Aneese [Redacted], Dr. Alexis [Redacted], and the guard, Alan [Redacted] were sent into SCP-XXXX for research. While the doctors investigated the pocket reality, Alan [Redacted] became irritated for unknown reasons and struck one of the SCP-XXXX-02s. This caused the lights to shut off and everything go silent. Dr. Aneese told Alan to hit the SCP-XXXX-02 again out of curiosity. Alan [Redacted] did so and each of the SCP-XXXX-02s and SCP-XXXX-01 turned to face him. Dr. Miles [Redacted] declared they should leave and ushered them out. When Alan [Redacted] tried to exit, he was unable to. Claiming it was like there was a wall in the doorway. Dr. Miles [Redacted] stayed with Alan [Redacted] for 2 days till his supplies were depleted. He was forced to leave Alan [Redacted] inside of SCP-XXXX alone. A private funeral for Alan [Redacted] is set for xx-xx-xxxx in the site-* break room.
