Special Containment Procedures: Armed Mobile Task Force Nu-67 ("Tech Busters") is to remain stationed outside of the entrance to SCP-XXXX. The task force is to be equipped with explosive and EMP munitions. SCP-XXXX-A instances that exit from SCP-XXXX are to be neutralized and the remains be sent to Site-10 for analysis.
The signal broadcast emanating from SCP-XXXX has a low range so a 20 meter perimeter is to be fenced off. In the event the range of the broadcast increases, usage of Class B frequency dampeners is approved. The cover-up story of the broadcast when needed is to be that it is simply from a local radio station. Details of the cover-up story can be found in Document B-XXXX.
Exploration is to be approved by Level 4 personnel and be performed by drone equipped with emergency detonation. Unauthorized personnel that enter SCP-XXXX are to be considered irretrievable.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an abandoned mine located in New Mexico. The mine is extradimensional within and contains various tunnels. It is inhabited by SCP-XXXX-A instances.
SCP-XXXX-A refers to various sapient machinery and mechanical entities. Entities are able to grant sapience to other machinery, which would seek to enter SCP-XXXX. Instances are hostile and some entities possess technologically advance weaponry. See Document XXXX-G for a list of weapons possessed by previously encountered instances. Instances are found to also attempt to incorporate technology they recover into them or construct new instances.
From SCP-XXXX, a radio broadcast emanates from it. The nature of the broadcast has shown no anomalous properties as of yet. The content of the broadcast has been solely music thus far. The music genre produced has been classical, electronic, ambient, and instrumental. At times during the broadcast after long intervals, it would be interrupted with a message. The message is "Please stand-by." which is repeated in various character encoded forms under two minutes.1 Afterwards, the broadcast resumes playing music.
SCP-XXXX came to Foundation attention when Research Area-41's Robotics Wing was breached by a -A instance resembling a cephalopod. It connected to multiple projects which lead to the facility being under lockdown. The -A instances managed to escape the facility and traveled to SCP-XXXX, which was discovered due to planted tracking chips in the event of espionage.
