Item #: SCP-7753

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-7753 Is readily contained within a human host, with minimal hazard to host or other personnel.

SCP-7753 reportedly is capable of transitioning between persons, occupying biologically distinct hosts, however this has not been observed under laboratory conditions or during containment. Difficulties in tracking prior to containment, as well as apparent age REDACTED of present host, SCP-7753-1, indicate such a transfer has occurred twice prior to containment after initial discovery on REDACTED. See additional note (1) regarding prior hosts.

Conditions of containment may represent additional concerns beyond typical humanitarian conditions. Observation under initial containment demonstrated volatility of SCP-7753-1 in isolation, as well as increased readings of psychokinetic disturbances. It would appear that SCP-7753 is in some way preferential, or even dependent upon its proximity to creatures other than the host. See additional note (2) regarding observed behavior.

At this time it is advised that long term storage be conducted at the Humanoid Containment Site-06-3 with minimal, though non-zero, personal contact. Considerations for influence on handling staff must be made, pending further analysis. Staff engaged in observation or interaction with SCP-7753 have reported increasing sense of aversion with prolonged exposure, citing inexplicable sense of disgust and unwillingness to look at or touch SCP-7753-1.
Consideration for replacement host, in event of harm or destruction of SCP-7753-1 should begin immediately, behavior of SCP-7753 in absence of viable host is at this time unknown.

Description:
SCP-7753 is a Class 21-IDR02 Psychic Anomaly. As a Class 2 anomaly, possibility of being Cass 13 anomaly has not been eliminated. Reclassification to Class 2-IDP04 is currently under consideration.

SCP-7753-1 is a young adult Asian female, released into SCP custody from Canadian government, following detention by local authorities. Local authorities were alerted to SCP-7753-1's presence pending distressed emergency call from civilian store owner5, who demanded they get her off her premises and "put her in whatever dark hole you can throw the freak in".
Later discussion with witnesses and the store owner ubiquitously described the whole event as unpleasant, and expressed their vehement desire that the incident not be mentioned further to them or in their proximity. Store owner additionally expressed her lack or remorse at SCP-7753-1's arrest, explaining she had "no clue how she could tolerate something so revolting" working for her before today".

Observation has been unable to determine a correlation between anatomical location and the psychic presence of SCP-7753. Increased agitation and psychic activity during periods of darkness and sleep have indicated a possible association with eyes or sight. Lack of influence on SCP-7753 or on staff in proximity to containment, whilst undetectable have further reinforced this theory.

Psychokinematics of SCP-7753 are yet undetermined, adverse reaction to Hauler Sub-Immersion6 Procedure during baseline evaluations have made further observation impractical. Other less precise methods have given a relatively consistent assessment below adjusted for standard logarithmic scales. All values appear to be negatively effected by prolonged isolation. Results are maximized during exposure to subjects and staff with whom SCP-7753 has had prior, routine, or prolonged contact with.

  • Psychokinetic: 0
  • Psychoempathic: 1.7 - 3.2
  • Psychometabolic: 0.3

Present working theory is that SCP-7753 in some way derives sustenance or pleasure from negative emotions in its presence. In pursuit of this, SCP-7753 is believed to influence the perception of the host by others to be irrationally grotesque, unsanitary, and threatening. Study of Mose-Briggs anomalous conciousness patterns suggest that the effect is strongly correlated with disgust, and to a lesser extent fear. A desire to harm or destroy the SCP-7753 or SCP-7753-1 has not been recorded in any subject or staff.7. See note (3) for further details.

Addendum:
(1) Current location and status of prior hosts is undetermined, both suspected deceased. Designated SCP-7753-01 and SCP-7753-02 respectively, their containment is not considered a priority at this time pending further research. Subjects are to be collected for research if encountered or detected.

(2) Preliminary research regarding the effectiveness of non-human company is promising yet inconclusive. Initial introduction of unaltered Canis lupus familiaris reduced apparent agitation of both SCP-7753 and SCP-7753-1, the latter of which was friendly to canine specimen. Progressively, canine subject was observed as becoming increasingly averse to being near SCP-7753-1, showing signs of distress, and eventual hostility towards SCP-7753-1 resulting in termination of experiment.
(2b) Single incident from medical staff reported intense compulsion to cauterize minor wound SCP-7753-1 inflicted on itself, and feeling that the injury was grotesque and horrifying despite being only a thin laceration.

(3) Ongoing psychological profile would suggest that in the absence of another presence, SCP-7753-1 is the subject of SCP-7753's influence, perceiving itself hatefully and with revulsion. Attempts of self-harm have been documented. SCP-7753-1 is reluctant or unable to discuss these episodes unless they have occurred recently. Apparent influence may include aversion to recalling events associated with SCP-7753 and hence its difficulty in initial containment.
