Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4XXX is technically uncontainable due to its anomalous traits. Being transported has been found to be extremely difficult to manipulate making testing difficult. Therefore any information acquired from within SCP-4XXX is extremely valuable. There is no 100% way to prevent from being transported. However, there are some strategies that have been found to help decrease the chances of being transported into an instance of SCP-4XXX.
*People who know of the existence of SCP-4XXX or even someone who does have a higher chance of being transported. Therefore anyone working with SCP-4XXX should take amnestics to prevent this. (Note that this will not 100% prevent being transported but will decrease the chance.)
*Since to be transported someone must have experienced significant pain recently, anyone who has been injured recently should abstain from traveling.
*Travel in multiple vehicles if possible.
To help prevent instances of SCP-4XXX in public settings the Foundation has created a special protocol to assist in locating people who have been transported. All missing person lists are investigated daily by researchers to possibly find new information.
Description: SCP-4XXX is an infinite (or seemingly infinite) stretch of interconnected roads and streets with multiple anomalous properties. There are three criteria that must be met for someone to be transported into an instance of SCP-4XXX.
- They must be riding in or on a motorized vehicle.
- They must be the only vehicle in sight.
- Anyone inside the vehicle must have experienced some form of significant pain within the past 72 hours.
The most prominent anomalous factor of SCP-4XXX its infinitely generated road. For as long as anyone continues to travel down the road it will continue growing as the road changes in many ways. The roads that make up SCP-4XXX are extremely similar to actual roads across the world except for some minor differences such as signs and markers along the road. Some roads are similar to that of curving mountain paths while others take on the appearance of multi-lane highways. Along both sides of the road is a forest filled with a variety of different trees. The forest will always be along the sides of the road even in instances where it would not make sense for it to exist.
Within these forests are multiple unknown and seemingly dangerous creatures that cannot be seen directly as they hide within the trees. However, they will continually watch anyone who goes along the road until their eventual death. They will never leave this forest and the creatures differ in body shape and size. Because of the danger these creatures pose going into the forest is nothing short of suicide.

The most dangerous aspect of SCP-4XXX is a tall black creature about 3 meters tall with long emaciated arms and legs. This creature is referred to as SCP-4XXX-2. The creature crawls across the ground on its arms and legs and will continually chase after anyone on the road. If it catches someone it will [REDACTED]. Any attacks made against it fail as it is extremely hard to damage and any damage caused is healed quickly.
