Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is kept at Site-15 within a test chamber which is being used as its containment area. SCP-XXXX is to remain inactive, and the incantation that activates its properties are to be kept in the safe of the Project Director. Level 4 personnel are allowed to submit requests for the Project Director for access to the incantation for testing and exploration.
When SCP-XXXX is active, a security team is to be present and be equipped with incendiary weapons. Any organism that exists from SCP-XXXX is to be neutralized.
Only drones will be used to enter into SCP-XXXX. Upon return, the drone is not to be physically contacted without wearing a hazmat suit. The drone is to be inspected for any contamination and be sterilized.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a crescent-shaped organism fixated to a large 8 x 8 meter stone platform. The platform is 1.4 meters thick with two wooden poles on the sides. Engravings depicting various humanoid entities and Daeva script are also present on the sides of the platform. SCP-XXXX has a fleshy appearance with areas covered in chitin. Small pieces of bone and enamel protrude inward into its crescent shape. On the left side, SCP-XXXX has a large orange-red eye that has a vertical slit pupil. DNA analysis of SCP-XXXX has revealed it to be entirely human.
SCP-XXXX stays in a dormant state where it would appear to be atrophied. Closer inspection has shown the cells to still be alive deep within SCP-XXXX as it is covered in a layer of hardened protein. SCP-XXXX would exit from dormancy by someone saying a thaumaturgic incantation that was recovered along with it (See Addendum).
When in its active state, SCP-XXXX will cease to appear atrophied for the layer of hardened protein dissolves. It would produce a barely audible groan, and manifest a portal within its crescent shape. The portal has a diameter of 2.5 meters, and it touches the inner edges of SCP-XXXX.
The other side of the portal leads to another reality. Testing conducted with drones has shown the environment on the other side to be similar to ours, except it is seemingly desolate. Unknown organisms have been found but are sparse. These organisms vary in appearance
Addendum 01: The following where recovered from a journal belonging to the human skeletal remains of an unknown individual. The skeleton was located 7 meters away from the portal, and it appears to have been charred. The journal was located in a partially torn backpack laying near the remains. Besides the journal, the backpack contained a combat knife, an empty flask, various ammunition, a lighter, a compass, and a sawed-off double barrel shotgun.
Some pages of the journal are missing or too damaged to read.
I woke up in a lab of sorts. I don't know where I am exactly or how I got here. There is nobody here except me. My head aches a bit.
I don't have a clue what the date is. There was an outdated calendar that had the year 2005, but last I checked it was 2014. That's what I remember at least.
So I explored this place and a sign states I am on "Sub Level 3". I think it is a military place of sorts. I found a mostly empty armory, and a hangar. There are some doors I can't get pass. I managed to find some stairs
I kind of regret leaving the underground base or whatever the hell it was. Everything looks dead out here. I also feel a little sick, and it smells like something was burning. I'm starting to wonder if this is hell or something. Did the apocalypse happen? I don't remember much with how I got here, and this place is eerie. I'll just keep walking and update if there is anything interesting.
