SCP-001-A during a transferral event.

Special Containment Procedures: Due to its omnipresent and immaterial nature, absolute containment of SCP-001 is impossible at this time. As such, containment is maintained via containment of SCP items as they are discovered. Containment is the sole priority of the SCP Foundation as established by the Contra-Anomaly Convention. The Overseer Council is to oversee all Foundation activity and ensure all containable entities are as such contained.

SCP-001 has been assigned as Proelefsi class. The Proelefsi class was established by the Overseer Council at the Contra-Anomaly Convention to describe a possible source of all anomalous phenomena. As a Proelefsi-class anomaly cannot itself be contained, focus is put on containing any anomalies derived from it.

Information regarding SCP-001 is to be regulated as closely as possible. Protocol-001-Alpha, established as such, authorizes the following procedures:

Several documents are to be created posing as official documentation of SCP-001, including documentation regarding anomalies which do exist or do not exist.
All documents regarding SCP-001, including falsified documents, are to be protected by a memetic kill agent intended to cause immediate cardiac arrest in any unauthorized personnel.
SCP-001 is not to be referred to in official documentation for the sake of preventing information leakage.

MTF Alpha-0 "Critical Hit" is to remain within SCP-001 in order to establish containment procedures for newly discovered SCP-001-X instances. SCP-001-X instances are to be studied, classified, and evaluated as to create adequate containment procedures. Once the possibility of containment has been confirmed, SCP-001-X instances are to be transferred to mainline reality in order to prevent drastic alteration.

SCP-001-A is not to be accessed without authorization by the O5 Council and the Administrator.

Description: SCP-001 is an omnipresent space-time anomaly causing random transportation of objects between planes of reality. Objects originating from SCP-001 activity consistently show decreasing Hume levels compared to most objects, but slowly increase in Hume over time to a stable level. SCP-001 is hypothesized to be the source of all anomalous objects that are currently contained by the SCP Foundation. SCP-001's effects are currently concentrated at SCP-001-A.

SCP-001-A is a cave located in a bay at Cabo, San Lucas. Any object that stands within SCP-001-A for an amount of time will trigger a transferal event. During a transferal event. SCP-001-A will illuminate and produce rings of extratemporal energy, allowing for travel between SCP-001-A and SCP-001-B. The amount of time required to trigger a transferal event can range between 13 seconds and 7 minutes.

SCP-001-B is a separate plane of reality, similar to the mainline reality but with deviations in the form of an increase in anomalous activity and an extraordinarily low Hume level. [CONT]
