Special Containment Procedures:
Though it is not of priority, SCP-5456 must be contained in at least a Level 3 Dimensional Containment Area to prevent possible time-space anomalies. SCP-5456 is contained in Dim. Containment Area-179 alongside SCP-2317 (no special connection).

Description:
SCP-5456 is an ever-changing and sentient door and doorframe. Its construction was [REDACTED]. Its history was [REDACTED]. SCP-5456 has the innate ability to lead to any point in Time and Space, as well as, travel itself. It has consciousness and intelligence that far exceeds any SCP as of (12/31/19██). Despite SCP-5456’s vast intelligence, it is quite curious of SCP, or the Foundation and has allowed us to house and experiment on it.

SCP-5456 isn’t directly dangerous nor does SCP-5456 have any qualms with any living beings including other SCPs. SCP-5456 will be under the supervision and control of Dr. B█████. SCP-5456 is being used under “Operation: Back-and-Forth Again” headed by Dr. B█████ and Federation Field Agent Terry Winchester. Because of Operation: Back-and-Forth Again, the Staff of Area-179 have adopted “Back-and-Forth Again” as SCP-5456’s colloquial name, as well as, “Solomon’s Gate” (for an unspecified reason).

Operation: Back-and-Forth Again is a mission instated by 3 Level 5 and higher Federation Organizers. The Operation utilizes SCP-5456’s abilities to change history and avoid SCP threats. Though Operation: Back-and-Forth Again has been initiated, it’s in the interests of the Foundation to further research SCP-5456 before any history altering. Only trusted subjects chosen by Agent Winchester took part in any and all experiments conducted by Dr. B█████.

Experiment 5456-01:

D-8291- So what I gotta do, Doc.?
Dr. B█████ - Ask SCP-5456 to travel eight minutes into the future.
(D-8291 asks SCP-5456 as instructed.)
SCP-5456 – Very well. Enter.
D-8291 – Ok…See you soon, Doc.
(D-8291 Enters SCP-5456. Seven Minutes Later…)
(D-8291 Exits SCP-5456.)
Dr. B█████ – How do you feel, D-8291? Did your translocation feel immediate?
D-8291 – I don’t feel any different and I came here immediately as if going through a normal door.
(D-8291’s vitals analyzed).
Result/Notes: No physical or mental changes to Subject. Translocation is immediate to the subject when traversing through time. When traversing a set amount of time, Subject traverses that time from the point they ask, not when they enter.

Experiment 5456-02:
D-8291 – You still need me?
Dr. B█████ – Ask SCP-5456 to go back in time to when I asked you to go to the future.
D-8291- okay…
(D-8291 does as instructed.)
SCP-5456 – I cannot do this.
D-8291 – Doc?
Dr. B█████ – hmmm. D-8291, you are done for the day.
(D-8291 leaves.)
Dr. B█████ – SCP-5456, why weren’t you able to send the subject to the past?
SCP-5456 – It is because the entity exists then. I am able to send the entity there. Except…
Dr. B█████ – Except what?
SCP-5456 - If I am to be completely honest, it would cause both the indigenous entity and the introduced to collide.
Dr. B█████ – And that would…cause the entity to cease, wouldn’t it?
SCP-5456 – Indeed. But it also may cause a burst of residual energy to which other historical events may alter. Though significance of the event might be menial, the change caused will have a butterfly effect.
Result/Notes: History altering is banned. I, Dr. B█████, hope that we can take advantage of SCP-5456’s translocation via Space.

Experiment 5456-03:
Dr. B█████ – Send him in.

D-6279 – I’m ready.
Dr. B█████ – Excellent. Ask SCP-5456 to send you outside of SCP-2317’s containment.

SCP-5456 – I cannot comply.

Dr. B█████ – What’s the issue now, SCP-5456?
SCP-5456 – I am unable to target an area that houses a comparable entity to myself. My ability of space-manipulation.
Dr. B█████ – You mean SCP-2317? Are there any other SCPs I have to worry about interacting with you?
SCP-5456 – Yes. Please keep the one known as “Blue Key” away from myself.
Dr. B█████ – Blue Key? You mean SCP-860? Why?
SCP-5456 – Yes. Yes. That one is able to tamper with my body and may cause a space-time distortion of equal value to a black hole if it were to access me.
Dr. B█████ – I see.
Result/Notes: SCP-5456 is unable to target an area near a space-manipulating entity. SCP-860, or the Blue Key, is banned from Area-179. The moving of SCP-860 to SCP-5456 requires 10 signatures from Level 5 Foundation Organizers. I received permission from my superiors to continue testing, but with myself and SCPs as subjects. By all means, I will not be using SCP-860.

Experiment 5456-04:
(Dr. B█████ enters SCP-5456 containment.)
Dr. B█████ – It seems like you directly give me all info I require when I ask. SCP-5456, are you able to help us combat violent SCPs, such as, SCP-173, SCP-049, etc.?
SCP-5456 – If the situation permits it.
Dr. B█████ – Excuse me….what do you mean?
SCP-5456 – As long as they’re not a space-manipulating entity, I can help send them to a specified location that they’ve been before. Also I would like to know if there are plans to eliminate the Blue Key. The “Bloody Key” and “Skeleton Key” are also unsafe to me.
Dr. B█████ – There are no such plans. SCPs 860, 005, and 1016 will remain in their respective containment areas. You don’t have to worry.
SCP-5456 – I understand.
(SCP-5456 disappears for Five minutes and returns.)
Dr. B█████ – What did you do?
SCP-5456 – Nothing of note.
Result/Notes: SCP-5456’s paranoia of keys is only matched by key-like SCPs. I still haven’t questioned SCP-5456 on its strange keyhole or where it went.

Document #5456-S: The Prohibited Use of SCP-5456 by 2 Assistant Scientists assigned to Area-179’s SCP-2317 and SCP-061’s Support Group

During the suspended use of SCP-5456 and SCP-061, as well as, the paid vacation time of Dr. B█████, Assisting Scientists Jacob Donnelly and Korbin P. Allen entered the Containment area of SCP-5456 with SCP-061 in tow. They equipped noise-cancelling Headphones and proceeded to take control of SCP-5456 using SCP-061. They ordered SCP-5456 to take them back to their college years in Cal Tech. It was discovered recently they took part in underhanded tactics to graduate. They succeeded in going back in time. Jacob Donnelly met with his former self and became nonexistent. Luckily, SCP-5456 helped explain some of the situation. Assistant Scientist Korbin P. Allen received Level 6 Punishment, as well as, undetermined leave and constant watch by the Foundation (which has many unanswered questions of the incident).

Document #5456-X: The Failed and [EXPUNGED] Experiment 5456-05 where a D Class assigned to SCP-5456 came back with multiple psychological traumas, least of which is PTSD.

During the Experimental testing of SCP-5456, Dr. B█████ was interested in accessing the distant future, even though Field Agent Winchester disapproved of attempting this, the good Doctor continued. The D Class, D-7███, was used in this experiment and had signed extra paperwork to take part in such a rigorous test. The D Class was instructed by the doctor to go three-hundred years in the future, live there for ten years and return one minute after traversing the three-hundred years. It had worked without a hitch. D-7███ returned, but at what cost? The D Class returned with Type 1 Experience Trauma, Type 2 PTSD, Severe trauma to the major nervous systems including peripheral paralysis to the forearms, as well as, paranoia and slight psychosis. I don't know what happened and can't seem to get the information out of SCP-5456 or the D Class. This failure gave me ample reason to put testing on ice for 1 year.
