The Relic
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-████ is to be contained in a secure room of Site-██ with armed guards posted outside to prevent any unauthorized access. SCP-████ is to be stored under 24-hour video surveillance in a sealed and locked glass case (12 x 12 x 12 Feet) and the key kept in a secured location accessible only to those personnel with Level 3 clearance and above. Under no circumstances are any Foundation personnel to handle SCP-████. All handling of SCP-████ is to be done via remote robotic means or by D-class test subjects only.
Description: SCP-████ consist of The Relic weighing approximately 13 pounds. The Relic has 3 symbols etched on its surface, the symbols are made of ████. The symbols have been determined to be of Sumerian Alchemical origin. When SCP-████ comes into contact with a living human, it will cause its activation. This will cause the 3 symbols to begin glowing bright green for 4 seconds, after which 3 strands of "vibrant green energy" Will go towards the human. 1 strand for each eye and the 3rd strand going into the mouth of the Human, the strands will cause both eyes to be burned out. After 6 to 9 seconds the strands will return to the symbols, and the human falling dead, with no trace of life. To date nothing as been able to stop the strands going towards the activator, all walls have been burned through, and metal melted.

Addendum 1: SCP-████ was discovered when Mobile Task Force Delta-5 raided a facility operated by The Serpent's Hand in ███████, California. The Raid took place on October 21st, ████. SCP-████ was attached to a module that was damaged by an explosive, leaving only SCP-████. After the raid, removal of SCP-████ proved challenging.When a MTF operator came into contact with SCP-████, it activated causing the operator to expire, later confirmed to have had their soul removed.
Addendum 2: During a breach caused by SCP-682, several green humanoids were released by SCP-████ designated as SCP-████-1-██,they were described as "green ghosts". They were able to walk through the walls, resulting in ██ instances escaping, one however remained in the chamber where SCP-████ is held. This instance will be referred to as SCP-████-1.
A interview was held after the breach was handled, Dr. Richast interviewed the instance in a seperate chamber.

Dr. Richast: "Can you communicate with me?"
SCP-████-1: "I can, you may call me *Silence*,Chuck , Researcher."
Dr. Richast: "Who are you Chuck, what is your purpose?"
SCP-████-1: "I am entity, and I have stayed to enlighten you on The Relic."
Dr. Richast: "What does SCP-████ do, other than kill?"
SCP-████-1: "The relic does not kill, but rather holds onto the souls."
Dr. Richast: "It extracts souls?"
SCP-████-1 stands up
SCP-████-1: "You all had such potential, such promise. But you squandered your gifts, your intelligence. Your blind pursuit of technology and understanding only sped you quicker to your doom. Your world is ending.But humanity must survive."
SCP-████-1 evaporates into nothing
Dr. Richast "That's enough, end the recording, and find him."

Addendum 3: When brought to the attention of SCP-343, he told personnel SCP-████ was created by The Brothers Death, and that the 3 symbols mean knowledge, creation/destruction, and choice, "The 3 Aspects of Humanity". When questioned for its purpose and the humanoid instances, he stated that he would withhold information, for humanity's sake.
Addendum 4 Following the information received, all testing has been put on hold by order of the 05 Council.
Addendum 5 No more instances have formed from SCP-████ since the breach. The ones that formed during the breach and left, have not been found nor reported.
Notes- Creation and destruction are noted as the same due to the inherent balance between the two, (without one there cannot be the other.)
The Serpent's Hand is a group of interest who wishes to share SCPs with the world, and wants them to be known.
The Brothers Death are 3 beings born out of darkness before creation, created the tree of knowledge, from which all creation stems from.
