Anothr instance of SCP-XXXX

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: Any instances of SCP-XXXX are to be immediately located and taken to site-██. Once there, they are to be contained in a unit identical to those used for mentally unstable patients in institutes and are to be adorned in straitjackets. Security cameras are to be placed in the top corner of the cell. After 5 days,SCP-XXXX-1 will be administrated class-A amnestics in gas form and released back into their home. SCP-XXXX-1 must then be monitored for the next 2 weeks for signs of SCP-XXXX. During the amnestics process, a D-class suffering from a irrational fear must also be brought into the room, and strapped with a straitjacket. If SCP-XXXX manifests, an MTF team armed with incendiary weapons and drones to locate and destroy SCP-XXXX-1's body, or another person suffering from the same irrational phobia. All nearby civilians are to be interviewed to see if they suffer from any irrational fears. Then they will all be administrated class-A amnestics. Those that do suffer from irrational fears must be monitored for signs of SCP-XXXX. In the case of Panphobia, a D-class suffering from Panphobia is held in a safe location in a medically induced coma. Upon Panphobia manifesting, the D-class is to be immediately killed.

Another instance of SCP-XXXX

Description: SCP-XXXX is an anomalous phenomenon that occurs in 15% of individuals with extremely intense irrational fears, such as autophobia, arachnophobia, scopophobia, or trypophobia. Someone infected with SCP-XXXX becomes known as SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-1 will feel strong feelings of dread, unease, and paranoia. SCP-XXXX-1 will see a massive increase in their subject of phobia and will see SCP-XXXX in reflective surfaces, paintings, drawings, and photos, and begin to see it crawling around their house or stalking them at night. After 5 days, SCP-XXXX-1 will feel a strong desire to kill themself, as a seemingly insatiable urge. According to a survivor, he felt itchy, feverish, and had a strong headache longer it took him to kill himself. If SCP-XXXX-1 manages to commit suicide, SCP-XXXX will physically manifest and go on a killing rampage. SCP-XXXX has different forms for different phobias, yet all have the same physical capabilities of SCP-096. SCP-XXXX can be stopped and killed by the destruction of SCP-XXXX-1's corpse, or the murder of another human suffering from the same phobia as SCP-XXXX-1.

Addendum: SCP-XXXX currently has 13 known forms, each for a different irrational fear. The phobias are as follows:

  • Panphobia
  • Megalaphobia
  • Thanatophobia
  • Pediophobia
  • Trypophobia
  • Scopophobia
  • Autophobia
  • Claustrophobia
  • Nyctophobia
  • Ophidiophobia
  • Thalassophobia
  • Entomophobia
  • Arachnapohobia

Each form has a different set of powers, and have all occurred once, aside from Panphobia. Panphobia is believed to be nigh-omnipotent if occurs, hence the precautions taken to stop it immediately.

Interviewed: Aaron White

Interviewer: Dr. █████(Before his termination)

Foreword: Aaron White was a victim of SCP-XXXX( Megalophobia in particular) who was being interviewed shortly before he was administrated amnestics.

<Begin Log>

Dr. █████: I have been told you have been infected with SCP-XXXX. Is that correct?

Aaron White: Yes, it appears so.

Dr. █████: May I ask what phobia you yourself have dealt with?

Aaron White: Megalophobia. Fear of large creatures.

Dr. █████: I see. What have you experienced as a byproduct of this?

Aaron White: Crazy stuff, man. Its eyes were just peering through the windows its massive face filling up a whole street, terrifying.

Dr. █████: How does it appear?

Aaron White: Like a mix of frog, angler fish, and shark.

Dr. █████: Interesting. How do you feel right now? Can you see him?

Aaron White: How I feel? Itchy. Feverish. Energetic. And I see him in that window right there.

Dr. █████: Very well. Now that seems to conclude our interview. Thank you.

<End Log>

Closing Statement: Aaron appears to have grown used to SCP-XXXX's appearance, in a similar fashion to SCP-1417-A. After administrating amnestics, Aaron had no clue about previous occurrences.

Test A - Date5/6/1967

Subject: SCP-XXXX-1

Procedure: In an attempt to avoid breaches, Dr. █████ has asked requested permission to use amnestics on SCP-XXXX-1 to terminate SCP-XXXX. Permission was granted.

Results: SCP-XXX-1 was successfully cured of SCP-XXXX on day 5. However, SCP-XXXX is not terminated, instead, it moves to a new host suffering from irrational fears in a 3-mile radius, or, if there is none, a random person.

Analysis: The use of amnestics on day 5 has proven extremely viable, so new containment measures to trap SCP-XXXX have now been implemented.

Interviewed: Agent Dresden Blake

Interviewer: Agent Jonathan Reid

Foreword: After a breach of SCP-XXXX-1, Agent Dresden Black who was currently guarding SCP-XXXX-1 was interviewed to understand how the breach occurs.

<Begin Log>

Interviewer: It says here you were responsible for the breach at site-██. Is this true?

Person: Yes. I was responsible.

Interviewer: How did the breach occur?

Person: I was guarding the door, as was stated. Then I heard screams coming from the cell.

Interviewer: Screams?

Person: Yeah. It was SCP-XXXX-1. So I went to try and help, but she headbutted me and ran. I guess when you're powered by fear, you can run like hell. Anyway, she ran past.

Interviewer: What happened next?

Person: Another guard shot her. Killed her.

Interviewer: Yes. Agent Blake. He was killed during the breach.

Person: Oh. God.

Interviewer: My condolences. That would appear to be the end of our interview. Thank you for your cooperation.

<End Log>

Closing Statement: Due to the nature of the breach, Agent Black was let off with a warning. He has, however, be temporarily transferred to a new cell.
