Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4980 is contained in a 1.5 m x 1.5 m x 2 m (5 ft x 5 ft x 6.5 ft) sealed container, 6 in. thick, comprised of lead-lined steel with four (4) armed personnel stationed on each side of the the container. Any strange activity within five (5) meters of the containment cell is to be reported immediately.

Description: SCP-4980 is a adult jackrabbit, standing at about 0.6 meters (2 ft), weighing approximately 2.6 kg (5.7 lb). SCP-4980 appears to have human teeth, a full set including the wisdom teeth. When approached, SCP-4980 begins to emit a high pitched sound, which persuades anybody in a 3 m (9.8 ft) radius to come closer. Once a person is within reach, SCP-4980 jumps at them, and proceeds to ingest them. SCP-4980 is shown to be able to survive without food or water for up to 2 months at a time.

SCP-4980 was found in ███████, Nebraska on 10/16/20██. Any evidence of SCP-4980 was taken and destroyed. Any being alive after an encounter with SCP-4980 was taken into the Foundation to be tested. Certain people with bites from SCP-4980 experienced dizziness, passed out, and died about two (2) to three (3) days after the incident.

Addendum 4980-01: Testing on SCP-4980 discontinued after 11/23/20██

Addendum 4980-02: SCP-4980 was shown to be extremely hostile to humans, yet docile to other mammals.
