Special Containment Procedures: Only personnel with
level 3 clearance are allowed to access SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX
is to be hidden from all light sources, and all eye contact must be avoided
as much as possible. SCP-XXXX must be kept in a metal rectangular cube being the size
of 5 x 5 x 7 inches set upon a metal pressure plate that acts as a sensor to
ensure containment.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a golden bronze statue with
a cylinder-like base with a bronze eyeball laid upon the top,
In an inactive state the eyeball will be shut with what appears to be
eyelids, it is currently unknown where these eyelids manifest from.
The statue which upon multiple inspections it is theorized that it was originally constructed
sometime in the 1920s. SCP-XXXX when observed, will open its eye and stare
at the subject viewing it, it will refuse to break eye contact with them
and during this the subject will experience multiple symptoms eventually leading
up to cardiac arrest and then death (Note: no hazardous effects have been observed
through digital and physical photographs though such do malfunction if facing
in its general direction.) the list follows below.

The subject will experience the following symptoms in chronological order.

  • Extreme feelings of paranoia.
  • A heavy feeling in the chest area.
  • Emotions amplified by 40%.
  • Auditory and visual hallucinations.
  • Following after death.

After first glance beginning the anomalous effects of SCP-XXXX,
the subject will feel extreme urge to stare back at SCP-XXXX,
this will continue until the subject manages to get far away
enough (4 meters) or manages to obstruct their view such
as shutting their eyes, etc.
