Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX must be kept in two 50 m x 50 m x 50 m cells comprised of [REDACTED]. video surveillance is to be made at all times No form of visual surveillance is to be made with the entity, all surveillance must be recorded from audio. As entity does not require any form of oxygen nor any form of light containment cell is comprised of three doors (a link between primary cell and secondary cell and two doors on each cell for maintenance crews to enter). Maintenance doors are to be placed on the top of SCP-XXXXs containment to ensure breach does not occur.

SCP-XXXX's containment needs to be repaired every two weeks any and all markings on entity's walls must be photographed before repair. entity will be moved between both cells to achieve this.

Description: SCP-XXXX has been described as a humanoid creature with long fingers and no facial features, subject shows no signs of sight or hearing, while having no known form of eyes it can always "see", the way this entity sees is still unknown but is believed to be taste as its main form of "sight". subject's face is always described as always smiling. Subject's skin is made up of [DATA EXPUNGED].

If subject is viewed in any way through video, picture or personal sight it has said to induce an overwhelming sense of dread that eventually lead to[DATA EXPUNGED], drawings that D-Class test subjects have made before [REDACTED] seem to be the only safe way to view this creature. Any communication made with the entity is always met with gurgling and snapping sounds the entity makes while it moves, thus leading to the notion that SCP-XXXX cannot communicate verbally, however, SCP-XXXX seems to only be able to communicate from markings it makes on the walls of its containment cell, these markings are still of an unknown language. The entity dosn’t require nutrition in any form, food and water that have been left in its containment cells are left untouched by the entity meaning that SCP-XXXX does not hunt for for food.

** Sight Test 096:**

[Requesting permission to test SCP-XXXX's sight on SCP-096]

[Permission granted]

Test 096 - 23/09/████
Subject: SCP-XXXX was put a room with SCP-096 to test if the subject had any form of sight.
Procedure: A Class-D was to carry SCP-XXXX to test room █ along with SCP-096 while following 096 procedures.
Results: After 6 weeks of testing no noticeable effects on either entity that was recorded though audio, behavior of both 096 and XXXX where normal

Analysis: 096 could not attack XXXX because of lack of eyes determining that this entity is blind and cannot see therefore is using another source to be able to see, the reason XXXX did not attack 096 is still unknown XXXX did not attack 096 is because it has some form of connection with the other SCP's (See test 173)

Audio log from Interview XXXX First-Encounter:

Interviewer: Dr. Abraham Ludwig
Interviewed: Private ██████, former member of contact team Sierra 5-B

<Begin Log>

[██████ ████████ Time, Research Area ██]

Dr. Ludwig: We're rolling

Pvt. ██████: I don't even know where to start

Dr. ludwig: well. if you could start at the beginning of the mission?

Pvt. ██████: [Pauses] Okay. Well we where all in the chopper heading out to where the target was last located, in [REDACTED] Africa when Sargent ███████ started acting really weird…

Dr. Ludwig: Weird in what way?

Pvt. ██████: [looks down] his face, it was… pale, whiter then snow, I had never seen him so scared in my life. Hes always been the top man of the group even when threatened with a bullet to the foot, but this, this wasn't the same man i knew

Dr. Ludwig: Okay. What happened then?

Pvt. ██████: He started freaking out, tried to [REDACTED]. we landed the chopper 2 miles away from the checkpoint as we pinned him to the ground and tried to settle him. then Lieutenant ███████ started acting the same way only he actually did it, one by one they all started freaking out and [REDACTED]. it was just me and Private ███████ left and all we could do was close our eyes and try to forget about what was happening. Ultimately that's what saved us. had we all have known that before we got sent out… [ Pvt. ██████ starts crying]

Dr. Ludwig: the mission briefing we had given you hadn't been updated. By the time we sent the updated one you and your team where already on their way

Pvt. ██████: [pauses and looks at Dr. ████] You knew?

Dr. Ludwig: I'm sorry. we tried to…

Pvt. ██████: [stand's up, sound of fists hitting the table] YOU KNEW AND DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO SEND ANOTHER TEAM AFTER US?! SO WHAT?! AM I TO BELIEVE THAT ALL OF THE OTHER TEAMS ARE EXPENDABLE?! THAT WE DON'T EVEN [REDACTED] CARE TO YOU [REDACTED]

Dr. Ludwig: [sighs and stands up] i think that's all the time we have [Leaves the room]

Pvt. ██████: NO YOU GET BACK IN HERE AND!..

[Sound of monitor]

Pvt. ██████: Wha… what is that? oh god No. NO NO NO!!!

[sounds of [REDACTED] as Pvt. ██████ begins to [REDACTED]

<End Log>

** Sight Test 173:**

[Requesting permission to test SCP-XXXX's survival SCP-173]

[Permission granted]

SCP-XXXX was put in 173's containment to see how long XXXX could survive for.
Procedure: A Class-D was to carry XXXX to 173's containment while following 173 containment procedures.

Results: After 6 weeks of testing no noticeable effects on either entity was recorded though audio, 173 and XXXX continued normal behavior.

Analysis: SCP-XXXX seems to be connected to other SCP's in the foundation. XXXX being blind meant that 173 should have killed it. further testing is required

Addendum:

Containment Breaches

SCP-XXXX has had a number of successful breaches. Breaches from the entity are always at random but always the same. If containment routines are not kept entity will scratch its way through its containment allowing it to successfully breach

a total of [DATA EXPUNGED] casualties have been recorded from all of its breaches including public casualties. the shortest breach time the subject has had has been over 7 weeks whereas the longest breach time has been [REDACTED].
