Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is always to be locked in a heat resistant glass display. In the case that the glass becomes damaged, SCP-XXXX is to be relocated to a new heat resistant glass display. Access to SPC-XXXX requires minimum Clearance 2 with authorization and supervision by Clearance 3 research and security staff respectively. Before interacting with SCP-XXXX for testing, test subjects must pass a psychological test to avoid accidents.
Description:: SCP-XXXX is a 5 cm long 10 cm tall quartz gem with numerous cracks in its surface. No contact must be made with SCP-XXXX without the properly permission from level 3 personnel, and only for testing.
Upon held, SCP-XXXX will start to glow in a specific color and emit heat or cold depending on the current mood of its wielder in a 5-meter radius. It has been observed that SCP-XXXX has two different states when held: either it glows in warm colors and emits heat, or it glows in cold colors and emits cold.
Despite the atmosphere surrounding SCP-XXXX changes temperature, its wielder does not perceive any change whatsoever and can even proceed with its normal activities without realizing. The wielder can, though, perceive this change in the temperature as SCP-XXXX heats up or cools down depending on these changes.
Research has proven that the source of this temperature comes from inside SCP-XXXX and is expelled through the cracks in its surface. In extreme cases, the temperature generated by SCP-XXXX has been observed to be able to shatter glass, see addendum 1 below.
