Description: SCP-XXXX is a 24-page broadsheet newspaper that has an average of seventy (70) articles daily. It is located in Washington D.C.
There is no news agency currently registered with this newspaper, and there is no company that has records of printing it. It appears in newsstands without a trace as to how it got there. There have been some online discussions of people finding copies of SCP-XXXX.
SCP-XXXX's name changes with seemingly no interval. It was found with the name, The Washington Parable, which lasted for twenty-two (22) or more days. Its name then became The Washington Newsletter on Feb. 26, 20██, which lasted for two (2) days. Then it was The Washington Informal on Feb. 28, 20██, which lasted for three-hundred twenty-four days (332). On Jan. 26, 20██, it became The Washington ███████, which it has remained.
An article on April ██, 20██, gave an inside-look on the news team behind SCP-XXXX. It included quotes from the editor-in-chief, ████ ██████, and a picture of ██████ and the managing editor, ███ ███████. Our agents have investigated these people, finding that they don't know anything about SCP-XXXX.
It was reported that there are around ███████ (██) reporters working for SCP-XXXX, and ███████ (██) editors. There are ███████████ (█████) copies which are distributed from ███ to ███ in Washington, D.C., and ████████████. Each copy is worth $2.00, with the Sunday edition costing $5.00.
SCP-XXXX has an odd quality where it reports on events ███ (█) years in the future. It is unknown if these events will happen certainly, but the newspaper has predicted a few events.
- █████████ Election Results: On Sept. ██, 20██, an article in SCP-XXXX reported the ███████ Party's landslide win in the ██████████. It also made mention of the ████████ incumbent, ████████████████, and her controversial advertising campaign.
- U.S. Supreme Court Ruling: On Oct. 19, 20██, an article in SCP-XXXX reported a ruling deliberated upon by the United States Supreme Court. The ruling was on the issue of ████████, with questions being asked about the ███ and ███ amendments.
- Cartoon Creator's Death: On Nov. ██, 20██, an article in SCP-XXXX reported upon the death of ████████ ███████████. It included quotes from D.C. citizens. This event later occurred, and some quotes appeared in other newspaper outlets. Transcript of the article is SCP-XXXX-a.
SCP-XXXX also has reported events that have never happened.
- President Obama's Resignation: It was reported on May ██, 20██, that President Obama resigned because of misconduct in his handling of the █████████ Civil War.
- The Great Canadian Civil War: On Aug. 17, 20██, it was reported that parts of ███████ and ███████████ were hit with stray missile fire from Canada. A skirmish in ███████, CA, caused the launching of these missiles.
- Harold Holt Found: On Dec. ██, 20██, Harold Holt was found in █████████, Venezuela. Investigations are still undergoing.
- Steve Jobs Announces ███████: On June 12, 20██, Steve Jobs announces the ███████, mentioning new features such as eye-recognition, ██████████████, and new apps.
One user from an online discussion mentioned how he didn't recall giving an interview to The Washington ████████, or ever winning ███████████████ from the lottery. He did make note of the lottery numbers, however.
Generally, SCP-XXXX focuses on hard-news stories, with decent reporting. The front page claims it is nationally recognized by multiple organizations. When questioned, these organizations have no record of recognizing this newspaper.
It is unknown how long SCP-XXXX has been appearing in Washington, D.C., or if it will continue appearing.
