SCP-XXXX The Forgetter

item: SCP-XXXX

object class: safe

special containment procedures:
due to the nature of SCP-XXXX there are no special containment procedures, but it should atleast have adequite room to move, and somewhat of an basic-recidence-like interior.

description:
SCP-XXXX is an 30 year old male, which at birth was diagnosed with Alzheimer altough no physical tests have yielded any signs of the brain being deterred in any way. the entity has trouble remembering simple things, such as how to walk, which is most likely due to it's anomalus powers. this effect seems to affect the mind of SCP-XXXX, making it extremely docile. it has not yet showed any signs of agression, and is very cooperative. therefore no escape attempts has been made, and there will likely be none. when a subject attempts preforming an task that involves SCP-XXXX the subject often forget what the task was. this effect is displayed in every living being tested with SCP-XXXX so far. this effect makes it extremely difficult to do research on the entity, altough with extreme amounts of determination and willpower it is possible to complete the task.
note that any physical damage dealt to SCP-XXXX is ''forgotten'', in an yet unexplained manner. this anomalous effect suggests an possible reality bending ''immunity'', as the event seems to never have occured. (see test log 2).
regarding the ''forget what you were doing'' effect, writing down information is an effective countermeasure against the effect, as paper and ink does not forget. SCP-XXXX seems to enjoy trying to learn new things (although as previosly stated it is an impossible task) and there is no reason why anyone should restrict it against doing so. SCP-XXXX can be visited by any staff member above clearance level 2 at any time, although preferably only in lunch breaks.

addendum 1:
cross testing with SCP-096:

overseer: dr. ███████

at 00:00, a picture of SCP-096 was introduced into SCP-XXXX's chamber.

at 00:25, SCP-XXXX notices the picture.

at 00:30, SCP-096 goes into the enraged state.

at 01:00, SCP-096 breaks containment, and is being tracked VIA. sattelite.

at 01:30, SCP-096 reaches the containment cell of SCP-XXXX.

at 01:31, SCP-096 stops all movement, and seems to be in extreme psycological trauma.

at 01:40, SCP-XXXX exits his cell VIA an hole SCP-096 made in the exterior wall.

at 01:42, SCP-XXXX attempts to introduce itself to SCP-096.

at 01:43 SCP-096 begins to cry.

at 02:50 mobile task force zulu-19 successfully ''bags'' SCP-096.

note: SCP-XXXX's anomalus effect appeared to only activate after SCP-096 had reached approx. 2 meter's distance from SCP-XXXX. this test also confirmed that SCP-096's mental capacity was either too weak to stop SCP-XXXX's effect from ''activating'', or it has no higher brain function at all, and is simply following instincts.

test log 1:
testing if SCP-XXXX can sustain an bullet wound. medical agent standing by.

overseer: dr. ███████
volunteer(s): agent ████ codename ''bullseye'', and medical agent ████.

agent ████ is instructed to unload an round from his sidearm into SCP-XXXX's knee.

SCP-XXXX's anomalous effect prevented agent ████ from preforming said task.

note: in further tests i suggest using automated robotic instruments.

test log 2:
in test log 1 i proposed an idea about using automated robotics, and in this test we will preform another test to see if SCP-XXXX can sustain bullet wounds.

overseer: dr. ███████

XO-16 C.A.O.S. automated robotics system (MK.16 20.mm controlled automatic offence system) introduced into SCP-XXXX's chamber, targeting non-lethal targets in SCP-XXXX's legs.

SCP-XXXX is not harmed by the shot, nor does any survaillance system pick up the actual impact of the shot, although every other system would indicate otherwise. audio equipment recorded the shot, and the magazine in the XO-16 system had one less bullet. also none of the researchers overseeing the event nor SCP-XXXX remembers there being an acual shot fired.

addendum 2:
cross testing with SCP-055.

overseer: dr. ███████

SCP-XXXX is instructed to describe what SCP-055 looks like. the following is an audio recording of this event.

*begin log.*

dr. ███████: could you describe what you saw in the containment chamber of SCP-055?

SCP-XXXX: hello! do i know you?

dr. ███████:yes. now, could you please describe the object inside the containment chamber?

SCP-XXXX: have i been in there? why, i don't remember even going inside, good sir!

dr. ███████: oh well. i should have seen that coming.

note: i honestly did not know what to expect. his anomalous effect obviously deleted the memory of ever seing the object.

addendum 3:
cross testing with SCP—J

declined by 05 command.

note: i understand the 05's decision, the mind altering effect of SCP—J could have resulted in ███████████████. there is no telling what could have happened, so it's best not to find out.

addendum 4:
cross testing with SCP-004-J

overseer: dr. ███████

Class-D 1201 provided for testing.

*begin log.*

D-1201 exposed to SCP-004-J's effects then introduced into SCP-XXXX's chamber.

D-1201 is tasked with filling out some economical papers.

D-1201 writes economically perfect data on the two first of the 5 provided papers.

SCP-XXXX tries to communicate with D-1201, wich causes him to lose interest in the papers and begins talking in the usual forgetting manner we see in most subjects.

D-1201 is instructed to continue to write on the economilcal papers.

SCP-XXXX sits down at an nearby chair and begins reading, as to not disturbe D-1201.

D-1201 seems to struggle writing out the last 3 papers.

note: apparently we have found a ''cure'' for SCP-004-J's anomalous effect. SCP-XXXX's effects apparently are somehow stronger than 004-J's.

personal note: as previous tests and experience has shown, i appear to be the only person so far to be tested with SCP-XXXX and not suffer from the anomalous effects. the most apparent addendum this can be noted is definetly in addendum 2. at the time, i did not even think over it, but i managed to talk completely cassually with SCP-XXXX without suffering from the effects.
