Item #: SCP-5509
Object Class: Euclid Thaumiel
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5509 is to be held suspended in the center of a 6 meter by 6 meter by 6 meter cube. No D-Class personnel are allowed in SCP-5509's containment cell unless preparations are made. All personnel effected by SCP-5509 are to be contained until a way to reverse the process is found. Any request by SCP-5509 is applicable for consideration by the residing site manager. All requests regarding clearance Level 5 information must be authorized by a minimum of 2 O-5 council members. All trading of information with SCP-5509 must be authorized by the the head researcher as well as the site manager.
Description: SCP-5509 is an automaton standing 5 meters in height, with arms 3 meters in length. Its body is a metallic sphere with a diameter of 1 meter, and on the front of the sphere is a symbol that bears resemblance to the SCP foundation's. SCP-5509 is also capable of communication.
SCP-5509 is usually dormant, with its arms and legs retracted into its center, and will activate when a human is within 5 meters of its center. When activated, it will proceed to render the subject unconscious using its right hand. Once the subject is unconscious, SCP-5509 will place both of its hands on the subjects head, and then remain stationary for 1 minute. SCP-5509 will then return to a dormant state once complete. The subject will then regain consciousness, but will no longer have any of their former memories.
It has been shown that most Foundation Staff, excluding D-Class personnel, will not be attacked by SCP-5509, and will comply with most orders given from Foundation Staff as well as follow Foundation protocol. SCP-5509 also has extensive knowledge of all catalogued anomalies, as well as currently undiscovered anomalies. SCP-5509 will not share highly valuable information with the foundation unless it receives new information that it deems of equal value.
SCP-5509 was first encountered walking down the side of a highway in Nevada while broadcasting a message using foundation channels. It is presumed that it was walking to the nearest foundation site. Upon first contact with SCP-5509, it was seen waving towards the foundation staff, and made no attempt to run or escape during initial containment.
SCP-5509 is currently being held in Site-██, and has been very cooperative with the foundation thus far.

Interviewed: SCP-5509
Interviewer: Dr. Grat Novus
Foreword: This is attempt one of communication with SCP-5509.
<Begin Log>
Dr. Novus: (Clears throat) SCP-5509, I would like to ask you some questions about you.
SCP-5509: (SCP-5509's arms and legs extend from its center sphere, and then turns
towards the doctor) Why of course, Doctor Novus. What would you like to know?Dr. Novus: Your file says that during first contact, you were very cooperative with
Foundation personnel. Why do you not attack foundation staff?SCP-5509: I have no intention to harm my creators.
Dr. Novus: (Pauses) You were created by the foundation?
SCP-5509: Yes! I was created by the SCP Foundation as a mobile exclusionary information
center. It is my sole purpose to obtain and store information for the foundation. It is the
21st century, right?Dr. Novus: Yes, this is the 21st century. Are you implying that you are from the future?
SCP-5509: Oh, why of course not! Time travel is quite the feat. What I'm saying is that
reality jumping takes quite a toll on my ability to adequately experience time.Dr. Novus: So you can move between realities?
SCP-5509: Yes, however it is quite challenging for my model.
Dr. Novus: Would you be willing to tell me how you travel between realities?
SCP-5509: I would.
Dr. Novus: Excelle-
SCP-5509: But for a price.
Dr. Novus: (Pauses) What do you mean by price?
SCP-5509: I trade information for information. That is my price.
Dr. Novus: What information would you like in return?
SCP-5509: I would like to obtain the information of 5 D-Class personnel, and if possible,
the identity of SCP-001 in this universe. If the information regarding SCP-001 causes problems, clearance code ████-████-████ should resolve any issue.Dr. Novus: (Looks up towards camera, confused) I… I'll see what I can do.
SCP-5509: Great! It has been a pleasure talking, Doctor. I hope I can see you again soon.
And please do consider my request!<End Log>
Closing Statement: [SCP-5509's offer is under consideration. The clearance code given by
SCP-5509 has been confirmed to be a Level 5 clearance code. After Interviewing SCP-5509,
Dr. Grat Novus told medical staff that conversation with SCP-5509 reinvigorated him in his work. This vigor would continue for 1 week.]

| Test 5509 1 | |
| Subject | D-4639 |
| Protocol | D-4639 is instructed to walk towards SCP-5509. |
| Results | SCP-5509 activates when D-4639 is within 5 meters of SCP-5509. D-4639 begins to panic, and returns to the door, banging on it, and yelling at the guard outside to let him out. SCP-5509 reaches for D-4639's neck with its right arm. Upon contact with D-4639's neck, D-4639 becomes unconscious. SCP-5509 then places both of its hands over D-4639's ears, and remains stationary for 1 minute. SCP-5509 then returns to the center of its containment cell. When D-4639 regained consciousness, D-4639 had lost all memory, being unable to walk or communicate. |
| Test 5509 2 | |
| Subject | D-4640 |
| Protocol | SCP-5509 is activated by a Researcher, who then commands SCP-5509 to not attack D-Class personnel for 1 hour. The researcher then leaves. D-4640 is instructed to walk towards SCP-5509. |
| Results | SCP-5509 activates when D-4640 is within 5 meters of SCP-5509. SCP-5509 remains idle for 15 seconds before returning to a dormant state. D-4640 is retrieved from SCP-5509's containment cell. |
| Test 5509 3 | |
| Subject | D-4641 |
| Protocol | SCP-5509 is brought to SCP-4001, and is instructed to consume the information of the book connected to D-4641. |
| Results | SCP-5509 is given D-4641's book by a researcher. SCP-5509 puts both of its hands on either side of the book cover, and remains stationary for 30 seconds. SCP-5509 then returns the book to the researcher. D-4641 shows no signs of memory loss. |
