Drone Video Feed Capture of Dulwark, Russia
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: WARNING SCP-XXXX is classified as a Anti-memetic Cognitohazard, any audio recordings or images taken within SCP-XXXX-1 must be contained and recovered. Any mention of SCP-XXXX-1 must be removed and destroyed with primary focus to any audio recordings of SCP-XXXX-1. An automated search function has been set up to routinely check for any mentions of SCP-XXXX-1 on the internet. If any online reference or mention of SCP-XXXX-1 is detected, the program will cause the offending website to be shut down temporarily while it goes through the files and deletes the required data pertaining to SCP-XXXX-1. If any particular internet users are found to continually post or discuss about SCP-XXXX-1, the program will follow a list of procedures to silence the person in the following order: deleting accounts on websites where they discuss SCP-XXXX-1, attempting to deploy a trojan horse virus to wipe data off of the offenders computer, sending a detainment recommendation for the offender to be taken in for memory adjustment or permanent detainment.
In addition to the prior procedures for preventing unauthorized access to SCP-XXXX-1, a 1 meter thick cement wall has been built .5 kilometers around SCP-XXXX-1. The wall has been equipped with outward facing cameras with motion detection and several minefield warning signs. The wall is regularly patrolled by an armed escort once every hour to maintain security and to try and prevent any person from crossing the wall into SCP-XXXX-1.
Every 6 months a class D personnel is sent over the wall and required to walk towards the center of SCP-XXXX-1. The class D personnel has a hand counting communicator that he presses every step towards town. Once within SCP-XXXX-1, the class D personnel stops pressing the device and is seen running towards Dulwark. This information helps determine the area of SCP-XXXX-1 to evaluate if the wall is required to be abandoned and rebuilt another 0.5 kilometers away from the perimeter of SCP-XXXX-1.
Any individual found to have heard a recording originating from within SCP-XXXX-1 must be recovered and placed into a medical coma. These comatose individuals are placed within Site 17 for study by medical researchers. These individuals must be taken from their comma every 365 days in a containment cell to run tests for no longer than 24 hours before being placed in a medically induced comma and returned to storage.
Description: SCP-XXXX composition, shape, size, and appearance are unknown. It is currently believed to be located in the center of a small town named Dulwark in rural Siberia. The origins of and when SCP-XXXX first appeared are unknown. It is unknown if SCP-XXXX is living, sentient, or inorganic. It is believed that SCP-XXXX releases some sound that is imperceptible by equipment or to a listener but any who hear it have their mind altered to not see or remember SCP-XXXX. Affected persons also experience a psychotic delusion that there is a group referred to as "they" or "them" that are trying to find and kill the affected person. The affected persons believe that the only safe place is within SCP-XXXX-1 and will exert every effort to reach that place, if they are unable to enter SCP-XXXX-1, the affected will commit suicide by tearing off their ears, attempting to pull their eyes out, then attempting to continue to scratch in they eye socket attempting to damage their brain within 24-72 hours. SCP-XXXX-1 is defined as the area that has an mind altering affect to any who enter or listen to audio originating from within the defined area. SCP-XXXX-2 are static disturbance areas found during explorations of SCP-XXXX-1. It is unknown if SCP-XXXX-2 are part of SCP-XXXX or are just not able to be viewed by digital or organic vision. The composition, appearance, and shape of SCP-XXXX-2 is unknown. SCP-XXXX-3 is a group of persons that appear to be living within SCP-XXXX-1, it is unknown how long each have been there. Population estimates are taken each year, see Addendum XXXX.1 for further information.
SCP-XXXX was first discovered in 1968 when a researcher named Ethan Johnston went missing after receiving a voice recording in the mail from a relative who had gone missing several years prior. After looking into the missing researcher, the foundation determined that he left immediately from his home after listening to the recording and purchased a ticket headed for the Irkutsk International Airport. The only items found in the researchers home indicated was a note mentioning a cassette tape but the tape itself was not recovered by the foundation. Mobile Task Force Sigma-16 was dispatched to follow and bring back the researcher alive, if possible. Upon arriving in the Irkutsk International Airport, the MTF found that the researcher had stolen a car 2 days prior and had been chased by local police out of town. The local police who engaged in the chase never returned back to town. The MTF reported this information back to their liaison at the foundation and advised they were going to follow after the researcher. The route the researcher seemed to have traveled was an old road that led to a small town named Dulwark. Mobile Task Force Sigma-16 sent no further communication and no sign of the team has been recovered at this time.
