Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX specimens are to be contained within cells of a minimum 15mx15mx5m, as well as a layer of dirt at least 0.5 meters deep. Aside from testing circumstances, the light within the SCP-XXXX containment cell is to be either red or pink. A living sheep or deer is to be supplied to SCP-XXXX instances as needed, as they can feed on a single carcass for periods of time ranging from one to three weeks.

If SCP-XXXX ever attempts to attack individuals or breach containment, it is to be immediately bathed in yellow light.

Description: SCP-XXXX is composed of three known and documented containment instances, allocated as SCP-XXXX-1, SCP-XXXX-2, and SCP-XXXX-3. SCP-XXXX resemble giant deer skeletons with black flesh covering the bone, and every other vertebrae of the spinal column having a length ranging from 7.5cm-15cm, length reducing as it moves away from the head, each ending at a sharp point that faces away from the back of SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX have a sight/movement response similar to that of amphibians. While SCP-XXXX will still be aware of unmoving objects, and will most likely react to them, it is more likely that they will attack moving or recently-moving objects.

SCP-XXXX will have both possible sight-effecting and emotional reactions to light based on color:

  • Red: Produces a calming effect on SCP-XXXX while enveloped within it, as well as possibly blinding SCP-XXXX. Blind effect is as of yet unconfirmed because lack of attack may simply be caused by emotional response.
  • Pink/Purple/Orange: Similar response as to red light, although to a lesser degree. Individuals asked to describe SCP-XXXX's actions while in pink, purple, or orange light often relate it to 'Sleepy confusion'.
  • Blue/Green: Aggravates SCP-XXXX, although it will typically attack the light source, not nearby animals.
  • Yellow: Induces sleepiness in SCP-XXXX, as well as partially blinding it. Yellow light is believed to affect SCP-XXXX in this way because they are nocturnal predators.

SCP-XXXX utilize their appearance for hunting, sleeping, and camouflage. While standing and remaining still, SCP-XXXX resembles a leafless or deceased tree. SCP-XXXX retains this posture while asleep, if it is aware of prey in its vicinity, or if it is hungry.

SCP-XXXX-1 is male. While bipedal, it has a height of 2.9m, and a height of 2m while quadrupedal. SCP-XXXX-1 weighs 213kg.

SCP-XXXX-2 is female. It has a height of 4m while bipedal, and a height of 3m while quadrupedal. SCP-XXXX-2 weighs 230kg. As well as being larger than both male specimens of SCP-XXXX exhibits sexual dimorphism in the five horns protruding from its face, running in a line from the nose to the top of the skull, as well as the fact that it has larger antlers than the male SCP-XXXX.

SCP-XXXX-3 is male, and thought to be the offspring of SCP-XXXX-2. It has a height of 3.2m while bipedal, and a height of 2.3m while quadrupedal. It weighs 178kg. Its lesser weight than SCP-XXXX-1 is attributed to the fact that it is not yet mature (Shown by the fact that SCP-XXXX-3 was still traveling with its mother at time of containment). This includes the possibility that SCP-XXXX-3 recently experienced an increase in growth, and has not yet gained in weight to match with its height.

Addendum-XXXX.1: Containment

  • SCP-XXXX-1 was contained in 2015 near █████, ██ after several reports of smashed lights containing green bulbs in heavily wooded areas, and several missing persons reports.
  • SCP-XXXX-2 and SCP-XXXX-3 were in contained in 2017 near ██████ ████, ██, after similar reports.
