The Accordion

Description:

SCP-5593 is a accordion of unknown origin. It was found in █████, Russia. It's markings date it back to the early 1400's, though it's tunes play a finer quality than any current accordion known to man. The coloring is brown, with typical white keys and black keys inbetween, though when the weapon is 'activated' the keys turn red. When the object is damaged, it tends to play a ear-deafening tone.

SCP-5593 has the memetic ability of drawing a victim near, of which happens at random. Observation has shown it prefers subjects who have hands, though this isn't necessarily always true. When a victim is drawn to it, it picks up the accordion and starts playing it. This, in turn, causes the accordion to weaponize, whereas the object's keys turn red, and the tunes start becoming dangerous. Any living beings within 10 metres of this accordion will develop intense internal hemorrhages and bleeding.

The player, hereby designated SCP-5593-A, at first, doesn't develop any symptoms themselves. However, after a rough 15 minutes, 5993-A tends to become violent, and start chasing after other living beings, whether humans or animals. If 5993-A is unable to, or incapacitated, they suffer from instant heart failure and death shortly thereafter.

Containment Procedures:

SCP-5593 should be contained in a 20 by 20m soundproof chamber with at least two layers of soundproofing. There are to be no recording instruments within the chamber. In case this is not possible, it should be stored as far away from living beings as possible.

Staff working with SCP-5593 are to have approval of one (1) level 4 scientist assigned to SCP-5593 beforehand and equip sound-cancelling headphones or other noise cancelling equipment. Security personnel are to be armed with noise-cancelling equipment.

Upon breach or existance of a 5993-A, security personnel are to incapacitate by firing at the head.