From the years 1969 to 1994 the foundation sent 11 more Mobile Task Force teams into SCP-XXXX-1 but as before none returned. During this time, the foundation had no further observed disappearances of civilians or other non-dispatched personnel.
On July 8th, 2004, flight Delta 9357 for, at the time, unknown reasons changed its course from Spain and landed in a field in Siberia. Later recovered from the black box of the plane, the foundation learned that a passenger received a phone call from a sales company within a smaller town in rural Siberia. The passenger upon answering the call, placed it on speaker and walked up to the front of the plane to speak with the pilot. Any who heard the phone call began to follow the passenger up to the cabin. The pilot upon hearing the call redirected the plane and landed it within 1 kilometer of the town Dulwark, Russia where the phone call initiated from. The 285 civilians on the plane were never seen from that day on.
Mobile Task Force Delta-83 was assigned to enter into the town of Dulwark to attempt to recover any information on what happened to the plane. The MTF were equipped with body cameras transmitting back to Site 98 where a team of researchers were watching the live video only feeds and sending directives back to MTF D-83. Containment Specialist Dave Harthrow was the one communicating over audio to the MTF leader and requested that they stay 1 kilometer outside of the town until the encountered the plane. The plane was found to have crashed into the side of an industrial building on the outskirts of the town, as the MTF approached they immediately took off their body cameras. Still having open audio communication, CS Harthrow, moments after, stood up and attempted to run for the door, reportedly yelling "I must get away. I must find the safety." The other researchers restrained CS Harthrow and placed him in a temporary containment cell. See Addendum XXXX.2 for the documented interviews of CS Harthrow following the incident.
Visual Investigation Drone
Following this incident, a drone was assembled to record and transmit video only back to the researchers. On November 27th, 2005, the drone was brought 2 kilometers from the edge of Dulwark, Russia and remote controls by researchers at Site 98. The drone was piloted towards and into Dulwark, as the drone approached town and headed towards the center, areas of drones video feed were slowly replaced by static over what is assumed to be part of SCP-XXXX. Researchers piloted the drone around several of these static zones and found the static was stable in the same place in local space while the rest of vision remained intact. Individuals were seen walking around town as if going through their daily life. As the drone continued to move towards the center of the town, the static areas became larger and more frequent until the feed was entirely static. After this point, connection with the drone was lost. For a transcription of events of the video feed recorded, see Addendum XXXX.3.
Drone Distortion Video Capture
In January 2008, 294 individuals went missing due to a video posted on the internet by a resident in SCP-XXXX-1.
Addendum XXXX.1: Population Data
Data collected on the population of SCP-XXXX-3 every year since 2010 by a High Altitude Reconnaissance drone using visual and thermal camera systems over the course of 24 hours. Due to SCP-XXXX-2, it is not possible to gain an exact count resulting in the data being an estimation. The HAS drone records data estimating the number of adults and children within SCP-XXXX-1. Estimations show seemly high death rate of adults but also high birth rate of children.

Interviewer: Hi Dave, my name is Dr. ███████. I'm here to help you but first I need to ask you a few questions, can you help me do that for you?
CS Harthrow: I need to get out, don't you understand? Can't you hear them?
Interviewer: [Silent for a minute] I'm sorry Dave, all I can hear is the air conditioning in the facility. Do you know where you are right now?
CS Harthrow: They know, they know but so do I. Coming, they said, I must get to the safe.
Interviewer: What safe are you looking for? Did they ask you to try and free something from the facility?
CS Harthrow: I must get to where they cannot follow. No, no, no, no. You can't understand it.
Interviewer: Who are they Dave? Is there someone who has been following you? Are they the ones who have been taking our field teams?
CS Harthrow: No no no, straight is the line we go. They are all around, you must hear them to understand. They are safe now, very safe.
