Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is kept at site-66 in a well-ventilated room. Staff working with SCP-XXXX are to be decontaminated when exiting SCP-XXXX's storage room. Specimen of SCP-XXXX should be stored in frozen test tubes when not undergoing testing.

Any individuals suffering early symptoms of SCP-XXXX infection must be quarantined for 2 weeks (see description for symptoms list). Patients should be treated with a variety of Antiviral drugs. Individuals affected by SCP-XXXX may exit quarantine after symptoms have subsided.

Personnel who have a more advanced stage of the disease are to be treated with the previously mentioned strategies, with amputation of infected limbs as a backup option for extreme cases.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a viral infectious disease that infects the skin. It spreads mostly through dried flakes that fall off the skin of infected areas during the 3rd stage of infection. The disease progresses in 4 distinct stages, each with its own symptoms.

Stage of Infection	Symptoms
Stage 1: Initial infection, SCP-XXXX infects an area of skin and symptoms appear after an incubation period of 4-6 days.	None
Stage 2: Illness Stage, the virus begins the process of fully infecting the skin. This stage is localized to small patches of skin and is most often when the disease is detected	Infected skin becomes dry and irritated, often accompanied by a low fever.
Stage 3: Infection Expansion, the virus begins to spread out throughout the body and infect deeper into the limbs	Growing pain in limbs and a high fever. Area of infected skin will greatly expand
Stage 4: Viral reproduction, the final stage of infection is marked by the production of dry skin flakes that are able to spread the infection further.	Infected areas will be fully disintegrated and turned into vectors of infection.
