Special Containment Procedures: SCP-9786 is currently contained at Site-19 in an effort to improve morale among facility personnel. SCP-9786 has been given Level 0 security access.

SCP-9786 is permitted to carry SCP-9786-1 wherever it goes in order to efficiently utilize it's primary anomalous effect.

SCP-9786 is to be given a standard humanoid containment cell to act as it's living quarters. This is to be furnished with a bed, standard foundation office desk, desk lamp, and a bookshelf with books directed toward 8-9 year olds. SCP-9786 may also request various items. A full list of requests can be found in Addendum:9786.2.

SCP-9786-3-A to SCP-9786-3-F are to be locked in a standard anomalous object container. Items can be retrieved by request either by Foundation personnel or by SCP-9786.

SCP-9786-4 is not to be touched by any foundation member. SCP-9786-4's anomalous effects by themselves are to considered adequate punishment for making contact with SCP-9786-4.

SCP-9786 is to be escorted by one Security Officer at all times. In the event of a class 7 containment breach, SCP-9786 is to be granted emergency Level 4 clearence, allowing it to go through any door in the facility. This is to ensure that SCP-9786 successfully exits the facility before the on-site warhead is detonated. In the event of any other class of containment breach and/or an attack by any GOI, SCP-9786 is to be escorted by no fewer than 5 Security Officers out of the facility and to the nearest foundation safehouse.

Description: SCP-9786 is a humanoid biped resembling (Felis catus)¹, and is 127 cm tall. SCP-9786 is often referred to by Foundation personnel and calls itself, "Niko". (Additional information about SCP-9786 can be found in Addendum:9786.3)

SCP-9766 exibits 3 anomalous effects:

+ First anomalous effect

First anomalous effect: When SCP-9786 sleeps, the universe will effectively stop existing, 'shifting' to a 'return point' approximately 25-30 seconds before it wakes up.² At the 'return point' the universe will appear as no time has been lost between SCP-9786 sleeping and the before mentioned 'return point'. While this effect would normally be impossible to observe, Foundation parallel universe Y7K-█████-███ was able to observe and document these shifts while SCP-9786 was uncontained leading to SCP-9786 becoming known to the Foundation. Whether this effect is triggered by SCP-9786 losing consciousness or simply it sleeping is unknown. While this effect is harmless on it's own, SCP-9786 could accidentally trigger a ZK-Class End of The World scenario if it was terminated or put into a coma due to there being no 'return point' where SCP-9786 regains consciousnesses. (provided the "consciousness" hypothesis is correct)

+ Second anomalous effect

Second anomalous effect: SCP-9786 is extremely resistant to Class-C Amnesics. While appearing to work at first, SCP-9786 will easily re-gain lost memories often within a few hours. In cases where the memory greatly influenced SCP-9786's subconscious, the Amnestic may not have any effect at all.

SCP-9786-1 is a large light bulb with a diameter of 36 cm. When SCP-9786 holds SCP-9786-1, it will begin to glow with a strength of approximately 550 lumens. SCP-9786 can continue to glow for a maximum of 28 hours after contact with SCP-9786 has been broken.

Any human bipedal entity that is exposed to this light will be subjected to 2 anomalous effects:

+ Primary anomalous effect

Primary effect: 87.3% of subjects exposed to SCP-9786-1 will become more relaxed and focused³ with subjects being ~72% more productive after being exposed to SCP-9786-1. However, if the subject has been informed of this effect, it will be only 10% as effective compared to non-informed subjects. Amnesics have been proven to counter this.

+ Secondary anomalous effect

Secondary effect: Subjects exposed to SCP-9786-1 will loose all ability to harm SCP-9786.

+ Addendum:9786.3 - Additional Information 

SCP-9786 can be rewarded with hazelnut pancakes for good behavior. (For a complete list of SCP-9786's dietary requirements, contact researcher Velasquez.)

SCP-9786's eyes emit 0.75 lumens of light at all times, allowing it to be seen in low light levels.

SCP-9786 has a metabolism estimated to be 4 to 7 times slower than an average human. As a result, SCP-9786 is able to go multiple days without requiring food or water. Another effect of this is that SCP-9786 appears to develop at a much slower rate compared to humans.

SCP-9786 has expressed interest in becoming a Foundation Researcher.