Interviewer: What did you hear when you were talking with the Mobile Task Force earlier today? Did someone else talk to you after they turned off their body cameras?
CS Harthrow: Just the white, the white, the pure, the whole. Many will hear, we must bring them to the safe where they will be free.
Interviewer: Where is this safe place, Dave? Would you be able to describe it to me?
CS Harthrow: Among the white horses where it falls: frozen, warm, peace.
Interviewer: How about we continue this tomorrow, Dave? Get some sleep and hopefully you can think a bit clearer tomorrow. If you can help me understand, I can help you.

CS Harthrow: I can hear them breathing all around, they are waiting. I must get out, let me go and then I will be safe.
Interviewer: Let's talk about what happened yesterday, do you remember anything more about what you heard over the communication line?
CS Harthrow: They were the hunters and now they are the hunted but do not worry, they are safe now.
Interviewer: Do you know why the task force disabled their body cameras?
CS Harthrow: Didn't want them to see anything.
Interviewer: Who didn't want them to see anything? Is there someone or something in Dulwark that affected their minds somehow?
CS Harthrow: You must hear to see and once you see, you live in peace and tranquility. They cannot attack us in the safe.
Interviewer: How do you know this information, Dave? Are you hearing someone talk to you?
CS Harthrow: I heard and knew, haven't you heard?
Interviewer: No, I haven't heard. Is there a way to get into this safe place without hearing? Can we send someone in safely so they can return?
CS Harthrow: Now I see, you are with they. I must be safe!
<End Log, 09.08.2004 20.26.19>
Closing Statement: Containment Specialist Dave Harthrow after this final statement, leaped forward and began assaulting Dr. ███████. By the time the patient had been subdued, Dr. ███████ had died due to blood loss. The patient had torn out the doctors throat with his teeth.
Addendum XXXX.3: Drone Footage Log
A transcription of events of drone footage as it entered SCP-XXXX-1. The drone was remotely piloted by researchers at Site 98.
VIDEO LOG
DATE: 11.27.2005
NOTE: Video feed recording is kept securely in an offsite location restricted to viewing by onsite personnel with level 4 clearance.
[BEGIN LOG]
12.49.52 Drone remote controls activated. Distance from Dulwark town center: 2.05 km.
13.02.49 First building is seen by drone as it approaches town. Thermal camera also indicates several heat spots which may be lifeforms.
13.15.03 Passed first building and entering into town. Thermal readings indicate 15 confirmed civilians inside the nearby buildings. More unconfirmed heat signatures noted further in town.
13.20.59 While looking further into town, some static interference is noted making image distorted in places.
13.24.30 First static disturbance is found. Drone circles the static and finds that it is around an area about 1 meter in diameter that is stable in localized space. Thermal camera feed shows a black zone in the same space as the static disturbance.
13.28.19 Two more static disturbances are found in the road each estimated to be 1 meter in diameter. Thermal camera reveals same black zones on these static disturbances as well.
13.32.53 While investigating a static disturbance, two humans are seen walking down the street talking with each other. They do not appear to notice the drone walking past it.
13.38.00 The drone follows the two individuals further into town, more static disturbances are seen. Most are estimated to be 1 meter in diameter with several appearing to be up to 8 meters tall and 1 meter wide.
13.40.39 The two individuals continue talking and are seen walking around the disturbances taking no note or interest in them. The amount of static disturbances have greatly increased. GPS shows the drone being only .3 kilometers from the center of town.
13.41.41 As the drone has continued following the two individuals, the static disturbances are taking up nearly 50% of the video feed However, the individuals can be seen walking in front of and covering up the disturbances in some cases as they walk, showing the static seems to only prevent the true nature of the image from being seen. One of the tall disturbances, which have hitherto been stationary and unmoving, begins to bend down and as it appears to make contact with one of the individuals, the individual is immediately replaced by static preventing them from being seen. The other individual shows a look of horror and shock for a moment then stops, looks around with a blank stare and continues walking.
13.44.11 The drone attempts to follow the individual deeper into town, what is estimated to be town square in the video is entirely replaced by static disturbance and the video ends as connection with the drone is lost.
