SCP-████ cloud cumulonimbus forming
Item #: SCP-████
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: Due to the random nature of SCP-████ occurrences there are no means of Containment. In the occurrence of a SCP-████ event a minimum 100 mile no fly zone airspace to be kept to prevent aircraft getting hijacked by SCP-████'s anomalous effects. All surviving civilians are to be given class A amnestics.
Description: SCP-████ is a weather phenomenon similar to Cloud iridescence which occurs when ice crystals or water droplets in the atmosphere scatter the light. Cloud iridescence is the occurrence of colours in a cloud similar to those seen on oil films on puddles and is similar to irisation. The colours are usually pastel but can be very vivid.
SCP-████ will develop over time with the formation of storm clouds such as cumulonimbus along with many anomalous events. One of these anomalous effects causes any manned and unmanned aircraft within a 100 mile range of SCP-████ to become instances of SCP-████-1, cease current activities and fly towards SCP-████ eventually ending up with a flight path orbiting around the clouds of SCP-████ at varying altitudes. A visual cue for instances of SCP-████-1 is the iridescent contrails they lead, with appearance similar to the clouds of SCP-████. Any pilots and crew flying will cease external communication. Drones and RC planes will also ignore control from there remotes and attempt to fly near SCP-████ at there given altitudes. Instances of SCP-████ running low on fuel will continue on there new flight path of SCP-████ until stalling and crashing into the ground with a high fatality rate of all crew and passengers on bored. Drones and RC planes running low on battery or fuel will glide and attempt to crash land into a grass clearing or backyard property.
Instances of SCP-████-1 will also appear inside clouds of SCP-████ without any clear origins with increasing frequency as SCP-████ formation progresses. SCP-████-1 instances that have been hijacked from existing aircraft and appeared without any known source include:
Instance of SCP-████-1 and it's distinctive rainbow coloured contrail

About one third into the life span of SCP-████ varying firearms and small arms ammunition designated SCP-████-2 will rain out of the sky in random periodic intervals. SCP-████-2 instances may or may not come with there designated ammo or blanks. SCP-████-2 instances include:
- AR-15
- Colt 911
- Mark 5 revolver
- Mosin nagant
- Lee enfeild
- K98
- Remington 700
- AK-47
Arachnids with lengths of 1.5 – 1.8 m designated as SCP-████-3 spawn halfway through the lifespan of SCP-████ at ground level directly below the clouds. SCP-████-3 is hostile to animals within it's proximity, including humans and is capable of running up to speeds of ██ m/s when hunting. SCP-████-3 spits acidic venomous balls from it's abdomen and acidic venom from its chelicerae that demobilises it's prey which attacks the nervous system, tiring it down causing it to eventually fall unconscious. The acidic venom will then chemically break down the body of the prey which SCP-████-3 will feast upon. SCP-████-3 instances feature rainbow coloured camouflage similar to aposematic animals which feature signs that warn other animals away.
In the final stages of SCP-████'s life, instances of SCP-████-1 will fly in formations around the cumulonimbus of SCP-████ forming orbital rings. Instances of SCP-████-3 will die and remains will putrefy rapidly. This will continue until SCP-████ undergoes [REDACTED].
It is the avowed belief that SCP-████ is [REDACTED] from Greek goddess Iris, goddess of rainbows and messenger of Zeus and Hera to the mortals below based on correlations with ancient Greek mythology.
