Any civilians approaching the established 50 meter perimeter set around SCP-XXXX are to be redirected away from the site. All humans are prohibited from entering SCP-XXXX. with the exception of those who have been diagnosed with any form of dementia.1

Description: SCP-XXXX is a dilapidated ballroom complex located on ████ ██████ road, in the ghost town of ██████, Colorado, United States. On the main stage of the ballroom resides a HMV Model 157 gramophone (designated as SCP-XXXX-1) that is continuously playing "This Is Romance" by Hal Kemp and His Orchestra (1934). SCP-XXXX-1 is an extension of SCP-XXXX, for the use of carrying out it's anomalous effects through sensory stimulation. There is no known way to stop SCP-XXXX-1's loop. No record exists of SCP-XXXX ever being built.

Any human, except for those diagnosed with a form of dementia, upon coming in contact with sound waves from SCP-XXXX-1, will experience SCP-XXXX's anomalous effects. Upon hearing2 SCP-XXXX-1, subjects will begin to experience accelerated brain cell entanglement, causing severe memory loss. Within five (5) hours, subjects will be rendered in a near-vegetative state.

On ██/██/██93, Benjamin ███████ (1█ years of age) reported his younger sister ████ ███████ [REDACTED] missing near the area of SCP-XXXX. The foundation took interest after two (2) law enforcement officers involved in the search for ████ ceased communication and were nowhere to be found. shortly after these disappearances, the foundation acquired the property and began testing on █/██/██94.

Addendum: (01-1), ██/██/██94: Since taking Benjamin ███████ into custody for questioning, it was revealed to the foundation through his medical files that he was diagnosed with young-onset dementia when he was █ years of age. A polaroid Automatic 320 Land Camera was confiscated from ███████, along with a single photo taken from the day of ████ ███████'s dissapearance.

Addendum: (03-2), ██/██/██94: While subjects diagnosed with dementia are able to enter SCP-XXXX without facing any fatal anomalous effects, note that these subjects reported to have completely lost any and all memory of exploration of SCP-XXXX when questioned after.

Addendum: (03-3), ██/██/██94: The missing person's case of ████ ███████ has been resolved. She was found deceased inside of SCP-XXXX, with several blunt force wounds to the head. An autopsy ruled the death conclusively as suicide. The missing officers were found, both deceased from dehydration. Skeletal remains of █ other humans were also found at the site.
